Last minute #bookspin list!

I‘m in a short story mood right now, so I decided to make an all short story (or novel in stories) #bookspin list for August. Once again, I‘m not doing bingo, but I‘d like to try to read at least 5 of these. Some of these titles are quite a mouthful!! 😂😂

That calla lilies didn‘t disappoint this year!! (And this is after my mom‘s bestie took more than a dozen.)

I‘m skipping bingo in June because it‘s going to be a crazy month (and I want to mood read as much as possible 😂), but I can‘t miss regular #bookspin!

Well, I woke up sick this morning. I hope it‘s just a cold. Trying to start a new book, but my eyes are struggling. Please no Covid!! (I am vaxxed and boosted.) But here‘s my #bookspin #bookspinbingo list. 🤧😷

Well I have time this morning to look at these picks but not enough to make my board! 👎🏻

Anyway, excited for how it turned out! I‘ve been putting Mercury off for August because I was intimidated by its (admittedly not super long) length, but I love Marra. Kleeman is another story…I HATED her book before this one, however the blurb on this sounded very different, so I took a risk at Book Outlet. 😬😬

It‘s #BookspinBingo with kittens! Now that all my bookmail has arrived, I feel pretty confident with this list.

My dad spotted these kittens chilling on our ramp a couple of weeks ago. We have a neighbor who will fix feral cats and adopt out the kittens when ready, so we get a fair number of dumps. ☹️ This was the first we saw of these adorable babies, though! 😻

Well, I‘m more excited for these #bookspin #doublespin picks than my root canal this afternoon! Lol.

#3 is putting a few books I‘d like to reread into Spin the Wheel and seeing where it lands. I thought that would be a fun way to cut through my indecisiveness.

An Ocean of Minutes is a random find at my local used bookstore. I like that it has a blurb from Omar El-Akkad, so I‘m looking forward to it. 👍🏻👍🏻

Molly was being trained to hunt before I got her, and she still likes to to track squirrels. This one was totally oblivious chowing on mushroom. 😵‍💫🍄🐿 lol

#BOTM finally dropped, and I got 5-7. Excited for the Slaughter and Marra plus I‘m trying to read more gothic fiction (7).

8 & 9 are gifted copies from @VikingBooks and 19 & 20 are the final books for this year‘s #CampLitsy. 🏕 Should be a good month! #BookspinBingo #Bookspin

Things I‘m looking forward to in June: seeing David Sedaris with my dad, rereading 6 & 12 for #CampLitsy 🏕, and my Mona Lisa lilies blooming!

I was vaguely hoping my #bookspin or #doublespin would force me to read a mount TBR book I put on, but I am reasonably happy that they are two books I definitely planned to read.

I‘m going to try to follow the NYRB discussion on Basic Black with Pearls, but tbh, I‘m afraid I‘m not smart enough to hang. 🫣 The Novak is my #LPMBC #GroupC choice, so it‘s definitely happening too.

I had to do a Kentucky Derby background for May! 🐎 (No, I‘ve never been. Waaayyyy out of my price range. Even the infield, which used to be a cheap thing for locals, is too expensive now.)

I can‘t believe I got four bingos! This is the most print books I‘ve read in a month since I started reading mainly audiobooks. Very excited! Plus the board looks pretty. 🤩🤩 #BookspinBingo

I thought this would be the month that nothing changed, but apparently not. I‘m first at the library for The Candy House and Sea of Tranquility, so I can‘t justify buying them (yet), so they have been removed and other print books subbed in.
