#BOTM delivery! I‘m most excited for tagged. Hope it‘s good!
Strayed and finished this book last night. It was a mail biter but I definitely think I mostly blew through it because I was scared for the dog. 2.5⭐️ #botm
I was fully not prepared for this book. I honestly thought it‘d be a fun historical fiction read, instead there was so much more depth to it. Loved it, the characters could have had more dimension but other than that I can‘t stop thinking about it. 4⭐️ #botm
My #bookspin, #doublespin, and overly ambitious June print TBR shelf that doesn‘t include my June #botm picks, my #lmpbc, or anything I may purchase at Parnassus on Monday. 😏 I put my Elizabeth Warren bookend on that shelf, and hopefully she has a plan for how I‘m going to get through them all!
Thank you to @BkClubCare for sending Chouette! I started today and am really enjoying it!

I loved this novel. Set in 15th century China, the author has fictionalized the life of an actual woman doctor from that time, based on a book she wrote that is actually still available. How she becomes a respected practitioner from a 15-year-old bride makes for fabulous reading. The story is one of the role of women, the history of medicine, childbirth, friendship, and it even includes a mystery and intrigue. This may be See's best book yet. 5/5
