This was actually better than expected. A bit of a different story as some of these thrillers can be alot of the same.
Nicola meets James on a plane and they begin a romance. He brings her into his close group of college friends who all welcome her….but one, James‘s ex.
I enjoyed this one.

1. Not really. Food where I live is either very expensive or nothing special. 😔
2. I do like food references in books I read. My most unforgettable is from the tagged book. I read this YEARS ago (wonderful book) and the main character would eat “wet” sandwiches (ie with cold slaw) while leaning over the sink. Those sandwiches sounded SO good.

My Mom would read to me and it was the lovliest memory….my favorite being the tagged series. I also loved Uncle Wiggly. And my Mom always took me to the library. She basically fed my love of reading.

I liked the beginning and the last third of the book. The middle became a bit tedious. Overall, I liked it. I really wanted to love it. 😕
