True biz? This was pretty great. An education, to be sure. I loved learning so much about Deaf culture and history. One of those books that helps you to see the world differently and think about things you‘ve never thought of before. #BOTM

Addison_Reads Great review! I'm even more excited to read it now. 2d

This is one of my #BOTM books but I think EH‘s books are better on audio so that‘s the direction I took. I loved this one! This is one of her forays into historical fiction and I loved reading about the characters in Nantucket in the summer of ‘69. So much interesting stuff happening that year. 5⭐️

RenePenn I enjoyed this one too! 2d
RenePenn Have you read 28 summers? That was a good one too. 2d
JenlovesJT47 @RenePenn yes! I sped through that whole thing in a day and thought it was a good story, although I did get really frustrated with the main characters. The follow-up novella was nice too. 2d
Megabooks I like her books better on audio too! 2d

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

True Biz is a triumph - equally engaging and educational, it‘s an invitation to expand perspectives, a celebration of deaf culture, and a rallying call for allies. #BOTM

Wow, this book is phenomenal! The story itself is compelling, but it's truly impressive how well it weaves in a much needed (and appreciated) lesson about deaf culture. #BOTM

Read through this #botm in a day!

A story of two women and how their lives eventually intertwine. Literary lesbian romance, with more focus on the literary than romance angle. This lives and the struggles they go through are detailed, making them seem more real.

Rating this 4/5, great quick queer read. Spoiler thoughts in comments.

Kitta Spoiler: I‘m sorry but no one goes from nothing to shooting heroin immediately! That part wasn‘t believable at all. I wish they made her overdose on something else. 1w
Kitta Also why would her dad make that drawing and then keep it for someone to find? Seems unlikely and strange behaviour. 1w

I really enjoyed this haunted house/horror novel. Forbidden love, a sexy priest/witch and a strong female character made this a must read for me. #botm hasn‘t let me down so far this year and has exposed me to really great books! Happy Mother‘s Day to all you mom littens.
