What a gem of a book!

I am personally not a fan of positive affirmations. They‘re just not my thing and I find them overly optimistic. Disappointing affirmations are more up my alley so I ended up loving this book.

Light pick…the writing was less than stellar - how many times McFadden repeats the same thing over and over got on my nerves - but the thrill of the story kept me reading and the various twists. And the end - wow! I can see why she has become extremely popular, with long waiting lists for her books at the libraries. Fast read that left me gasping in parts. #52BookClub24 #AnAuthorEveryoneHasRead

Hooked_on_books I keep seeing this everywhere, but I think the repititon you mention would drive me batty. Otherwise, it sounds fun! 10h
Librarybelle @Hooked_on_books I probably would not have continued because of the repetition except for the twists she would throw into the narrative. That‘s what really got me through the book! 9h
Kristy_K Good choice! I also haven‘t read her. 6h

This is so freaking funny. But maybe not quite as funny as the first one. Definitely do the audio.

Hooked_on_books I‘ll have to look for this. I loved the first one. What a great sense of humor these ladies have. 9h
DebinHawaii I loved their first book too. Stacking! 📚 5h

4✨I remember watching a classic movie of this book a long time ago. I just could not remember the ending. A young boy and his father respect the land and the land owner that allows them to live there. One day Danny finds himself drawn to a beautiful dog. He trains him and cares for him as they navigate through the dangers that surround them. Specifically, from Old Majesty a tough bear in the area. I found out this is a series too.

Roary47 This was my #Roll100 for March. #BookSpinBingo for March, and new to my #SeriesLove list that is ever growing. 😅 12h
TheSpineView I read this series when I was young. Enjoyed it!💜🐕📖📚 12h

This book gets full marks for being absolutely lovely, with tons of beautiful photographs. However, while the theme was good, the material was very repetitive. They gave the steps for planning a garden (found in virtually any gardening book: hardscape, focal points, anchor plants, filler plants, groundcover), then said, “you can replace any of your regular plants with edible plants!!“ and then covered the same steps for your front yard, back yard⬇

TheAromaofBooks (cont'd) and containers, so they ended up saying the same things a lot. There were a few interesting ideas, but these authors are also from SoCal, so while they threw out some little possibilities for those of us who live where the land freezes half the year, it definitely felt like the focus was on people who can garden pretty much year round. A nice book to page through, but it didn't really bring anything unique to the table for me. 14h

A soft pick for the first #BakerStreetIrregulars buddy read. I liked the concept and the characters, but the pacing was all over the place. This definitely had “first book in a series“ vibes (hopefully it is!!), with a lot of character introductions. So many different mysteries meant that some things felt glossed over in the end. However, all in all a fun read, and I would definitely pick up a sequel.

dabbe I'm halfway through and agree with you 💯! 11h
BookishMadHatter This is the first Patterson book that's interested me in forever. The concept is making me curious 9h

Here‘s my review for a book I just finished reading. I‘m counting this book for #bookspinbingo and adding it to one of my free space spots on my bingo board. I‘m also going to count this for #serieslove2024 and #readyourkindle. This trilogy is on my #readyourkindle list for this month.
