Prodigal Summer | Barbara Kingsolver
post image
Pickpick

I just finished PS while vacationing in FLA. I enjoyed this read so much and remain in awe of Kingsolver‘s writing acumen! 3 interwoven stories taking place in a mountainous valley of Appalachia. I found myself tearing up and laughing out loud. Kingsolver‘s ability to put me in the setting is perfection itself! I felt like I was in this lush green world! A little late but I‘m mailing it on to the next person in #Round20 #LMPBC #GroupC 4.5/5⭐️

Readergrrl And I have Broken Monsters from Jenny on my nightstand to begin tonight. (edited) 1w

Finally! I narrowed down my choices! Here‘s to a great final round of what I think is the best part of Litsy! #LMPBC #GroupC I‘m happy with any of these choices, so I‘ll go with the majority in this. If none of them peak your collective interest, I have many more to offer!

5feet.of.fury I tried reading Lauren Groff for author a month & couldn‘t get into 2 different of hers, but any of the others I am open to! 1mo
Readergrrl Something‘s going on with the bookmark tab. It‘s not allowing me to add a review page for each novel. Sometimes there are glitches. I‘ll try again in a moment or two. 1mo

Look what arrived today, just in time for March 1 😃
#LMPBC #GroupC

CSeydel Hey so a quick housekeeping question - the previous times I‘ve done LMPBC, we have used post-its rather than writing in the book itself. I don‘t mind either way; I like post-its bc they give me room to write lengthier comments 😆 but they also get in the way of reading sometimes. What do you guys prefer? 14mo
peanutnine I usually write in the margins but I don't mind either way ☺️ 14mo
Johanna414 @CSeydel I‘ve always written in the margins of my books and plan on doing that for mine again. But I have no problem using sticky notes in yours if you‘d prefer - I‘ve got tons! 14mo
BethM I‘ve done both based on the preference of the sender :) 14mo

I couldn't get into it. Maybe it's not the kind of book for me at this time. 😕

#LMPBC #round16 #groupC

This will be going back to it's owner soon.
@smalldogs_bigbooks2419 @Bookwormjillk @suvata

smalldogs_bigbooks2419 I definitely struggled to get through it and only made myself finish it because it was the book I was contributing. @suvata @Bookwormjillk did either of you enjoy it more? 14mo
suvata I‘m the odd-man-out again because I kind of enjoyed it. 😎 14mo
Bookwormjillk @smalldogs_bigbooks2419 I felt like I was missing something since I hadn‘t read the previous book. I couldn‘t really get into it either. 14mo
