This is book #3 in the Vampire's Choice series. Another great installment. I loved that the author continues to build upon this world and we are seeing so much more of the vampire's political and justice system. Already working on book #4 4.5⭐

tokorowilliamwallace @DarkMina, the last two years when I lived in Maryland, my best friend's/roommate's father who owned a private assisted living facility we worked at, he liked making his own roasts for the residents, so there was always incredible food around! Stick around for the crazy county circus fun house/of mirrors of what my reading activity and habits will be---be it here, Instagram, or Goodreads. 55m

I got this book recommendation from a Book Tuber I follow. She said it was a hidden gem, so I decided to use it for my #BOOKED2021 “hidden gem”. It was an interesting story and the audiobook was very good. Three lightkeepers disappeared without a trace. There were 2 timelines: when it happened and 20 years later. You hear the words of the 3 women left behind given to a writer. Solve it? #136 #BookSpinBingo #3 #BFC21 #BOOKED2021 #NovelNovember

@DebinHawaii these are all on my iRL TBR- but I‘m interested in pretty much all the books on your list. I‘m excited- and think I may let #bookspin choose the one I go with! #newyearwhodis

MeganAnn Oohhh if you read Dead Witch Walking, enjoy it, and continue the series there is a short story that happens on winter solstice. It‘s called Two Ghosts for Sister Rachel and is in the tagged anthology. I believe in the author‘s suggested reading order it falls after the fourth book, but it technically takes place years before book one when Rachel is 17ish so it could be read any time. 2w
MeganAnn @DebinHawaii this looks like a fantastic list and I love that this series made it to your favorites! 😍🎉👏🏻 2w
Chrissyreadit @MeganAnn thanks!!!! I have to read this now- and so cool about a story on Winter Solstice- that is perfect to know! 2w

DebinHawaii Yay! 📚🎉 I am happy you are happy with the list! I am ecstatic with yours too as quite a few are on my #TBR & it will give me a push to read them! 2w
DebinHawaii @MeganAnn I am about 1/3 into book #3 so I will look for that one—especially knowing it takes place during Winter Solstice! Thank you for turning me on to the series. 🤗 2w
Amiable “Hood Feminism” is on my list from @Singout , too! 2w

Colours in the Steel | K. J. Parker
post image

Time for some K.J. Parker! I‘ve sat on this one for a looooooong time because I haven‘t been able to find the last book in the trilogy. I almost bought it used once, but I decided to come back the next day with some books to trade. By that time, it was gone. Poop. If I get invested enough in the first two, I guess I‘ll have to buy #3 new.

I ate sausage & barley soup while I started COLOURS IN THE STEEL. It looks like nothing but it‘s delicious.
