#wondrouswednesday

1) I‘ll take the spoiler!
2) I‘ve got several fave authors but I‘d prefer to meet James Rollins, because I think he‘d be fascinating
3) Romance; because I‘d probably be the dead body in the mystery
4) Historical fiction if I could pick the time and place; dropped into sci fi sounds scary
5) Skip the first book—how could we possibly go on with an unanswered cliffhanger?

#WeeklyForecast 30/24

This week I‘ll be preparing for my trip to Japan next week 💃
One of the things I look forward to the most is a Pilgrimage across one of the islands. Lots to read about. And of course I‘m spending a lot of time planning what books to bring. I‘ll share my stack when I think I‘m sure about it!
In the time that‘s left I am reading The Sleepwalkers by Scarlett Thomas and am listening to another Angela Marsons (Kim Stone #3)

AmyG Sounds fabulous. 7d
squirrelbrain I‘m excited for you! 🤪 And wondering what your stack will look like…🤔 7d
Librarybelle That sounds amazing! 7d

#WondrousWednesday

1. Seinfeld
2. Monopoly, Risk, Clue
3. I‘m currently reading Mockingbird Summer (tagged), which features a Black girl playing on an all-White church girls‘ softball team in Texas in 1964.

Thanks for the tag, @Eggs ! Anyone else want to play?

Eggs #3 sounds really good! 1w

This is an update on a post on #tuesdaytunes post a couple of weeks ago, The local member supported radio station has completed their countdown of the top 909 albums. The initial 899 would be represented by 1 song, but the final top 10 they played last week in their entirety. I caught a little bit while at work but I just looked at the site & found the graphic breakdown on their site fascinating: (CONT)

vivastory https://bridge909.org/news/top-909-albums-of-all-time-a-closer-look
I checked to see where the albums that I voted for landed & Ziggy Stardust ended at #3 (!), Pixies Doolittle #33. I did't see Miles Davis Round Bout Midnight, but I did see the fantastic Kind of Blue at #16 & the epic Bitches' Brew. This is in an incredible list. So, for my #tuesdaytunes selection this week, I am going to choose 1 song from a few of the top 10 albums that I love.

vivastory Looking at the albums selected for the final 909, I think that you could give it to someone who is wanting to get into music in a big way. A crowd sourced list, with results on par with a big magazine. @tiedyedude (edited) 2w

Suet624 I have never been a fan of Fleetwood Mac. Shocking, I know. Ziggy, though, I saw in Nashville in the early 70‘s. 2w
BarbaraBB This is so cool. What a list! I scrolled through and it really is fabulous. Only thing are my Chili Peppers… Californication at 676 and even Blood Sugar Sex Magik at 329 🤷🏻‍♀️ But I agree on Prince, Fleetwood Mac and Nirvana in the Top 10. Also glad to see Lauryn Hill there, I am going to see her later this year. 2w
Cathythoughts That‘s a real blast from the past Beatles picture ❤️ 2w
vivastory @Suet624 That is shocking. Landslide is one of my fave songs of all-time. That's so cool you saw Bowie 2w
vivastory @BarbaraBB That's awesome that you're going to be seeing Lauryn Hill! I was pleased to see her ranked high. The Fugees were a favorite in high school 2w
TieDyeDude Nice selections. Fun list. Not a lot of surprises, but I didn't expect Jason Isabel in the top 20 1w
vivastory @TieDyeDude He's a big deal here. I like him, but I have to admit that I don't quite get all of the hype. 1w

Late to post my #Roll100 books for July & all 3 rolls were “anys” so I ended up with:

#34: “Any Bridgerton” (Love the show, haven‘t read the books but ordered the #OnceUponABookClub boxes a few years ago so I put them on my list & I‘m starting with the first book.)🤷🏻‍♀️

#3: “Any BOTM” & as I can‘t seem to get this read without a nudge, it‘s going to be Just For the Summer.

#66: “Any Library Book” & my e-book hold came in for The Art Thief.

4th of July - an American National Holiday & the day England goes to general election. Just an ordinary Thursday in Australia tho!

I‘m not generally a patriotic movie fan - so I scored higher than expected!

1. Geena Davis!! 😍
2. My love of Stallone movies runs deep
3. I went to a National Treasure double feature earlier this year - and had a blast - hard to believe there wasn‘t a 3rd movie!

dabbe #'s 1 and 2: ❤️💙❤️ I have #3 on my TBW list. Thanks for playing and sharing. 🤩🤩🤩 2w
thegirlwiththelibrarybag @dabbe, it‘s like Indiana Jones except modern and the plot revolves around “borrowing” the Declaration of Independence. 2w
dabbe @thegirlwiththelibrarybag I love the set-up already! 🤩😀🤗 2w

July's #roll100 rolls!

Roll 1 = 34
Roll 2 = 3
Roll 3 = 66

I've been away from my dice recently so I've decided to open up submissions and show case other people's pretty dies.

If you want to submit a picture, roll a d100 and d10 and then you can upload the photo to Google Form: https://forms.gle/Mnp48DPHgHpRJeip9

I'll use this alongside my own stuff. So if you have some dice you want to show off, start rolling!

This is late, but these questions are so great that I can‘t pass them up!
1. Goodreads # of books read goal
2. I‘ve been a seat-of-the-pants girl, but I had to rearrange my library this week and was overwhelmed by the number of books I own that I truly want to read and have been planning to read for years! I think it‘s time for me to do something different, like maybe draw titles from a jar? Suggestions welcome!
