@BarkingMadRead This is my cover - not exciting, but quaint. Can‘t wait to get started today! #Pemberlittens #HashtagBrigade

Here‘s my tentative June list! So much Summer Reading fun!! 🎉😎🍉💕📚
These Poor Relations stories are so entertaining! I just love them. I only have one more to go! #51 #BookSpin #6, #BFC23, #SERIESLOVE2023, #MagnificentlyMay, #SayMyName, #SociallyDistancedBookClubAtoZChallenge “C”
I borrowed this book from our local library as one of my Random Picks last month and finished it today. It was entertaining and cute as well as unexpectedly touching. I love Madeline a.k.a. Gwen Hathaway and her bard friend, Arthur. A good summer read! #50 #BookSpin #15, #BFC23, #MagnificentMay, #ReadySetRead, #SayMyName, #ReadtheStates Oklahoma
A great way to start #ARCApril! I finished the Ramona Collection by Beverly Cleary! I loved listening to Stockard Channing narrate the Ramona books. She did a great job. Ramona‘s story is so cute. You never know what she‘s going to do next. LOL #36 #BookSpin #19 (I used one slot for both books) #BFC23 #SERIESLOVE2023 #ARCApril #ReadtheStates Oregon
Had to get this one in for March! A quick audiobook - 3 hours - but so entertaining to me. I have to laugh at the girls in their skirts & blouses and their sweater sets. The story is fun and there are bad guys and twists! #34 #BookSpin 3 BFC23 #SERIESLOVE2023 #MarchMadness #MiddleGradeMarch #ReadySetRead #Buzzword2023 #ReadtheStates
Finished it! I gave it 3.5 stars. Yes, it was different from other cozy mysteries, but not really my cup of tea. Kind of depressing actually. Lovely purple cover though. #33 #BookSpin 2 #BFC23 #MarchMadness #20in4 #ReadySetRead #Foodie2023
Here‘s your book with a purple cover for #PurpleDay #DailyChallenge #MarchMadness. I‘m 70% through the audiobook! #20in4 @Andrew65 @DieAReader @GHABI4ROSES
Here‘s my list for April. For 19 to 25, I am just going to go to our local library and choose a book - any book that looks interesting - off their shelves!! It will be an adventure! 😊💕📚
These are two books I have chosen for #Galaxyathon hosted by @TheBrightSideGirl mostly on You Tube and Instagram, but she is a Litten, too. Heart of Iron is YA and The Lion of Mars is MG.
Just finished Joseph‘s Dilemma by Ervin R. Stutzman, book #2 in the Return to Northkill series. This is the story of Joseph Hochstetler, my 6th great-grand uncle, after his capture by Delaware Indians. He is adopted by a woman who lost her son in a battle and learns many of the Indian ways while still trying to remember things his Amish father taught him. This also gives me a Bingo on my #BookSpinBingo board! #SERIESLOVE2023 #20in4
These are the books I am trying to finish this month - hopefully as part of #20in4. I finished Lovely War yesterday and I had to add another audiobook, so I chose Sir Phillip‘s Folly - I‘m almost done with the Poor Relations series! We have been slowly moving along with Hercule, but it may not get done before March 1. Anyway, I‘m having fun! @Andrew65
Here‘s my #BookSpin list for March. I‘m focusing on Middle Grade next month, but there are books for other challenges there, too. @TheAromaofBooks
I‘m going to continue with Brigid Kemmerer‘s Defend the Dawn, Book #2 in the Defy the Night Series. Apparently Goodreads says there is another one on the way, but this will complete what I have now. Love me some Brigid Kemmerer!! #BacklistReadathon
This is my version of the Book Blanket. I‘m only doing one month at a time because I don‘t think I can stick with it an entire year. This is where I am today. I will add categories/genres if I must. It‘s keeping me reading all my books each day - and it‘s fun! #LitsyCrafters2023
I‘m happy to say I am making progress on these books this weekend - except for Chloe Brown because I haven‘t started that one yet. I‘m 60% through Fish in a Tree, 76% through Tomorrow and…, and on page 111 of The Blue Castle. My daughter and I both had colds so reading Hercule aloud was put on hold until our voices heal, but we will finish it…soon! As soon as I finish one of these, I will start Chloe Brown and make the leap to February! #20in4
I‘m in, of course. I‘m planning to try to finish up Tomorrow and Tomorrow and Tomorrow by Gabrielle Zevin, The Blue Castle by L. M. Montgomery, and Fish in a Tree by Lynda Mullaly Hunt, as well as start Get A Life, Chloe Brown by Talia Hibbert to make the jump to February! Whew! That looks like a lot, but I can do it!
What a wonderful surprise! I never expected 3 books so perfect for me! Thank you so much Soubhi @Soubhiville . I‘m still planning to read either The Game of Silence or The Round House by Louise Erdrich even if it‘s in February, then The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo by Taylor Jenkins Reid. #AuthorAMonth
I finished the two books I planned on reading for this Readathon! Yay! They were The Violin Conspiracy by Brendan Slocumb and The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow. I gave them both 4.5 stars. They were both very good in different ways. I‘m looking forward to the Modern Mrs. Darcy Book Club author chat with Brendan Slocumb this Tuesday. Don‘t forget to read the Author‘s Note at the end of his book!
I‘m starting More Than We Can Tell by Brigid Kemmerer for the #BacklistReadathon as soon as I finish The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow. I promise!
#SeriesLove23 Here are the 19 series that are on my spreadsheet at the moment: The Return to Northkill series, Flowers Can Be Fatal by Clare Revell, the Seven Sisters by Lucinda Riley, Poor Relations by M. C. Beaton, Her Royal Spyness by Rhys Bowen, The Books of Bayern by Shannon Hale, Nancy Drew Mysteries, Ramona by Beverly Cleary, The Logan Family by Mildred D. Taylor, The Hagenheim Fairy Tales by Melanie Dickerson, Letters to the Lost,
This week #JoyousJanuary I am reading The Violin Conspiracy by Brendan Slocumb, The Blue Castle by L. M. Montgomery, and The Ten Thousand Doors of January by Alix E. Harrow. I hope to get at least one of them read. The Violin Conspiracy is a page-turner, for sure! @Andrew65
1. We take our decorations down after the Baptism of our Lord which is the end of our Christmas season - this year that is January 9. 2. I like to read by the fireplace, so snow for me, but rain is soothing, too.
Here‘s my 2022 Reading Bracket resulting in Lessons in Chemistry being my favorite book. It was very hard choosing because I read so many good books this year! #WinterReadathon #BookSpin
Everything starts today!! Happy New Year! What am I doing posting? I should be reading!!! Let‘s go! 😊🎆💕📚🎉🎶
I also started on this one yesterday. I hope I remember what to do next since my daughter won‘t be here when I get out the actual colors. #LitsyCrafters @Catsandbooks
@Catsandbooks This is the picture I was talking about for my Retro craft project for January for #LitsyCrafters .
I loved this story - it could definitely be a Hallmark movie. It‘s clean with lots of fun Christmas activities and heartwarming romance. #119 #BookSpin #BFC2023 #PromptMaze #YuleTideSpirit #WinterCosyBookBingo #WinterReadathon
These are the books I received from my daughters for Christmas! I‘m excited to add them to my TBR. #WinterReadathonDailyChallenge
I did it! I finished my very first oil painting! I‘m inspired to try again. Where shall I go from here? #WinterReadathonDailyChallenge
These photos say #Summer to me! My granddaughter loves the water - my daughter is helping me paint this picture! The top right is the Wishing Tree at the Irish Festival in Dublin, OH a couple of years ago. The bottom right is our hydrangea bush, day lilies and hosta at the corner of our house. #WinterReadathonDailyChallenge
This is my favorite #ChristmasDecoration ! It is from my father‘s Christmas tree when he was a boy 100 years ago. It is one of the first ornaments to go on our tree. #WinterReadathonDailyChallenge
Here‘s a Baking Cookies Day photo! It was actually taken yesterday. Zoey, her Dad and I made M&M cookies at Great-Grandma Seiple‘s house. It was wild & crazy, but what a memory. #WinterReadathonDailyChallenge
Well, it‘s that time again! We‘re coming to the end of 2022, and as sad as that may seem (because WHERE has the year gone?!), it‘s also exciting because that means the start of a new year is just around the corner. And with that brings the 4th annual #Jumpstart2023 Readathon! So get those 2023 reading goals and plans in order and join us with a great big jumpstart into the new year! ❤️
Please share to spread the word. 🥰. I‘m in - are you?
Just finished this one. Oh, what a lovely story - even better than I remembered. It is full of goodness and inspiration. It makes me cherish my own granddaughter even more. Highly recommend #114 #BookSpin #BFC22 #ReadMyRoom #AutumnBingo22 #Gingerathon #WinterCosyBookBingo #PromptMaze #WinterReadathon #WickedWords - Winter #Adventathon
#WinterReadathonDailyChallenge Day 3 - I‘m rereading Heidi by Johanna Spyri and Peter‘s Grandmother is blind. Also, Zoey and I made this beautiful Christmas tree yesterday! She did really well painting inside the painter‘s tape for a 2 1/2-year old. She loves stickers. She also put Star stickers on a plastic mason jar for a candle, but we didn‘t get a picture of that. Happy Saturday! Tonight is our light-up parade!! 🥰🎄🎅🏻📚
December 2nd - National Mutt Day - our pets, Sam (cat) and Roxy (dog) who have since crossed over within 6 months of each other. They had very long lives and brought a lot of joy to us. #WinterReadathonDailyChallenge #WinterReadathon
Enjoyed watching Dolly Parton‘s Mountain Magic Christmas special last night. Lots of inspiring words & music. #WinterReadathon
Finished 2 books yesterday. I decided to read the Simply Christmas devotional starting Nov. 1st so that I could finish on Dec. 1st otherwise I may not have finished. Castles in Their Bones is the first book in a trilogy and I am anxiously awaiting its sequel. It is about a mother using her 3 triplet daughters to gain an empire. There‘s stardust magic and intrigue. Very good! #113 #BookSpin #AlmostAChunkster #BFC22 #WinterReadathon
Our Christmas tree doesn‘t go up until after our daughter‘s birthday which is tomorrow, but this is my favorite tree from last year. I put pictures of our granddaughter and our great-nieces and great-nephews on it as ornaments. I‘m doing it again this year! 🥰🎄💕#WinterReadathonDailyChallenge Day #1
Okay! Here you go @Soscha 😊💕📚Here are your 5 books for December from your #trappedonanisland link. Thank you @aperfectmjk for putting this together! Happy Reading!
Here‘s my #BookSpin for December! @TheAromaofBooks Are you still planning a #PromptMaze for December? The one I did in November was fun. I went through once, then started over again. You are so clever! 🥰🎄📚🎅🏻🎶
I am glad I read this AFTER reading the rest of the “A Good Girl‘s Guide to Murder” series. It makes so much sense. Pip‘s obsession was born here. She‘s so clever. I loved this series! #110 #BookSpin #BFC22 #ReadMyRoom #SERIES2022 #NovelNovember #TBRTarot #PromptMaze #AutumnBingo2022
