Last night while Matt and I were in the jacuzzi (only 82º! 😅), we saw six mourning doves on the wire in our backyard: two were making out; next to them, two were happily sitting side by side, and one was on the far left, all alone. In the middle of us talking about what a life show we were seeing, the lone one flew away. Wish I'd had a camera!

1. My daughter got back on the volleyball court for the first time since her ACL surgery. I am so happy for her. She worked hard to get back. This could really be ALL THE JOYS this week! 😊

1) got some answers from my MRI which aren‘t great, but they‘re answers. I was so afraid they wouldn‘t see anything and tell me to lose weight and drink more water!
2) All the year end stuff - promotion, field hockey, last days
3) cats being good friends during a frankly shitty week
4) summer flowers
5) a bumper crop of peas in the garden this year. Yum!

This novella was written with two very different PVOs. I wasn‘t sure what to expect with this story but know that if Chris writes, it is always interesting and good. A story with the two brothers who are so different was interesting but having another person, a woman involved later in the story was amazing. And the ending, having a twist that I didn‘t see coming was brilliant. Another win for readers and thank you, Chris!

Book 74 of the year.

Not too good. My grandma passed away about a month ago, my grandpa has pneumonia and in hospital and my dad has cancer. I am under a lot of stress. I have had a number of outbursts as a result.
