This was a really cute book! I love Cath and her fandom obsession.

I think the best thing I got out of this was an inspiration to start writing again.

This dark book is full of mystery, intrigue, and backstabbing. Life is a party for the survivors of the Great War - they have all the drugs and sex they want. But some people are disappearing, and returning much different than they were before. What is happening to these citizens? And is another war really on the horizon?

This was a wild ride. Jake/George goes back in time to save a few lives - including that of JFK. But time has a way of restoring the balance and the butterfly effect is very, very real. I loved this book!

This book was very creepy. In some ways, it reminds me of Poe‘s Tell-Tale Heart. Basically, this man recruits his son to help kill his wife over the sale of land. Afterwards, he becomes convinced that she is haunting him. One word, rats 🐀. Creepy, bloody rats.

j9brown I thought the Netflix movie was pretty well done! 4mo

This book is so moving! Cate becomes fascinated by a collection of journals, photos, and newsletters belonging to a home for ruined girls that closed over a century before. While learning the heartbreaking stories of Mattie and Lizzie, two of the wayward women, Cate struggles to come to terms with the pain of her own past. I fell in love with each character.

I learned a few things from this book: 1. Never, ever under any circumstances should you consider sculpting your hedges into animals. 2. If someone tells you not to go into a room, do not go into the room. 3. Some places can refuse to let go.
I‘ve haven‘t read much Stephen King, but he is a master of his craft.

Ashley_Nicoletto Do not go into the room. 🤣🤣 I was waitressing when I read this book years ago. And it was after my shift at like 3 AM and I‘m reading it in bed alone. I get to the part with the bathtub and I just shut the book. Nopppee. I didn‘t pick it back up until daylight. 🤣🤣 7mo

The fact that the hospitals were more worried about covering their own asses really bothers me. It doesn‘t surprise me, but it bothers me.

Wife @kaye Have you read this one? 8mo
Kaye No, this is one I haven‘t read yet. I read one a really long time ago about a nurse who killed their patients. I think that was a lady , and I ? Think? this was a man ? I would believe the hospital would try to cover their own butt and keep it quiet if possible. Sad, but true. 8mo

I watched the film adaptation this weekend (I read the book in March), and now I‘m listening to the audiobook. The film is good as a stand-alone, but very disappointing when compared to the book. It‘s the little details that make me love the book and I didn‘t like how all the keys/gates changed. I‘ve been stuck on the same book for weeks, so I‘m hoping this listen will pull me out of this rut.
