Well, my cat was being a brat and wouldn't let me sleep, but it is a beautiful morning, and I have tasty coffee and a great book to read. Not a bad way to start a Sunday.
I started reading The Stranger Times, and I'm loving the snarky, subtly intelligent humor in it.

The vet visit Smokey had this morning has him tuckered out, but I'm enjoying the cuddles while I read another excellent book in the Wayward Children series.
I'm a little late with this, but here's my #BookSpinBingo board. My #BookSpin and #DoubleSpin are loosey-goosey this month, with a BoTM choice and bundle of comics respectively. And, I finished my first book, A Closed and Common Orbit, yesterday, so I already have my first square filled.

Starting book 2 of Becky Chambers' Wayfarer series tonight, and I got my new comforter today, which I thought would be perfect for a photo op.
I got myself a Paperwhite reader, and it is so much easier to read while eating and such. I've never been much for ebooks because looking at a screen caused eye strain, felt too much like work (I'm an editor), and I didn't seem to retain what I read as well. But I decided to try again (I had a Nook back in the day), and I haven't had any of those troubles with this reader. I'll always be a lover of physical books, but I love this too.
Doing laundry at my parents' today, and I have a reading buddy. Pokey is always so happy when I come to visit.
5⭐ While this book certainly made me think and discusses some difficult and profound topics (and even made me tear up a bit), it was a wonderful escape from the stresses of the world. I described this book when I was first reading it as a warm hug of a book, and that is still how I feel about it. I'm definitely going to have to add it to my personal library, so I can thrust it upon others to hear their thoughts. It is a book worth talking about.
It's a dreary day today, but I have a warm hug of a book to read while I finish my coffee. I'm really enjoying this one so far.
4.75⭐ I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It has some great commentary on how to be an ally and how to stand up for one's self, while also having a fabulous mix of humourous moments, loveable characters, and a sweet love story. I highly recommend it.
We all need a friend like Annie.
Oh my goodness, this mother's reaction to seeing Bebe again is so wholesome!
I finally got a chance to update my reading journal, including making my #BookSpinBingo board. I even got a head start because I read one of my books (The Girl from the Sea) last night! My #BookSpin book is the comic Mamo, and my #DoubleSpin is my book club book, The Wolves of the Calla.

4⭐ Once again, Molly Knox Ostertag has delivered a tale that has left me with a warm, fuzzy feeling. This tale was so sweet and cute, the illustrations are lovely, and Keltie is just adorable. I highly recommend this tale of first love with a magical twist.
I scored what looks like a fun tale from my library's Friends of the Library bookstore.
Such a pretty little display at my library. April showers bring May flowers.
Painted a simple little suncatcher while listening to Aurora Rising. I was on the fence about how I felt about this book at first, but the loveable characters have won me over. I think the narrators' excellent voices have made me enjoy this story more. I started out reading it and it was okay, but the audio is a delight!
Working on another puzzle while I continue listening to The Fellowship of the Ring. This one is going to be much easier than the last. Any Critical Role fans spot Matt Mercer?

Finally finished this puzzle! I've spent many hours listening to books and working on this thing. It has been the hardest puzzle I've ever built. It is actually much bigger than this with all sorts of tree trunks and branches and rocks all the same colors.

Finished a fun and colorful dot-to-dot tonight while listening to The Fellowship of the Ring.

I'm enjoying an old favorite, The Fellowship of the Ring, while listening to the rain outside and in the company of my snuggle buddy, Smokey. That's a pretty good evening in my book.

Finally got a chance to get my #BookSpinBingo board made. My chances of getting a bingo or two this month seem pretty good!
@TheAromaofBooks
I went to the library to pick up a couple books I had on hold for book club and decided to look around while I was there. I might have gotten carried away. 😂📚
Another fun blend this month (which is nice since I'm still working on last month 😂). My #BookSpin is the Marvel Comics: Amazing Fantasy series, and my #DoubleSpin is also my #fairytalereadingchallenge pick, Reflections: A Twisted Tale.

I'm laid up, and Nurse Smokey is helping me get well. Unfortunately, I sat my book on my left side, and now I can't get it because my arm is trapped!

I discovered a zebra while I was listening to my book tonight! I haven't done a dot-to-dot in a long time, but this was a relaxing way to help me focus on my book. I need something not too distracting while listening, but my mind wanders if I don't do something.

3.25⭐ This was a very quick read and overall very enjoyable. I think it is especially enjoyable for those who have had to use Slack professionally, like I have. It fits firmly into the category of absurdity, but it also has some laugh out loud moments and some creepy moments. 👇
I'm reading this odd little book with my coffee ☕ and breakfast 🥓🧁 this morning. I'm enjoying it so far, but being stuck in the Slack app (having used it for many clients) is my nightmare!
Taking advantage of the warmer day to paint my nails and listen to my audiobook outside. I'm so ready for spring!
4.25⭐ This was a great break from the darker stories that have seemed to catch my eye lately. I'm a sucker for puns, wordplay, and amusing footnotes, so this book was made for me. This is only my second Discworld book, and my third Pratchett book, but I definitely want to try more after reading this one.
Starting the day with the next book in The Wheel of Time and a cup of tea in a new favorite mug, and I was amused by how well the colors go together. A dear friend of mine had these made for our old D&D group and presented them to us in character, complete with excerpts from the "book" his character is writing about our adventures. It is one of the coolest gifts I have ever been given. ?
It is honestly infuriating to see book burnings in this day and age. Really? What good do you honestly think you are doing? But...thank you, Joseph Wilkerson, for making me laugh at the end of your article. Well done. Thank you for alleviating the frustration and highlighting the ridiculousness of this line of thought with your excellent reference.

I love this month's #BOTM bookmark. If only I could ignore them today.
4⭐ I finished the 5th book of the Wheel of Time yesterday. This book definitely had more political intrigue and mysteries to discover, and that ending! Definitely going to pick up the next book soon.
I'm trying to do a bit more self-care, so I painted my nails while finishing up The Fires of Heaven. Stormy gray seems to be a fitting color for the angst of this book.
I have a fun balance to my #BookSpin books this month. My #BookSpin is a comic series I've been meaning to finish, and my #DoubleSpin is a chunkster audiobook.

I didn't get a bingo this month, but I got a lot read and did finish my #BookSpin book (tagged).

Have to appreciate a book that lets you know what you are in for right from the dedication. 😂
"They had an ordinary life, full of ordinary things—if love can ever be called that."
4⭐ A great ending to an enjoyable trilogy. Not gonna lie, I was Team Nikolai for much of my reading, but Mal and Alina's love story won me over in the end. This book was a bit slower to get into, but I devoured the last third, and overall, thought it was a good conclusion to the trilogy. I will definitely be reading the other Grishaverse books in the future.
First book haul of the year. I finally got to spend my Christmas gift card/money. Got some long awaited books, a few I'd never heard of, and a reading buddy. (Squishmallows make some of the best book pillows, and much cheaper and cuter than a lot on the market.) And, I managed to only go over by $3!
I'm slowing making my way through Ruin and Rising tonight. It is good, but for some reason, it doesn't hold my attention as much as recent reads. In other news, I think somebody is glad to have me home, and I can honestly say I'm enjoying having a reading buddy.
