Been slowly reading this one at lunch. I‘ve meditated before, but I‘m finding this one to be very squishy rather than a good guide. Anyone read this one? What did you think?

Parts of this book were relevant & parts infuriated me. I‘ve never been a single parent but I did work as a maid. The struggle to make ends meet on minimum wage is relevant. The whining about organic milk is ridiculous. Doing back breaking work for low pay & no benefits is a relevant story. Trying on your clients clothes & snooping through their things is unacceptable. For most of the book she came off as snobby & entitled. Could‘ve been better.

My Uncle‘s mom passed away a little while back & they came across a lot of mystery books - Mary Higgins Clark, James Patterson, etc. - while cleaning out her house & are trying to find a good home for. Are there any Littens in the Denver area who would like them? Or do any Denver Littens know of a good place in the area where they can be donated?

2. The husband & I are going on a sort of honeymoon since we didn‘t get to after the wedding this summer.
3. I don‘t have one, it‘s whatever I‘m on the mood for.

I‘m listening to this & trying to keep an open mind. But, I just got to the part about the organic milk and I thought my head was going to explode. As a Registered Dietitian, who works with SNAP recipients on a regular basis, I work to help patients understand that any vegetable, whether canned, fresh, or frozen, is great & organic is a political decision not a nutritional one. This made me want to scream. Trying to decide if I will finish. 🤯

It feels like fall today. My days of reading and eating lunch out side are numbered 🙁

I‘ve heard good things about this & it‘s my book club‘s pick for October, so I need to get it read. I feel like I‘m struggling to get started with it. I‘m hoping to make a dent in it tonight & tomorrow, maybe I‘ll gain some momentum.

Started listening to this one & I had forgot how much fun these books are. I‘m just giggling down the highway.

Another lovely park for my lunch time reading. Omaha should really play up its parks, they‘re great. Apparently, over that hill is also the birthplace of Gerald Ford. I can‘t wait until the #bookmarkswap tomorrow so maybe I‘ll remember to grab a bookmark for my lunch book. I‘ve had to resort to dog-earing the pages!

The park I was at for lunch was very water fowl heavy. The Canadian geese tend to freak me out, those suckers can be mean.

The husband is at work all day and I have nothing to do today but laundry, cooking, & reading. It‘s also rainy & cloudy outside making it the perfect kind of lazy day. Starting this one, maybe I‘ll even finish it. 🤓

Another quiet spot to read & have lunch. I‘ve been reading a lot of books lately about ADHD. Fascinating & informative.

My step kids went to a Harry Potter themed camp this week and got excited about the series. So I‘m introducing them to the all of the Harry Potter movies. They‘ve only seen the first three. We‘ve decided to do a movie marathon of all seven over the next few days. So excited to start them on this, hopefully I can convince them to read the books next!

Anyone use a bullet journal? What do you think? I‘ve always had a paper planner but I‘m thinking of trying this. I‘ve dismissed this in the past because it always looked too fancy & complicated and know that will stop me from using it.

Barnes & Noble has some great coffee mugs... but I managed to resist! That may not last long! 🤓☕️

I somehow have about a half an hour to sit down & everyone is watching tv in other rooms. I shall enjoy this.

Starting a new lunch book today. This may also be the only day I get to sit outside for lunch before the heat & humidity overtake Omaha this week.

1. I managed to get me & the kids out the door on time every day this week.
2. Not sure, I feel I should do some more in person research on the subject.

I‘m looking for recommendations please! I found out recently - as an almost 38 year old adult - that I have ADHD. (I feel this explains my distracted squirrel moments in life.) Does anyone have any good book recommendations on the subject? My therapist recommended one on mindfulness that I plan on reading, but I was hoping to find some others as well. Thank you!

Between getting married last weekend & the 4th of July, I haven‘t had much time for Litsy. Thought since I finally have a few minutes I‘d share some photos. The weather‘s been nice so far this summer and I‘m loving my lunches outside. With my book of course!

The kids are asleep. The almost husband is at work. The house is quiet and there‘s the sound of rain outside. Now I get to settle into bed with this lovely book. Maybe I can keep my eyes open long enough to finish. I‘m really loving the writing in this, just gorgeous.

I hate the waiting! It‘s like Christmas morning every quarter. #mytbr

Spent so much time at the airport this weekend I finished my book. Good thing I brought a spare. 😉

I was going to enjoy my lunch with this book by this lovely lake on this gorgeous day until I discovered I forgot to pack silverware. So I had to head to the office to find some utensils. No lovely lunch by the lake today but I did get to read this book.
