Andre has been given a fresh start with a new liver, except the boy who donated the organ also passed along his ability to time travel. Now Andre spends his time either in the past with 1970s Michael or the present with his donor's brother Blake. Each boy causes him to look at himself and his life in a new light.
I was hesitant going into this because I dislike love triangles, but this was a fantastic book about grief and hope and identity.

This had the most frustrating characters ever and I was constantly screaming at the audiobook for their stupidity 😅🤦🏼‍♀️
Despite the unlikeable characters, I was invested in the story. I thought the framing of Gilbert's letter and Helen's diary entries was interesting.
I'm glad to have read this along with the #Pemberlittens - I think more than one chapter a day would have been too frustrating lol @BarkingMadRun

Okay this was cute. Honestly I never cared for Sleepless in Seattle of all the 90s romcoms but this was a sweet retelling. Suuuper slow burn obviously but I liked how the characters had time to find themselves a bit before they actually met. I enjoyed all the serendipitous moments and the way it leaned into/poked fun at some of the tropes

This was such a sweet and heartwarming graphic novel. It follows Frances and Sebastian's friendship as a talented dressmaker and a prince with a secret - he loves to wear dresses. The story was adorable and the art was gorgeous, with amazing fashion and the Parisian setting 💃🏼

Obama became president while I was still in highschool and my political awareness was just beginning. It was interesting to hear about the intricacies of the presidency from his perspective and all of his struggles to make progress against the partisanship within the government. His is a very detailed recollection of major and minor events, acknowledging all the support from his staff and others to bring about change. Throughout everything ⤵️

This was my bookclub's pick for the month and we all loved it! It was an engaging read with a lot to unpack. It flashes back and forth between Kya's life growing up alone in the marsh and later when a man is found dead and everyone thinks 'the Marsh Girl' is responsible. The descriptions of nature and wildlife throughout were so detailed and captivating, the setting really brought the story even more life

This is the third Moose Springs Alaska book and honestly I think it's my favorite of the series. We get Easton's story as he falls for an actress/director who is trying to film a documentary of the town. That obviously doesn't go so well so he guides her crew on a climb of Mt. Veil. The characters and romance felt realistic, plus there was some good mountain climbing adventure and high stakes.

Another quick novella. This one is about a trans man who gets a job as an intern for a political campaign. He doesn't feel totally accepted and thinks he should just stick to working in fast food. Then his grumpy boss starts supporting and encouraging him. Feelings are caught, but his boss has it bad for a straight guy.
This had a lot of good discussion about supporting trans people in a workplace without making them feel uncomfortable.

Short story collections are so hard to review because some were great but others were just meh. Each story was about two people who had a unique experience meeting each other. I liked how you don't know if the relationship lasts, just that sometimes meeting someone can change your life.
I might have liked this in print better. The audiobook was read by a couple different narrators and some were better than others.
