This is my third book in my personal quest to read all of the books about the Democratic Nominees. In doing this project it is noticable that each candidate, Cory Included that they eaxh have a niche, an area that they are passionate about and have made great strides to make better.

For Cory Booker, his niches from this book seem to be focused on housing, criminal justice reform and enviormental improvments and combating food deserts.

I live in CO and this book felt a little too close to.home with regards to what could happen in CO in say 10 years...

The ending felt a bit flat, rushed and left me without a clear ending. But overall the book was well done. The research around water rights both junior and senior waa well done. It was clear the author did a considerabke amount of work to ensure that this book was as close to the truth as possible

I won't be able to do this book justice. But it is an important read to anyone who is looking to remove white supremacy from their behavior and their thoughts.

This book tells the story of the birth of Black Lives Matter and the background of the two founders and their lives and how the events that were happening at the time and how it brought about Black Lives Matter and what the organization overall is working towards.

This story was wild, a real look at what life could be if the United States ever goes to war with its self for a second time.

Brilliant in its delievery and execution, this story follows ine famiit as it endures a war, ir was never mean to be in. From living in a refugee camp, to being recruited to fight in the war as a young teen to revenge. This story gives a close up look at what desolation looks like up close and personal

I just finished this book today and oh my, what a ride. The story can be broken uo into 3 parts. The murders committed by the Rev and how they happen and why. Part two is the lawyer who defends the Rev and his eventual killer and his backstory and lastly, Harper Lee her life and how she came to want to write the story of the Rev but never finished.

Amazing, Eye-opening story such a fun read.

I think thia book is a good mirror to reflect upon what our world will be like when climate change in no longer stoppable. Wheb our efforts are meaningless and we must find a new way to live. It was a social commentary on how in times of crisis we sheild ourselfes off from.helping others and create this us Vs them mentality.

The ending was of survival and while it wasnt a happy ending it was an ending of relief.

I listened to this on audiobook and i was amazed and blown away by how inspiring this story is. The intergration of African Language and Music made the story beautifully rich and deep.

This story gives hope that the fight against white supremacist culture can be won and it can be dismantled to ensure that POC have equal access to the same resources and rights and oppurtunities as everyone else.

I have a couple of questions about litsy that have nothing to do with the book i am curently reading.

1.) Why am I limited to 451 characters in Reviews. I understand the limitation in blurbs and quotes. But reviews?!! I need more words to really capture what i thought of the book.

2.) Do i always have to tag a book in order to post a blurb? Can i use a hashtag?

This book was inspiring. Since i started this goal of reading all of the books of the deomcrats that are seeking the nomination, (of which this is book 2 of... I dont know how many) this book spoke to the understanding of hiw bad economic policy since the years of Regan has underminded the middle class.

Elizabeth Warren is intelligent and has a clear understanding of what economic policies should be implemented.

This story was beautiful, well throughout amoung the generations of the two families and their interlinked fates.

The author writes a beautiful and haunting tale of family, power, betrayal and heartache. The story is woven like multiple strings ans is braided together at the end of story in such a beautiful way.

This story doesnt have a happy ending, but rather a real one about life understanding the ways in which our actions are interwoven.

This book was amazing, hard at times to listen to as the author describes the violence her older brother puts her through.

It is amazing to me her story of triumph over adversity and an unhealthy upbringing. I felt such a personal understanding with the author because I also in some ways had an unhealthy childhood. While nothing to the level of what the author goes through, I gained insight and hope from her story.

WhatWouldJaneDo I felt very similarly! She is about the same age as me and while we have had very different lives I recognized some of the internal patterns she had to break in myself. I think it's a sign of a great author to take such a specific story and make it so resonant! 1mo

So typically I read two books at a time. One audio book on Scribd and a physical book. This is my second book and I am listening to this on Audio and it is such a rollercoaster of emotions for me. With regards to what this story brings to mind for me. In chapter 16 when she goes to college I had flashbacks to all the stupid things I did in college and felt emense empathy for the author.
