What a haunting and profound book about the women who fought in ghettos during the Holocaust. Amazing feats of strength bravery and wit's allowed women to fight back against the Nazis. What an amazing story. Excellent. Loved the narrator for the audiobook. 5 ⭐

Looking forward to reading Children of Time. Planning to read a.150 pages a week. (It's a 600 page book) so this way it's easy to ensure completion.

I also have an #LMPBC book I need to fit in here.

The illustration of this graphic novel are superb. I love that each scene has a different color pallet to make it distinguished between each other. Great story, there is a HUGE plot twist in the graphic novel that's as left out of the movie. Wild.

What a beautiful, haunting history that has to be taught. Inspiring in its context and understanding of how women led slave revolts on ships and in the United States. A painful but important history lesson that must be taught. #NFN21 #NFN #NonFictNovember

Would anyone be interested in a graphic novel swap sometime in May? I am not saying I'll do it for sure just gauging interest for now... does anyone know if someone already hosts a GN swap? I'd love to join if there is something already setup.

Graphic novels tend to be a little more expensive then regular books so I think I'd limit it to one or two GN and one or two gifts.

wanderinglynn I thought I remembered one from some time ago but I can‘t think of who hosted it. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Maybe @LibrarianRyan or @Chrissyreadit remembers. 2w
Chrissyreadit I think @LibrarianRyan hosted one? I would be interested- but it turns out I‘m super picky about GN‘s. 2w
LibrarianRyan @Chrissyreadit @wanderinglynn yes there was one years ago. It was manga/GN. And very few people. It‘s has always seemed to work well as #LMPbC but as Chrissy said some people are very picky because pictures can be more triggering than words. Plus as you mentioned the price. I‘d do it if someone hosted 2w
rsteve388 Hmm that's good to know, well if I can find a second and we can build this together then I may be willing to do it. But I need a second person cause doing matches are hard.... 2w

MadelineMcCrae I just got my copy too! It‘s one of my favorite webtoons and it looks absolutely gorgeous on my shelf🥰 @Alfrazier21 I think it‘s worth reading the webtoon, since volume one only has about 20 panels and a bonus chapter, but it‘s not completely necessary 2w

I enjoyed this read around civil rights law and how it needs to engage with differences and personality to ensure that people have their rights met in this new world we occupy.
