pickI enjoyed this book even though almost all of the characters annoyed me at certain points! The two main characters decide to fake date & deal with family issues & work problems. There‘s one plot thread that wasn‘t resolved at the end but maybe it was in a future book. The cover is pretty but the book is set an hour away from where I live; as you can see from our forecast— it doesn‘t really snow here at Christmas! This was my #DoubleSpin

pickThe Cure for Women is a well-written, well researched book. Jacobi fought for women to be able to get a medical degree from schools in the U.S. In the 1800s, women weren't allowed to attend many universities in the U.S. that men could attend. In fact, women ended up going to Europe to receive their degrees.

pick⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This book has been on my shelf since basically the minute I finished Williams‘ Seven Days in June, so I hadn‘t read a summary of it in a long time, and that was actually a really fun way to go into it.
There‘s romance, Black history, Harlem Renaissance, and some magical realism thrown in to make it extra special. I listened to this one except the very end and I thought the two readers did a great job.
Tia Williams is a must read for me.
