April wrap-up
@TheAromaofBooks Finished both my April spins: The Guest (#BookSpin) and A Boy and His Dog at the End of the World (#DoubleSpin).

pickI can‘t remember where I found this book, but I enjoyed it way more than I expected. This was written at a time when stereotypes weren‘t kind, but liked the story between the two main characters. The mullet on the cover kills me though! 😂 😂

Perfect vacation read, except for the part that this is a virus gone wild mystery. Now I want to hibernate and avoid crowded spaces. Like work.
Seriously though, this was another solid Lucas Davenport novel and I loved seeing how Lucas and his daughter Letty interacted as professionals.
This fulfills my #DoubleSpin for #Bingo and it's a #SeriesLove2024.
pickI actually finished it! It took a year & a half of reading on & off & several false starts before that, but while I couldn‘t get it to sustain my attention consistently, I really loved this when I was actually reading it! The French history plot line went over my head & I can‘t seem to follow battle scenes, but I loved how suffused this was with progressive philosophy, raw emotion, & beautiful writing. I‘d totally make this a🏝️📖pick. #doublespin
