Henry Hamlet's Heart | Rhiannon Wilde

It has been a long time since a book has kept me up past my bedtime, but this YA romance did it.
I adore Henry and his fun family, and though I thought Len a bit of an ass all the way through I also felt it was realistic.
The pacing on this was great and the side characters added to the story and the vibe. I do wish the third act was a bit more flushed out. There were words that should have been said.
4.25/5⭐

For several years I wanted too visit EH where her Nantucket series began. But when older books are not on my physical shelves it‘s hard to pull them from my TBR. I was thrilled when my June #DoubleSpin challenged me with category: Ebook TBR. Some of this 2000 contemporary writing doesn‘t quite work as contemporary fiction 25 years later, but still it was a fun to read the book where the Nantucket series began.

This was such a fun YA fantasy!

First off, the world building was fantastic. It was simple to understand their world and how it related to our world. Everything was explained gradually which made grasping the world easy to digest. Sometimes fantasy novels can do a lot of info-dumping, but this book did not.

This book left me feeling lukewarm. I read as an audiobook and by half in, I was listening with one ear. I didn't care for either of the characters and had to force myself to finish. 2.5 ⭐️ A lot of people raved about this book and the whole series. I don't know if I will read book 2. Are the other books better? #SeriesLove2025 @Andrew65 #Read2025 @DieAReader

The comparisons are spot on, and scary - and this was written during his first term. May we be like the ordinary people in Coriolanus. Not the appeasers of Richard III. #doublespin @TheAromaofBooks

I have started the tagged. So far it is great, recommend for people who find Hollywood and Joan Didion fascinating. Lots of famous cameos but the root of the story is the Dunne family of 5.

Well of Loneliness is chunky I need to get cracking on
I grabbed The Pairing on audio for my daily walks
Thunder Song needs to go back to the library next weekend
Henry Hamlet's Heart looks like a quick read and is my #doublespin
