My grandmother. My happiest moments during my childhood were with her, she sang me songs, played with me and knew my tastes. As an adult, waited me with my favorite food and a cup of coffee. Always helping others specially if someone needed assistance while hospitalized. Always offering food, it was almost an offense if you didn‘t eat her food😄well dressed with painted nails, hair done. Loved her so much❤️

“In Remembrance “
Sorry, I am late. Thanks for tag @MoonWitch94 .
My Granny was 89 when she passed 2 years ago. She was spunky to the end. This woman was non- stop everyday. She could crochet, knit, sew, canning, bake, cook. She never met a stranger and was always up on whats going around the neighborhood. She loved to play games. She loved BINGO!!

Yesterday was All Souls‘ Day, a time to remember those who have died—so this #ThoughtfulThursday is a lovely opportunity to extend that remembrance. I‘m remembering my mom, who passed away in April. This picture is from her 85th birthday in March—a little over two weeks after this celebration, she was placed on hospice. My mother taught me to read when I was 3 years old—it‘s thanks to her that I‘ve been reading longer than I can remember. ⤵️

My dad passed away 28 years ago on October 28th & I miss him EVERY day.💔He gave me my love of reading from before I could read myself to helping me learn by sharing favorite children‘s books to my fondness for historical fiction especially WWII era. About the only genre he loved but wasn‘t successful getting me to love was westerns. He was a movie buff too & we watched many a classic together. 💙💚💙

#ThoughtfulThursday In Remembrance…

I met Martha when she was 98 and befriended her when she was 100. We had a love of books and animals in common and became fast friends. I would visit her as she lived alone with her cat, Honey, and I would take her food shopping and to Dollar Tree. She taught me about history, about surviving what life brings, and about joy. She died March of 2021 at the age of 108 1/2!

It has been 25 years since I lost my Dad. Yet it seems like yesterday some times. He gave me and my son our love of reading. He read my favorite books so often to me as a young child I had a couple memorized. He took me, then later my son to the library every week. God I miss those trips. Remember to hold your loved ones close. Life is very short and they leave us much too soon.

#thoughtfulthursday. This is my brother Robert who suddenly passed away in August. Three months later I still miss him. He was my best friend and wise advice giver. Smart and funny and knew everything there was to know about music. We loved to discuss everything especially politics.

#ThoughtfulThursday is dedicated to my best friend‘s mom. We lost her 7 years ago after a lengthy battle with terminal cancer. She and her husband took me in after college and welcomed me into their family, and she became like a mother to me. I miss her terribly, and she still shows up in my dreams all the time. ❤️❤️

At 17 I lost my Dad to cancer, very shocking. Since then I‘ve lost numerous aunts/uncles, my only grandparent, my Mom, mom in law, 2 sisters and my only brother, niece, and nephew 2 wks ago in motorcycle accident. But the toughest one was losing my husband/the girls‘ dad. Pic⬆️ of us in our 30s at a friend‘s wedding. A lifetime of memories…loss is never easy no matter how old you or they are
