I can‘t believe I‘m done ahead of time for once! I‘m leaving for a cruise on Saturday so I got it done early! Here‘s most of my #bookspinbingo I left three spaces for #roll100 @TheAromaofBooks

This was good, especially on #audio since the NPR journalist narrates it himself. I liked the juxtaposition of Jackson‘s history alongside the story of Cherokee leader John Ross‘ as well but just so infuriating. Jackson remains the worst president ever in my opinion. #Roll100 #BookspinBingo @PuddleJumper @TheAromaofBooks
A soft pick for this #roll100 read (I was really torn between pick & so-so) - I was really into it at first, very reminiscent of NOS4R2 / IT / Stranger Things - but I felt like the author was pushing his agenda a bit too much and also really needed a better edit as there was far too much repetition.
Another book cleared off my digital shelves. It reminded me of Jessica Redland books but I would rate her writing higher. Fun characters and storylines.

Was that some kind of bookish gaydar? I only picked this book because I needed it for a challenge and the cover spoke to me. I went into it, thinking it would be some kind of coming-of-age story. Which it is. Including the MC suddenly kissing the other girl in the story. I did not expect that. Neither did I expect it to be set in the 80ies. What a lovely surprise of a book!

Way too scary given currently conditions. A journalist experiences the buildup to war in Hitler's Berlin.

One of my July #Roll100 picks (# 66 “Any Library Book) I finished it last week & found myself totally captivated by the story of Stéphane Breitwieser, a prolific art thief who along with his girlfriend stole more than $2 billion worth of art from museums throughout Europe, keeping them in his attic bedroom. There are times I rooted for the thief but as his collection grew, his hubris began to annoy me. A fascinating true crime read.?️
Oh Fitz you make so many mistakes, but I loved his journey with the Fool wrapping up The Tawny Man trilogy. For those unaware, Robin Hobb is a major undertaking and you don‘t start here. This series is worth it though, beautiful writing, an amazing world and fantastic characters. 5⭐️ Next up the Rain Wilds-but probably next year. 😎
First #bookspinbingo! #Roll100 pick done
A very quiet, enjoyable characters book.
One of my #Roll100 books for this month. I really enjoyed this, at times convoluted, story. It‘s been a while since I read any Kate Atkinson and I‘d forgotten how she loves to write layered plots which elegantly resolve at the end. This novel is set in 1920s London and focuses on crime matriarch Nellie Coker and the cops AND robbers who are both trying to bring her club empire down. Very entertaining and character-rich.
