Went with types of books rather than titles and this is February's #BookspinBingo selections.

My current read is a library book-perfect for #BookSpin.

Kindle read will probably be the romance I've been poking at since the first of January. #DoubleSpin

My anxiety has been high and it's messing with my reading. After picking up and putting down two books in two weeks, I finally found something that I'm enjoying.

So, this is an easy-peasy loosey-goosey #BookSpin list for February. Here's hoping that my mental health settles down and I can get some quality reading time in!

I was working on “Black House“ last week but was finding it was slow going for me. It's due with holds on it at the library and I'm okay with getting it again in a couple of months.

So, I'll start “Daisy Jones“ at lunch today and then once that's done I'll do my January #TBRDeckOfCards read.

Here's to a great week of reading!

It's #TBRDeckOfCards time!

Yes, I'm using my SPN cards for this project :)

I drew the Queen of Hearts and the corresponding genre is Sci-Fi, specifically cyberpunk.

I've decided on “Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?“ for my title.

What are you going to read, @bklover?

Bklover Good question. I wouldn‘t know a good cyberpunk book if it bit me! 2w

Well this is an interesting #Roll100 for February.

I really want to read “Bury My Heart at Wounded Knee“ but I think February's pick is going to be “From Where You Dream.“

One of my goals for 2023 is to write more and “Dream“ seems to be a good nudge in that direction.

I can't put my finger on why exactly this isn't working for me at the moment. It may simply be wrong book at this time.

This hits several of my interests-modern day Native American story set in Oklahoma. However, the beginning isn't capturing my attention and life is short.

Back to the library this goes and I'm picking up the next book!

I just didn't get to this in December so book 2 for 2023 was this adrenaline ride.

Love Court/Gray Man and this one was a solid entry into the series. Definitely start at the beginning as these build on each other. Recommended for fans of Jason Bourne, Jack Ryan, and similar characters.

My current read totally counts as a series read (book 4 in the Gray Man series).

Black House is for #Booked2023 as part of a trilogy.

I feel really excited for these two selections and am sure I'll start the year with both of my bingo reads, read.

I didn't write much in 2022 so I wanted to start 2023 with a reminder to make art.

Here's to making art and writing through 2023!

Here's my reading goals for 2023.

If I read all 24 of #Bookspin #Bingo, I'll have read 72 books.

The 60 books does not include series I keep up with and their new releases. Plus, there's a couple of older series I've been reading so it could easily be 70+ for the year.

However, my goal is 60 books this years and I feel that's very doable.

I'm going to participate in #Booked2023 and #Roll100 along with #TBRDeckofCards and Bookspin Bingo.

I am in for #Roll100 2023!

My list here is a little wonky in the numbering but there are 100 titles I want to read that's on my shelves.

I usually read 1 title out of 3 so I'm shooting for 12 total this year-small peanuts but that's at least 12 less books that I'll own!

One of the 2023 reading challenges I'm going to do is #TBRDeckOfCards!

I've come up with 52 subgenres that I haven't read. Then when I draw a card at the end of the month, I'll have a new to me subgenre to read!

For January, I drew gothic romance and decided on “Down Comes the Night.“ Now, technically this is YA gothic romance fantasy but it looks good!

#TBRDeckOfCards was popular in 2022, do I need to tag someone? TIA!

Bklover Me me me! 1mo

This was just as good as I remember and I can't wait to have more adventures in Narnia!

I've placed the 2010 movie on my queue at Disney+ and looking forward to that this weekend.

I've also placed the next book in the series (by publication date) on hold. That will come in before the first of the year but won't be read until 2023.

This was a solid start to a mystery series set in Alaska.

I really enjoyed the main character, Beth, and the trauma she's overcoming.

This was more straight-forward mystery and not much thriller. Not that that's a problem-it was nice reading a quiet mystery.

Definitely recommend if you like this genre.

It was a good week, last week. I read the two kids books on Sunday so I could get them back to the library. “A Blizzard of Polar Bears“ was finished and in time for the next one is the series to be coming my way via the library.

“Thin Ice“ is halfway read and entertaining. I've already get book 2 c/out.

“The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe“ was read 20+ years ago and I've felt the itch to delve into Narnia again.

Well, #NovelNovember didn't go quite as planned. I DNF'd two books, not shown, and read two kids books. I finished“Righteous Prey“ last week.

I am reading a Harlequin romance-no idea what has gotten into me to pick this up but I am enjoying it. Definitely outside of my typical reading!

Up next (hopefully) this week is “A Blizzard of Polar Bears.“ I've read almost half before it had to go back earlier in the year so I'm hoping to finish this.

About 60% done with “Righteous Prey“ and should have that done by or on Thanksgiving.

Well, 2022 can be summed up with Grateful Dead lyrics!

I went several months without reading this year & I'm behind on most of my reading challenges. For #Booked2022 I would need to read 10 books to finish out-there's 6 weeks and I read one book a week. I'm also behind on Bingo and #Roll100.

Yesterday, I decided enough was enough.

For the next 6 weeks, I'm reading what I want to read. Mostly mysteries and Christmas as we enter the holidays.

A solid but ultimately forgettable entry into this series. I'm really enjoy Lucas Page's mind and will follow up with the next entry.

I will say, I kept thinking to myself that I had seen this premise on a TV show at one time. I still don't know what TV show but it was similar up to the end of the book to that TV episode.

So here's December's #Roll100. I shoot for one book a month out of the three picks...December's read will be the Judy Blume book.

I did read “Are You There“ when I was a kid but somehow ended up with a physical copy. It'll be nice to get it read and sent to the used bookstore.

“Brave New World“ is too heavy for end of the year. Dec. is for fluffy reads.

“Huckleberry Finn“ needs to be read after “Tom Sawyer“ as it's a sequel.

Interesting #Roll100 selection...two Revolutionary War/Era books and a book about creativity with monastic wisdom.

Not a bad week of reading.

#DeweyOct was a bit of bust for me. Between work and a family visit in the evening I didn't get much read.

I read “Children of the Corn“ for #Booked2022.

“American Cozy“ was not for me and was sent back to the library.

I've already reviewed “Hell House“-that was my read during the week.

The only book I didn't get to was the Bradbury. Maybe I'll get that read this week.
