Love love love love. Times one thousand. I can‘t wait until the third book comes out in February. I can still get a little lost with all the different names, but it‘s such an amazing story that it just doesn‘t matter! I can‘t recommend this series enough!

#unpopularopinion and I think it was because I tried the audiobook first. The narrator made Sunny so whiny (which I think she might be but not to the extent the narrator made her out to be.) Also, the audiobook doesn‘t tell you that at the end of the chapters, you‘re reading excerpts from another book in this world. I felt confused and when I received the ebook, I only made it about halfway through before bailing.

Laughterhp I definitely struggled while reading this book. I had to keep reminding myself it was middle grade. 1w

I am thankful to my new book club for opening me up to a masterpiece. I haven‘t read anything by the author before, but he has such a way of words that it was so hard not to feel like you were in the story. There were some hard parts to read, but I felt the ending fit the book. It also satisfies the last prompt for #booked2019 for me #pocmcparanormal. Hiram has a power that is core to the book, but it‘s not understood until almost the end.

Scochrane26 I haven‘t read this one yet but have read 2 nonfiction books by him. They blew my mind & educated me about race. He also wrote the new black panther comics. 2w

Finished book four of my re-read. It took me so long, I‘ve managed to lose the dust cover. It‘s still an amazing book. So full of details and life. My hope is to have book five read before the end of the year in preparation of season five of the show coming out in February. In my original read of the series, I only made it through book six, so here‘s to a few more re-reads then on to new to me ones!

Not my best week, but I still feel pretty good about it. I‘m on call this week, so that always makes it so much harder to turn electronics off, meal prep and exercise without getting interrupted. I did up my goal to six books, which is blowing my mind a bit. I‘ve always been a reader, but this year I‘ve really surprised myself. Another great one by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I think she may now be one of my favorites. I loved the format of this book. The interview style wasn‘t something I‘ve read before and it was perfect. I didn‘t grow up in the 70s, but my parents are avid fans of classic rock n roll, so, therefore, I am too. This is listed as a romance, but I feel like it‘s much more than that. This book is much more emotional than I usually read. It‘s a #soldiersstory, plus has a character that has muscular dystrophy and one that is being abused. I liked the way the story began before the solider went to war, spent a little time with him during the war and then mostly focused on the aftermath and dealing with tragedy. #booked2019
