Look, I know this book is popular, but is it just the most boring book ever? I have tried reading it in book format and I‘m 35% into the audiobook and I really just don‘t care what happens. I don‘t know if part of is that I have two blind sons and so that part is just lost on me or if I need to give it more time… It‘s been years since it came out, everyone has read it and I can‘t do it!

kspenmoll I bailed on it! Just did not grab me. 2w

Ok, I know you all are finishing books in two days all the time, but I don‘t. I‘m a slow reader and a busy mom, I spend too much time on the internet to read books fast. But this book - I couldn‘t put it down. I liked it, a lot. The characters, the pain, the loss and uncertainty, it drew me in and I had to know how it turned out.

EvieBee Sold! I‘m a slow reader too, so I gotchu. 😉 2mo

Victoria_Clyne I'm a busy Mum/slow reader too. And I'm contemplating making myself even busier this year, missing time to read is one of things I'll miss. 2w

My November is looking amazing! My spin is A Million Things and it‘s sucked me in this morning. My double spin is The Lincoln Highway which I won‘t let myself purchase until I finish this first one. It‘s coffee and books for me this month!

This one was just alright. It was good enough to finish, but it was just so over the top. It‘s one of those you couldn‘t recommend to a friend without a little bit of embarrassment or at least a word of warning that it leans toward the sensational.

The Reading List: A Novel | Sara Nisha Adams

Pickpick

This was a fun book, it‘s heartwarming and simple. There were some parts that were written extremely well, the stress and emotion of the characters could be felt, were plausible and relatable.

I think I felt like a lot of people have, it‘s not too deep and the end wraps up all too easily (kinda goofy). Still, it was a fun and gentle story and what I needed right now.

Snuck in some before school drop offs reading. I‘m loving this book already. It includes a library, a book list, a woman who loved to read drawing her loved ones into her world. I‘m all in.

I‘ve recently discovered that I enjoy reading hardback novels… 🤦🏽‍♀️ Don‘t tell the paperwhite I just bought

EvieBee I just realized the same thing! There‘s something about hardcovers. 3mo

I‘m enjoying this one a lot, but I‘m kind of wondering why because it‘s actually moving fairly slowly. I like some of the characters and I‘m wishing them well, I think that‘s why I‘m still here if though a lot of this feel mundane.

Help! I‘m going on a trip (leaving my 10 kids at home!) and I would like a fun easy read in the sort of feel of The Storied Life of AJ or Anxious People/A Man called Ove or Eleanor Oliphant, you know, a witty, kinda odd, fun whimsical book. Any suggestions, Litsy friends?

Feeling off, realizing a lots been going on the last few weeks. I‘m thankful to have all 10 kids home for Christmas, even though with my parents & siblings it was outdoors & very different. We had to rehome our pup this week & the big kids took off on a New Year‘s Eve hiking trip. Times are changing... On the bright side, my greenhouse arrived today & I‘ve written my Bookspin list so I‘m getting the house in order & enjoying the passing of 2020!
