For those Amazon Prime folks, I am having a very hard time selecting my free book for June. Has anyone else made their choice??

I generally enjoy Diane Chamberlain‘s books, and this is an older one. Interesting characters, and an intriguing story. 🌟🌟🌟➕
I read this in one sitting. This was riveting! It was like watching a disaster movie(my favorite kind of movie) happen. The tension was crazy- I loved it! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Updated my #2023ReadingBracket. Wasn‘t too excited about May. Remarkably Bright Creatures is still hanging in there.
1. Romeo and Juliet, around 1599 (before Julius Caesar, which was the other one I checked.
2. I think three. Can‘t be too many or I forget parts.
3. Harry Potter. The Eloise books.
It‘s still Wednesday, so if you haven‘t played, play!
Thanks again @dabbe for the tag😊❤️❤️
#wondrouswednesday
I have no idea whether I liked this or not. I think I liked it, but there were parts that were choppy and seemed oddly inserted into the story. I just don‘t know. Maybe in a few days I‘ll figure it out. 🤷♀️
Oh, how I loved the second half of this book! Don‘t want to say much as we are discussing it June 3rd, but I loved it. Read library version and I‘m going to have to get a copy to keep. ❤️
#CampLitsy
This was a pick, but just barely. I found the main character annoying, (mainly due to the social norms of the time) particularly early in the book. Enjoyed the mystery aspect. On the other hand, I did get through this one- I‘ve had a few bails this month 🤷♀️ Read this for #tbrtarot @CBee
If you ever have a bad day and just want to read something relaxing and comforting, this is for you. I loved it!📚🐙
Palate cleanser. Meh. Not my favorite but I‘m not target audience. 🤷♀️
I learn so much from Erik Larson! He makes everything so fascinating that you can‘t wait to see what happens, even though you already know what happens! Devil in the White City is still my favorite, but this was excellent! Read this for #authoramonth #aam
This arrived in the mail today from ThriftBooks, and yep, I ordered it myself. I just can‘t remember WHY I ordered it. Checked Litsy posts and cannot figure out why on earth I bought a book with 1176 pages. I remember this book from the early 80‘s, but have never read it. I‘m losing my marbles. 🤨🧐
Happy Wednesday!
1. The Lusitania, ocean. 🌊🚢
2. Somewhere cold, lots of snow, big hotel. ❄️❄️❄️
3. Will always be Hogwarts. Or maybe England. 😊😉
#Wondrouswednesday
Thank you for the tag @Eggs ! Hope you have a wonderful day❤️❤️
#titlesandtunes #islandvibes. Well, let‘s just say that the song definitely was better than the book. It‘s not a bad book, and I probably didn‘t choose wisely as this is a YA thriller that reads like you‘re watching a movie. Again, not bad, just not for me. I think I‘d have probably loved it when I was 15!
#islandvibes #titlesandtunes
May pick! This is as good as I can do - a book about teens who may not make it off an island and a 🎶hotel where no one leaves🎶. It‘s shaky, but it‘ll sort of work. Did have fun looking through music though! Also looking forward to the book 😉
1. Meditation
2. Eating waaaay too late in the evening
3. Movie- disaster movies where thousands die. I love them. Watch with my daughter. End of civilization type stuff.

Enjoyed this one (So did Max) that I read for #authoramonth. #aam. I did like The It Girl better though.
#authoramonth this was ok, but I found parts of it a little hard to believe. There were also places where the author said something that didn‘t fit and pulled me out of the book. On the whole though, it was entertaining and I did finish it, which is something. (I am a champion at DNFs)
One of the comforting things about rereading your favorite books.
Reading The It Girl for #authoramonth.
What a fun theme, although at first I couldn‘t think of any except those already posted. Then I looked at my books read list, and they just kept coming! These are two that certainly fit the theme.
Just as a mention, the movie Fatal Attraction (which has been recently remade) is a very creepy movie that was the first thing that popped into my head, but wasn‘t from a book.

I have gotten very little else done while listening to this book. I‘m not one of those people‘s who can speed up the audio, so I‘ve been riveted for hours (and hours). Multiple viewpoints, including a murderer, and a lot of infertility discussion (trigger warning), but this one was a winner. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
1. My very first dream job was that I desperately wanted to be a cashier in a grocery store. I know, I know. This was waaaay back before scanners and those flying fingers over the cash register fascinated me. Later wanted to teach 4th grade.
2. I‘m a retired accountant, whose fingers can fly over a calculator!
3. Alternative/Indie. (Babe Rainbow, Alice Phoebe Lou) No triggers for me there.
#wondrouswednesday. Tagging anybody ❤️
This was a fun one for me, and I‘ll definitely be looking for the next one. This was my #tbrtarot for March which was on my shelf because it was recommended by @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
(Forgot to post this one)
For this month‘s #2023readingbracket I think my favorite was The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. Joyland was great, but it was a reread, so didn‘t include it.
March Wrap Up! This was a good month for me. My favorite first time read this month was The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue. Felt unique and different to me. I adore Joyland , , but it was a reread. Hope you all had a great March!❤️
Started this yesterday and so far it‘s just so good. I seem to really like JT Ellison‘s books- listening to the audiobook for this one!❤️❤️. Another #becauseoflitsy
Here are my books for #bookspin and #doublespin this month! Sometimes I see what they are and think “oh, no” but this month I‘m looking forward to both of them!
#bookspin is a recommendation from @Cinfhen I think?! Doublespin was a #litsylove gift from @CBee ❤️❤️❤️. I hope you all got good picks!!👍
#bookspin #doublespin
Here‘s my April bookspin. It‘s kind of a mess because I forgot to make it square the first time. But it‘ll do! 😉😂
Well, I am pretty proud of myself. Read this a chapter a day with @BarkingMadRead whose hashtags could get me through any book at all. What a fun experience this was, and thank you soooo much, my friend. ❤️

I just love this book. SK type characters, which always feel like either friends or people I know, a great story, and not too long. If you aren‘t a King person but want to try one out, this is a good one.
🍽️ I don‘t think I have a favorite. There are several restaurants that have specific things that I like, but I don‘t think I could pick a favorite. I would say though, that Italian is my favorite
📖 I love books with recipes! Particularly mysteries

Thanks again @BethM

Getting ready to paint my spare room and turn it into a little library. Could you imagine a more perfect paint color?!
Starting this for #losersclub. Don‘t you love it when you start a book that you know you love because you read it before but you can‘t remember a single thing about it?!!?
@BarkingMadRead #whathappenswhenyou‘re63
I haven‘t read this in years and years, but it still has the effect on me that it did then. George and Lenny are friends in a world of migrant workers where no one has friends. There is a lot of fear and sadness and meanness in this one. Although I‘ve read other Steinbeck books, this one always comes to mindfirst.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
#authoramonth
1. Fall, Tootsie Pops (especially the red ones), green, lilacs, stuck in a cabin/anyplace with snow on the ground for miles, coffee, hot tea, or Dr Pepper w cream soda- depends what time of day, Dutch Blitz
2. The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue, Middlemarch and A Deeper Darkness(#bookspin)
What fun questions @Eggs ! Thanks again for tagging me❤️
I read this as a teen and I remember enjoying it, but not much else. I decided to read it for this month‘s #tbrdeckofcards, and to be honest it didn‘t age well. I was overwhelmed by the animal torture and actually kept reading just to try to get to a point where I would begin to feel better, but I think I‘m just too old for this one. I kept thinking “I LIKED this?!?”
I read this today as a book that‘s been on my shelf TBR for at least five years for #LitsyLove It was good. Not great but definitely held my interest as I read it today in one sitting. After reading it I don‘t think I‘d want to see the movie.
⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is my choice for February #2023readingbracket. I am actually surprised, as I‘ve never been a Picoult fan, other than Nineteen Minutes, which I thought was wonderful. This one was excellent, although it is a Covid book, so if you are avoiding that then skip this one!
Found this on my hotel room the other day, so of course I read it. I usually enjoy cozy mysteries, but this was not the first in the series and I think the author assumed we knew a lot more than we did. Seemed a bit silly. (Quicksand?)
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Tim Johnston is becoming one of my auto- buy in hardcover books. Not a thriller, sort of a mystery, but a book I fall into and become part of. Absolutely loved it!
It‘s hard to believe #LitsyLove has been around for five years. Although I was gone for a year, the LitsyLove bunch has been wonderful! For this weekend‘s five year anniversary fun, I‘m reading the tagged book, which has been hanging around on my TBR for quite a while.
I just got home from a short trip with my oldest daughter. I am tired. But when I got home look what was waiting for me! I‘ve given up trying to explain Litsy to anyone. They can‘t possibly understand how much I love you all. Thank you so much for this wonderful surprise from my TBR. You are wonderfully thoughtful and generous people Amy, Misty, and Renee! ❤️❤️❤️
Btw that‘s Jack giving himself a bath #catsoflitsy
