It's a beach day here in LA, so I've set up shop with my library book and booze and will be here until further notice ✌🏽 What are y'all reading this weekend?

Finished The Subtle Knife (book #2) last night, and I was NOT ready for those last ~30 pages. On to the third and final installment, which I immediately picked up from the library!

#TGIF! #currentlyreading the 'His Dark Materials' series in anticipation of the upcoming HBO series. I've never read it before, so it's a treat!

MaggieM Is there going to by a HBO series of the golden compass + the 2 other books in the series? 😱 3d

This is currently me! I don't want this incredible story to end. Does anyone else experience this? (Artist unknown, pic from 'For Book Lovers' on Facebook)

Skipping Christmas | John Grisham

My first #FriYAYIntro post- this was harder than it looks, to be honest!
1) Surprisingly, this was difficult! Scanned the titles I have on my bookshelf and landed on Skipping Christmas by John Grisham. Simple read, but enjoyable nonetheless!
2) I'm torn between telekinesis, teleportation, and telepathy. Any and all of the tele- powers are tempting!
3) Cancer. 🦀
4) Spending time with my younger cousins.

ChaoticMissAdventures 1) Simon vs The Homo Sapiens - I am finishing it now and just Swooning 😍 4w

Winter of the Witch | Katherine Arden

I am #currentlyreading the finale of Katherine Arden's Winternight Trilogy, The Winter of the Witch. This entire series has been compelling and fascinating, a fantasy tale set deep in Russian folklore and civilization. I've absolutely LOVED it and have been recommending it left and right!

First post on Litsy! My goal this year was to read 15 books, and I've got 12 books under my belt so far. I read this book earlier this year and found it to be the perfect introduction to the 'True Crime' genre. McNamara is a skilled writer who was passionate about her subject- the dark world of one of California's most notorious serial killers. This book was like an episode of 'Criminal Minds' in a different format- I highly recommend it!

LibrarianRyan Yeahhhhh. Welcome! 1mo
vivastory One of my favorite true crime books. Welcome to Litsy! 1mo
