My book haul at a cute little indie bookstore called Buffalo Books & Coffee in Buffalo MN. They had an amazing selection of books, but I was in the mood for a couple of lighter reads and so here they are. Aren‘t they beautiful?

1. The hostages being released from Iran. I was in Washington DC when they returned and the buses carrying them went right by me.
2. Library for sure
3. Laura Ingallas Wilder books and then the Anne of Green Gables books.
I have a million chores to do today, but the morning is beautiful here after 9 or 10 days of very hot, humid days and my patio is calling. This is not my usual genre, but I loved the premise so I picked it up. I‘m enjoying it so far.
This is so me! I never think what clothes am I gonna pack, but rather which books am I gonna take. Plus, I always leave room in my bag to bring home any books I‘m sure to purchase on the trip. #bookpeopleproblems #booksareheavy
Truth! This book has been between a So-So and a Pick for me. I guess you could say it‘s had its moments since I didn‘t bail.
No reading tonight! It‘s the NCAA championship game. If Baylor wins my bracket will bring home the money!!! Go Bears!
Better late than never. Thanks @lou.reads.a.lot for the recommendation. I enjoyed this one quite a bit. Now I see it‘s on Netflix so I‘ll have to watch and compare. #Newyearwhodis
1. I will be reading this one again this year with my book group.
2. Lucy Foley(2020) and Karl Malantes (2021)
3. Moving closer to my BFF and my granddaughter and spending time with them as I will be fully vaccinated tomorrow! ❤️💃🍾🥰
I so loved this book! The timeframe is 1893-1932 and tells the story of an Finnish family making a new life in the Pacific Northwest. I learned about logging, fishing and the politics of that time told through this family‘s trials and victories. It‘s over 700 hundred pages and I loved every minute. Time well spent!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Picked this up this weekend while visiting my sister in Arizona. Not sure why I thought it would be a good idea to cart a 700+ page book through the airport tomorrow on the way home, but at least I‘ll have good reading for the whole flight. 🤣 Thinking this one will be a pick judging it so far.
My friend Linda surprised me with this beautiful mosaic art piece made by a friend of hers. I love it! It‘s like the artist made it specifically for me! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
1. Tulips
2. Sizzle is one of my favorite words.
3. I love to watch basketball the most. I do missed March Madness this year. Favorite game to play either Scrabble or Farkle.
@J.B.Baker @A_Novel_Idea
I love the first line....”A girl comes of age against the knife.”
Cold and damp here in Minnesota. Perfect day to light candles and curl up with a new book!
Up before the sun..... I‘m reading this for a book group and it‘s over 500 pages so I hope it picks up a bit or it‘s gonna be a slog. I‘m hopeful because I loved her previous book The Invisible Bridge.
Getting a bit of reading done in my favorite summer reading spot before heading over to my bestie‘s house for the day. I haven‘t read this author before and I‘m enjoying this one so far. A co-worker told me The Piano Tuner was one of the best books he ever read so I‘m definitely going to check it out too.
I loved her first book and this one was just as good. She weaves a twisty story and creates some very unsavory characters, but I loved every minute of it and couldn‘t put it down. Alice Feeney is right up there with Ruth Ware for me. This one is being passed to my youngest daughter as she loves these psychological thrillers a such as I do.

Finally! I‘m reunited with my hair stylist Jenna! Starting this chunkster while I process.
A little light Sunday reading! After reading about darker subjects this month, I thought I‘d start summer with something easy breezy.
I‘m so sad at the passing of master storyteller Carlos Ruiz Zafon. He died today from colon cancer. I just finished the final installment of his Cemetery of Lost Books quartet earlier this month which I loved. He was taken way too young and will be missed. 😢😢😢💔💔💔
The morning couldn‘t be more beautiful. I have loved The Cemetery of Forgotten Books series. I‘m sad that this is the last one. 😩
I found this empty envelope in my mailbox yesterday. Please tell me this was just my book and journal and not someone else‘s!😩
Look what showed up today. Delivered to neighbor and she forgot to bring it over before they went on vacation!

1. I‘m going back to work tomorrow. Finally! So I‘m just planning to read before bed and weekends. I found out this year that reading goals are not my jam!
2. No, but I do write some. Mostly journaling.
3. Election Day, pumpkin pie and stuffing
4. Happy November @robinb @Booksnchill @Cinfhen and @CoffeeNBooks and @AmyG
Congrats on your milestone @TheLibrarian 🍾👍🏻 The tagged book is my favorite book of 2018. These characters have so stuck with me and I still think of them. I didn‘t read this book for along time because I hate the cover, but after hearing raves about it on Litsy I finally read it. So glad I did! 💔💔Thanks for such a generous giveaway. 😘

I haven‘t been on here very much lately, but went through some life changes in October. I ended a 6 year relationship which was long overdue and I finally got a job! I‘ll start a week from today! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I‘ve been reading this book for 2 weeks even though it is excellent. Loving this series so far!💗💗💗
A special thank you to all the support and encouragement you all gave me during my job search! Littens are the best! 😘😘😘
This forced me to read 5-1/2 books off my TBR shelves last time and I‘m hoping to finish all six of these in November. Here is my stack for #makemereadit in November. Please vote for which book I should read first and I will read them in order by number of votes starting 11/1!
This was very interesting to me as I learned very little history in high school or college. She starts with Mussolini and describes how Fascism has grown and evolved through world leaders throughout history. Very readable and it points out how the average person may not notice the changes along the way to the destruction of democracy without blaming.
It‘s cool out this morning, but I‘m reading this little gem with my tea outside. A must read for us right now! 🇱🇷
This book just broke my heart! 💔💔
“Mercy is most empowering, liberating, and transformative when it is directed at the undeserving. The people who haven‘t earned it, who haven‘t even sought it, are the most meaningful recipients of our compassion.”

I would love to win a copy of this book! It‘s so fun to #bookitforward with other Littens. Thank you @InBooksILive for the opportunity to win in your generous #Seafiregiveaway! 😘
This was an awesome start to this series. I‘ve already put the next installment, The Sea Queen, on hold at the library. It‘s a Viking saga set in Norway. This is not my usual genre, but I loved the characters even the evil ones! It made me remember how much I loved Ken Follett‘s Kingbridge series and it‘s been compared to Outlander which is still on my TBR shelves! Loved, loved, loved this fun read! ❤️❤️❤️👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 5⭐️‘s for me!

Congrats @LaurenReads on your huge milestone of #hundredgrand!
I know the tagged book is very obscure, but this is one of my favorite authors. She writes like a dream. She usually writes fiction, but this is the true story of building a cabin in the Minnesota north woods. She also has a new book coming out this week....The Laurentian Divide and I just want more people to read her! 😃
1. 95
2. 125 so I should exceed my goal!

I really enjoyed Playing With Fire by Lawrence O‘Donnell, but don‘t have a favorite.
Amazingly this was written by a young woman. Wise beyond her years.

1. Jewelweed
2. Unthethered
3. Lie to Me
4. In the Woods
5. Exit, Pursued By A Bear
This is my first book in the #bookaweek challenge. I loved learning about the history of the Dakota as well as the story was great too. I‘m anxious to read The Masterpiece now too. I recommend her first novel The Dollhouse as well. She is right up there with Beatriz Williams for historical fiction authors in my book.
1. Hiking along the Temperance River in northern Minnesota. These were some of our views on our climb.

Who can resist 70% off of these hardcovers? Especially when HPB is right on the way to the airport! Rainbirds got cut off and I need that one for #BOTMBuddyRead right?

I‘m going to try one of these photo challenges again this month. This is my Barbie Presley and the only photo I have of her with her Barbies.

Another quarter of #Booked2018 complete! I actually loved all these books but especially A Little Life and The Heart‘s Invisible Furies. I think this may be the only reading challenge I complete this year. 😬
