I can‘t decide which to pick between #bookspin #bookspinbingo @TheAromaofBooks and #roll100 @PuddleJumper
I would like to thank the publisher for this e-ARC in return for my honest review. This is a well written book with perfect English. I liked the starting and the ending but the mid part was kinda dry, fell flat for me. It‘s from Jim‘s point of view, an assistant to Captain Francis Light, of their friendship, their family, their plight in Penang. I do like how it ended and just wished that it wasn‘t as monotonous at some point. ⬇️
I‘ve truly enjoyed this book which is part of the Absolution series! The first one, Amok, is about Mikal and this one is about Yosua. From being a servant to suddenly becoming the Raja (King), Yosua is having a identity crisis which in turn has his parents killed and ousted by his own uncle. I loved how the author created such a lovely world and I can imagined the story 😘 It‘s a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me 😘
