What a weird book. But in a really really good way. It's kind a refreshing reading a character my age (40s) who is a mess. And even though I didn't really like her, which has never stopped me from enjoying a book, I couldn't wait to read what she would do or say next. #aardvark

Fast shipping to my little spot in the world is unusual, so #aardvark for the win this month! I‘m delighted to see this here much sooner than I expected. #botm on the other hand…not sure when that one will decide to show up. At least one more week and I‘m guessing closer to two. 🤷🏼‍♀️

RebelReader I‘m curious about this one so I‘m looking forward to your review. 2w

This one is slightly 🍌👖. The narrator is full on hallucinating for a good part of the novel. I actually found this way more enjoyable once I stopped trying to read it before bed. The mystery itself is very good. It's hard to unravel the clues with an unreliable narrator so I just let this flow along. Glad this was my #Aardvark pick for Feb.

A novel told from 10 points of view of life in Hrishipur India. It begins and ends with Maneka, who has been living in America for many years and returns to India to be with her father after her mother passes. She plans to write a book about women‘s lives in India, or maybe the financial plight of the people there, or maybe the story of the housing market. The shift of her attention moves with the stories of the characters we follow.

Soubhiville A good first pick from #Aardvark and also my #Bookspin for March. Igor looking handsome in the background 😸💖💙 2w

This was a fast-paced crime thriller offered by #aardvark. I really enjoyed Detective Rita. She‘s 60 with a fellow detective love interest (not the focus of her POV though) and I appreciated her character. I was wrong about who the killer was and although the motive was far-fetched, the small twist helped it make more sense. I didn‘t feel very connected to the MC but the plot was engaging and #audio was well done. 3.5⭐️ #pop23 book with a pet

I took the plunge and made my March #aardvark pick. Seen a bunch of instagram reviews on this book so I hope I‘m in for a good time. I am really looking forward to a skip option at Aardvark. I don‘t want to cancel but I‘m not always 100% sold on the selections. I‘m going to let it play out a few more months bc I can‘t bring myself to quit.

Megabooks Same!! 💯💯 4w
swishandflick I saw a response from them to an Instagram comment that said the skip function was currently being tested on iOS, so hopefully soon! 4w
tpixie I just heard about this on What should I read next? Owner of Novel Neighbor Bookshop in St Louis recommended it! 3w

1. Continuing to learn and also enjoy vast travel in my imagination. It also is a key part of my evening routine, it helps me to relax and let the day go.
2. I have Maame waiting for me at the library. I also hope Big Swiss comes in, I saw it was an #aardvark offering but I abstained from buying it…so far
3. I like magical realism and I hope Emma Seckle is thinking up a new book right now 🤞🏼
