Slow at first but it turned out pretty good!
This book was irritating at first, but towards the end, I realized why it was repetitive.
It was okay. There are some funny parts and some facts that I never knew about the "art" of farting.
I loved it. Every chapter was worth reading!
My favorite stories were The Finkelstein; Things My Mother Said; Friday Black and Through the Flesh.
VERY INTERESTING!
Sheek, Sweet Breath and Alfred I loved. Very slick writing with a lot of truths and mysteries of Baltimore
A horror story involving a cult conjuring up this monster. Not one of my favorites.
"A small man can be just as exhausted as a great man" -this is a book of broken dreams, settling, depression and then the ultimate act to end it.
" You don't need to be great to get started, but you need to get started to be great"
It was okay. A cool kids story. There was a part that was sad, I can see why it's on the banned book list.
"Just because some of us can read and write and do a little math, that doesn't mean we deserve to conquer the Universe"
The reveal at the end was worth the whole thing!
It was very good and unfortunately still relevant today.
"I've decided that, if I accomplished nothing else in this life, I somehow would get enough education to be able to read common books and newspapers" (Booker T Washington) -no matter what adversity comes through, you can overcome and make a difference.
" I don't want your money Kas, I want your soul!" A story about getting revenge on those who sent you to Hell.
" Ivan ilyich saw that he was dying, and he was in continual despair" this book shows that death is known before you kick the bucket...will you live your life unapologetically?
If you are easily triggered, don't read this one... 😐
I love how Candace thinks. My favorite chapter is "On Culture". HIGHLY RECOMMEND
This was a great book! Jem and Scout made this book and Atticus was a very intelligent character!
A history on Viruses, Pandemics and Immunity with understanding concepts and history attached with references to the current COVID 19 epidemic.
This book was very intriguing and im interested in continuing the series.
Ta-Nehisi seems angry in this book and blames his life's problems solely on white people which I dont agree with. I just wish he would have had some excerpts in his book that celebrated his accomplishments without blaming white people in conjunction.
I loved this book. The experience between his Mom and the author made this book.
*My reaction at the end* REALLY?!?! Iain Banks never disappoints and this book is no exception!
It was okay. Dark humor and young adult angst involved. Benjamin was kind of annoying at times.
Very touching story...I wonder if thats how Heaven really is like?
There were a lot of good short stories. One of my favorites is The Other Side of the Hedge by E M Forster
You can relate to all the characters feelings and thoughts when it comes to forgiveness.
This book is the grown up version of Hansel and Gretel and man what an ending!!!
DON'T FEEL BAD ABOUT BOOKS YOU HAVENT READ YET! 🙂😉

Im halfway through this, but I cant get into it.. So predictable, does it get better?!?!
A mixture of Catcher in The Rye by JD Salinger and Im Thinking of Ending Things by Lain Reid. Great Book!
I know its a metaphor but I cant help to think, damn, all that for some chocolates! 😂
It was pretty good. Its all about religion and the Darwin theory.
