Making progress this year. Even if the last month wasn't that great. 😜
I think it was a bit like a reading slump...
Have you signed up for the #BBRC Birth and Beyond Reading Challenge. We have 44 challengers so far, and if you are not on the list, but would like to participate there is still time.
The #BBRC is pretty easy. It's a list of 77 books to read (you choose the titles to match the prompts) that covers books for the youngest to the oldest of us all. The challenge goes for 1 year: July 1, 2019-June 30, 2020.
Yay! Goodreads reading challenge completed! 😀😁😊💜📚
But with six months still left in the year, and with a portion of these being picture books for storytime prep, I'd definitely like to read another 50+ that are a healthy combo/balance of middle grade, YA, and literary adult fiction.
So let's get to it!
These are my picks for #booked2019 summer. Of course, they are subject to change!
2. Muslim Author or MC
3. Book To Movie
4. Comic or Graphic Novel
5. Book Gifted To You
6. Diverse Middle Grade
Mid year check in for #goodreadschallenge and while I‘m a little behind I‘m feeling pretty good about my progress. I can guarantee I‘ll more than catch up in July because I‘ve got a long holiday weekend and a readathon bookending the month! 😁
Not sure how well I'd do but I'm all signed up! @LibrarianRyan has created some really great, creative themes/prompts for this challenge that it's hard to say no!
Have you signed up? For more details, just search #BBRC. You'll see 6 categories, all with prompts that will get you to read out of your comfort zone!

An interesting six minute read about reading goals and challenges. “The only difference between a nonreader and a reader is that a reader has a plan for future reading and a nonreader does not.”
I am reposting this since it has been a while and there are some who missed it and lots of new Littens. Here is how the challenge works, anytime you read a book in a series tag me and use the #SeriesRead. As a motivator, I am doing quarterly giveaways. Each tag is an entry. So read as little or as much as you want! Winners will be drawn randomly and in the month following the end of each quarter. Happy Reading!
I think, I am doing a great job. 🤩
Well, like half of them were picture books, but that is why I set the goal so high. 😂 I didn‘t expect to reach it in May.
...and the winner is, @4thhouseontheleft Congratulations! Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org with your address and I will get your prize out to you. Thanks everyone for participating in my reading challenge. I was surprised at the number of books my fellow Littens read for this challenge in just the first quarter. Keep reading everyone, there will be three more chances to win this year.
Well the last month wasn't good... I had to work more and in the evening I wasn't concentrated enough to finish the books I wanted to... Hope this month will be better... 😍😊
First day of #24B4Monday is gone and I didn't read much. 30 minutes.... 😶 Hope tomorrow will be better.
From the outstanding @TheSpineView :
Reading @MrBook posts this morning about first in a series book it reinforced to me just how many series I need to finish! All the books! I suspect I am not alone and that is why I am hosting the #SeriesRead challenge.

It's just because of you all, that I manage to read sooooo many books. 💕💕💕💕 I am so thankful for this community. 😍
#booked2019 update. Now on to finishing my female detective pick!😁
Halfway through the #mmdchallenge 😊
Reading The Black Box by Michael Connelly next, so that will be 3 books by the same author ticked off ✔
Loving these different challenges ❤
I forgot to show my reading stats for January... 😊
11 books (planned 8)
2512 pages (planned 2000)
I am quite happy 😍
I like to track my reading digitally, but I like to have a physical spot to plan. I decided to put everything all together in my notebook so I can plan what to read for them. I have an unexpected snow day, so I put this together. #mmdchallenge #booked2019 #readharderchallenge #readingwomenchallenge. I wasn‘t going to do #readharder but my coworker talked me into it. 🤦🏻♀️
Updating my reading stats 🤩
Can't believe I'm half way through the #mmdchallenge already!
Going to read a couple of books from the #booknerdchallenge next.
My two current reads are from neither challenges and one was totally unplanned as always happens with me 😂
I‘m a little late, but here‘s how I did on last year‘s #MountTBRchallenge
I read 24 books from my tbr. Some of these had been standing on my shelves for almost 10 yrs so I‘m happy about getting to them.
But even more important is that I read 84 books, but bought 83 books. So even if it‘s not much, my tbr shrunk by one book.
I hope this continue in 2019.
My reading challenge for 2019 is to read 60 books.
I read 72 books in 2018 but my goal is staying the same, as I want to enjoy my reading instead of rushing to meet a goal 😊📚
Add me on #goodreads Suzie Cluskey
My second reading challenge for 2019
Took a while to think of a few of these and I found the children's book one very difficult because of my job, I've read most. Adore Peter Pan though and never read J. M. Barrie's, Peter and Wendy 😮
Also I don't hate the cover of Alice Feeney's - Sometimes I like but then I don't like it that much 😂
Love this challenges though as they take you out of your comfort zone👍
