#104 of my year and I was supposed to read Leigh Bardugos new one but this was calling my name so loudly so I had to read this first. This is my Book of The Month October pick and I am so excited.

Caffeinated_Reader I‘m conflicted about this book. I absolutely loved it in the beginning I was blown away by it all. It was so huge and well written. Then towards the end I felt like I was being preached at and the entire story became something completely different lol I was like wait WHAT? (edited) 6d
Caffeinated_Reader I think it should have stayed true to what the story was without trying to be this huge cluster fuck of religious crap. I get it you can‘t have a story about the devil without including god in it BUT when 6d
Caffeinated_Reader all 600 plus pages were perfectly balanced and dished out you really ruin it by shoving a whole other agenda in the end. I will still recommend this book because there‘s a lot of amazing things to think about and obviously it opens dialogue on the subject (edited) 6d
Caffeinated_Reader of heaven vs hell good vs evil and whatever but I am extremely disappointed with the way it‘s left. So yeah. 6d

Caffeinated_Reader Omg that was perfect. James the hobo not hobo is perfect. He is a character that will stay with me. The whole book pulls you in and sets a quick pace. It‘s a very interesting and exciting storyline and a must read! All the hype is right! 2w

#101 of my year 😈 I absolutely loved the show and can‘t wait till season 2. Now time to dive into the story. I‘m loving that cover so much and shall kick off spooky season with this one!

Clwojick I am obsessed with the cover art! 🙈😱😍 2w
Caffeinated_Reader @Clwojick right!!! I got it in my owlcrate subscription box and was so giddy when I saw it! So far the book is nothing like the show lol so it goes. 2w
Caffeinated_Reader That was exciting. I like the tv show a lot more than the book. The book was creepy and entertaining and great but it was still lacking I thought. Maybe I would have liked it more had I read the book first but I doubt it. Judging the book separately from the show I give it 5 stars for a great eerie experience! 2w

#100 of my year 😱 I use to hear about people reading over 100 books in a year and was so shocked! Now I will be one of those people. It‘s almost October and this will definitely set the tone for a spooktacular beginning 🎃

Caffeinated_Reader This was extremely well written. The characters were great and the bone houses were pretty cool too. The last 150 pages were drawn out and frustrating but other than that it was pretty great. A quick easy read. It wasn‘t as eerie or scary as I wanted it to be but it was good. 3w

#97 of my year. Finally going to read this duology. Super excited. I really enjoyed The Shadow and Bone series so it‘s definitely time to devour this one 💜

Caffeinated_Reader 😐 I should stop beginning a book at the time of day when my teen boys get out of school because then I can‘t read more than a few pages 🙇🏻‍♀️ oh well I‘ll pick up more tomorrow (pg12) 1mo
Caffeinated_Reader Well that was definitely a book I‘m glad I read this year. Kaz is a very brutal leader and his crew of criminals keep the book at a perfect pace. Lots of excitement and back stories on each main character and I loved seeing how things came to be between Matthias & Nina. I think that was such a great storyline. All & all I can see all the hype surrounding this series is not just bullshit. 1mo

Caffeinated_Reader I absolutely love the writing style of Becky Masterman. The character Brigid Quinn is excellent. She‘s so witty, tuff, mysterious, and badass! #63 of my year and it‘s getting harder and harder to pick which book I will read next. I have so many I still really can‘t wait to read but finding the order to read them all in is so hard! At least it‘ll be easy to pick what to read since half are in the mail & the other aren‘t released till later this year.

Caffeinated_Reader (P58) Oh shiiiit. This is like back in the day when I read Otherland and felt all creeped out because of the possibilities of the story. This is one of those stories that are eerie and only fictional because they‘ve not happened...yet 😰😵😳 4mo

Idk the first half was epic and eerie and great but the last half was like what it may have felt like to be in that situation lol stuck in a time loop. Pure hell. I think the story got the point across...don‘t fuck with time people!!! Crazy story. Thanks for the anxiety lol
