Oh Charlie Parker how I adore you and your view of the world. 💜

I just finished up the second book in this series and yet again we find the main character, who is still tormented by his family's murder, striving to do something good in the world around him. Parker is on the search for another sadistic serial killer only this one has link to his own childhood.

Unpopular opinion. This started out quite intriguing and then fell flat for me. Jane is badass, no doubt, and the narrator was awesome. I think it may have been just me wanting more zombie 😂 Will still read the sequel though.

This is my LAST book for the #litsyAtoZ challenge for 2019. This is the toughest letter in the challenge, in my opinion, but I'm excited because this looks like a good read! @booksishmarginalia

Generally a historical romance and an easy read. I am sure some sections of it ( especially the Lord Melbourne and Queen Victoria relationship) has been made larger than life but the book does follow the rest of history (or at least what I know of it) fairly accurately. This book is supposed to be what the television series is based on so am looking forward to watching that.

This was an impressive debut from Angie Kim. A riveting courtroom drama with authentic characters. The mystery will draw you in but it's the powerful, honest portrayal of parenthood, disability care, and immigration that will make you fall. One of my favorite reads this year!

Raw and compelling view on addiction. Made me start an open dialogue with my kids. Worth the read for every parent!

I resisted this story because I have a teen daughter. It‘s very well written, and a fast, intriguing read. Suicide trigger but the perspective is different because the narrator is a group of young boys infatuated with the Lisbon girls. I thank @annebogel and the #whatshouldireadnext podcast for the recommendation. Without hearing how good it was I never would have read this. Check off V for the #litsyAtoZ challenge! @BookishMarginalia
