Didn't manage 50k steps, will probably end at around 42k. It's okay. As you can see, especially the last three days we're quite good.

Did yoga nearly every day. 🎉

Read/listened to 5 books this week.

Pic from our 3 hour outing this morning. A friend took pictures of us in the forest. We climbed a lookout tower for a view of our town. And, the friend also took pictures of us with books. 😁

julesG @RachelO @wanderinglynn @Bookishthoughts @suzie.reads Thanks! We had good weather, cold and windy, but dry and sunny spells. @BarbaraBB I'm in Germany. The town is called Bielefeld. It just made it into international news a few weeks ago, because the town council offered 1 million euros to the person who could prove that the city doesn't exist. https://www.themayor.eu/mt/prove-this-city-doesnt-exist-and-win-1-million-euros 2d

Riveted_Reader_Melissa I liked it, definitely one of his YA reads, much more simple and straightforward, but it was a quick and enjoyable read. 1w
See All 7 Comments
julesG @Riveted_Reader_Melissa I totally forgot about this month's book and will probably read it later, in preparation for book 2. I hope the library has it. Totally goofed. 🙈 1w
gossamerchild This was not my favorite Pratchett. I felt like the satire was much more heavy handed, and so I didn't enjoy reading it as much. 1w
Gezemice It was definitely for kids, and very much stuck in its time. Today‘s kids play lots of video games, too, but there is a huge variety, and many do not involve killing everything in sight. But back then it would have been probably accurate. He is also making a parralel between a game that is a war and a war that looks like a game on TV - the first Gulf War. As Pratchett is always on top of trends, he could see how dangerous is trivializing war. 1w
Gezemice @Riveted_Reader_Melissa I thought the first half was boring, but it picks up in the second, story-wise. Towards the end I could not help but smile at how the 12 year olds‘ dialogue was so similarly silly to Adam and his friends in Good Omens. I thought it was enjoyable but I would not recommend it to other than Pratchett fans - too dated. He has better ones. @gossamerchild 1w

I'm posting twice today, I missed yesterday.

This is a case of "putting me off". Just because the author's name is printed much larger than the book's title. Tbh, I was confused at first about who is who, I actually thought the author's name was Jemima J. ?
