Posting covers I love for 7 days, no explanation needed. Tagging someone to play each day.

If you haven‘t been tagged yet, this is me officially tagging YOU! Join in!

I‘ve had so much fun deciding which covers to feature - and I‘ve really enjoyed seeing the covers that other Littens love. My tbr stack continues to grow 😄

Littens, back me up. I was texting with my sister yesterday and I was finding all these cool vegan friendly Halloween recipes in between our chatting so I sent a couple her way only for her to exclaim that it was too early... 😱
In my mind once September 1 hits its open season Halloweentown. Am I wrong? Is Halloween creep the new Xmas creep? Is all the celebrating the spooky starting earlier every year? Or is my sister protesting too much? 😂

vivastory You're definitely NOT wrong. Honestly I'm ready for fall/Halloween around the middle of August! 2d
Sweetkokoro My sister has been in Halloween mode since August 1st, not kidding, she was calling places to find out when halloween stuff would be out haha. So I fully support anyone who feels Halloween starts Sept 1st. The earlier the better if you ask me. 2d
ferskner I personally think that Halloween starts on October 1st, but just to give the rest of fall a fighting chance. Autumnal recipes are fair game! 2d
See All 13 Comments
RiaWritten I'm of the school of November 1st starting to plan for next year so I may be the wrong ons to ask. 😹 2d
arlenefinnigan Also, finding new cool ways to eat healthy food is seasonal all year round. 2d
Owlizabeth I‘m of the opinion that you can have Halloween spirit year round! But Sept 1 sounds like a reasonable start date to me!! 2d
Palimpsest There are too many moody Halloween type books I wouldn‘t get to read if I waited until October 1 to celebrate the season. I‘m already on my third spooky read this year. I wait to decorate until the beginning of October, but I‘m with you, I‘ve been looking for fun fall recipes, Halloween desserts, and other Halloween stuff on Pinterest since the beginning of September. 🤷🏼‍♀️ 🎃 2d
LauraBeth It's still 100 dang degrees in Atlanta, so in my mind - yes it's too early! 😂 That said, I know a lot of people really love Halloween, so I have no qualms about people being excited about it and wanted to plan for it! 2d
Meaw_catlady I celebrate Halloween 24/7 all year round! It‘s never too early!! 🎃 👻 2d
Eyelit @vivastory @Sweetkokoro @ferskner @RiaWritten @Owlizabeth @Palimpsest @Meaw_catlady I knew I came to right place for validation!! 😄🎃❤️ 2d
Eyelit @LauraBeth lol, we‘re still having days hit 100 here in Austin as well! That‘s why it‘s so important to get onto the autumn state of mind early 😂 (cause the temps won‘t reflect the season until November at least) 2d
Eyelit @arlenefinnigan yes!!! 👏😁 2d

Y‘all will NEVER guess where I‘m going in the new year... lol. #libraryhaul

My sister and I try to do a trip together every year and I get to do ALL the planning (trust me, I love this). Neither of us have been to TN and Nashville seemed like the best place to start.

So, TN (and Nashville) peeps: give me your recommendations. Bookish things. Vegan things. Music things. Weird and of interest things we should see. 😊 #Nashville

Took a wee jaunt to #scotland this weekend in the form of two rom-coms.

The tagged book was utterly delightful and I‘ll be looking into Colgan‘s other books.

The other was a low to middling meh (the protagonist was just a bit tstl for my liking).

Interestingly, both featured the heroine helping out with a lambing (and twins in both!)... so is that now a standard thing on rom-com novels set in 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿?

janeycanuck @Eyelit so many! We started in Oslo for a couple of days, then drove up to Bergen, doing a bunch of hiking and then headed back to Oslo via the Norway in a nutshell route. My fav parts... Oslo - opera house, sculpture park, Viking ship museum, Munch museum. Bergen - walking tour with Martin, the funicular, Kode 3. Hiking - Trolltunga was amazing, Preikestolen is the most accessible, Kjeragbolten was really hard. Waffles & bolle are delicious!! (edited) 1mo

I‘ve probably got another hour in me before I crash, but I may just make the whole 24 hours this weekend! 🤞😄 #24in48

cathipink Just read they're making this into a tv show with Cobie Smulders. I'll have to see if my library has this one. 2mo
Eyelit @cathipink that is great news! Thanks for letting me know 😃 2mo

More than halfway through the #24in48readathon and I‘m feeling good about my progress. I‘ve finished the above books, and have been listening to Middlemarch whenever my eyes need a break and my body needs to move. 😁
just as well that I‘m slightly ahead of my goal for hours as I‘m taking a 2.5 hour break later this evening to go see a movie with friends (it was a last minute plan and one I couldn‘t really say no to) #24in48

back to reading 🤪

I‘m a late adopter to #audiobooks - and Litsy was definitely the tipping point for my decision to give them a try. I can do quite a lot of chores/cooking/walking while still reading! It‘s changed my world, for sure. I borrow all audiobooks from my library, primarily through #hoopla 📚🎧💜 #24in48 #blameitonlitsy

Sweettartlaura Neil Gaiman‘s books are fantastic. Neil Gaiman books read by Neil Gaiman ... heavenly 🥰 ☁️ 2mo
bewareofwords Middlemarch is incredible! Very long but very worth it.👏🏽 2mo
cathipink Audiobooks have definitely changed my reading life 🙂 happy listening! 2mo
Redwritinghood Same! I love both Hoopla and Libby, but I find the Libby app much better to use. 2mo

After getting over 4 hours in the beginning of #24in48 I kinda crashed and slept longer than I planned. 🤷🏻‍♀️😂
I‘m up now and catching up on challenges and listening to Middlemarch to ease into the day. 😄
Above is my down to the wire entry for the sci-fi challenge. Anyone who has talked to me about books for more than five minutes knows of my great love for Saga. Aside from Buffy it is one of my obsessions. Love this series!
