I‘m posting this late but in Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 our festivities continue until mid January. Honestly, my decoration goes down almost in February with San Valentine‘s month😂
All cards were so pretty. The messages, the quotes, the stickers, bookmarks and even games😃They are beautiful and just receiving them, made me happy. Some were handmade and others the envelope has an interior design. Some with glitters. Love them all😍Thank you🥰⬇️

Second book I forgot to include on August 2025, which means that I read 15 books instead of 13.
I have mix feelings with this story. Sometimes I found Zelu so immature and annoying. But then, when you understand her background and all the challenges she had to surpass in her life even with her family resistant to accept the use of technology to give Zulu independence, I change my perspective. Zelu‘s novel is like an alter ego. L⬇️

😱I forgot 2 books read on August 2025 bk1
Another author thay I bought a couple of her books when BookOutlet shipped to PR. without knowing that they are Christian fiction. I haven‘t found much religious content which is not my thing. This story is about to reveal what happened in a murder. The church was involved but the story focus in the investigation. Some conservative beliefs are discussed but I integrated as part of the story⬇️

December 2025 Book #4 last book read this month last book read in 2025📚🙌
This was an interesting book. A body was found with supposedly a Christmas‘ list. But that was a victim‘s list. The plot is discovering who is this killer, working in the profile and follow clues. Tom, the detective, also has his secrets. There is an alternate story where a narrator is telling how was they Christmas. There are two twists in the story, ⬇️

December 2025 Book #3
Madeline is a survivor of a crime attempt but she can‘t remember anything. Someone is paying for that crime and now, years later request a review in his case. This famous writer find Madeline after she moved, and is offering her to reveal what real happened. A friend of Madeline disagree with this offer. Then the plot is how Madeline remembers what happened and an expected (obvious) romance rise. ⬇️

December 2025 Book #2
Not as good as the first one. As we saw in the first book, it has all these gossip interaction through emails or texts creating a confusing situation. Humorous tone like the first one. For a novella, wI think it was good because the is a plot development and a good closure. Are we going to see a sequel? 🤔

December 2025 Book #1
I have different editions and I am only in book 3🤦🏽♀️Those of you ,who have read my reaction to this series, know that I see a little strange that relationship between Eve Dallas and Roarke, I think he, in some way, try to control Eve, and she, is in someway, is vulnerable, which means for me, that there is a control there,. Anyway, thats my perception as a reader. Most people love Roarke. But I enjoy this book. ⬇️

November 2025 #Book #6 last book read that mont
That cozy cover but it didn‘t work for me. I found this story so boring🤷🏽♀️Romances are not my favorite genre but I can enjoy them, like if they are part of a good story or when they happen in other genres. I‘m seeing lately that those supposedly “spicy” novels don‘t work well for me. Novel has more pages describing this forced, bad constructed” scenes that I just get bored in the middle⬇️

November 2025 Book #5
Sadie gets worry when her husband isn‘t return from a job trip. With a snowstorm coming, alone in her isolated house and only knowing a person in the area, Sadie starts to investigate what happened to her husband. During phone calls and house searching she discover that her husband has many secrets. Now she sees someone approaching the house, hiding outside. What happened in her husband‘s life? What are these secrets? ⬇️

November 2025 Book #4
Well, it took me 2 years to read this one. As I say, I will read the book, eventually. I can‘t help it, I‘m a slow, mood reader who get distracted by other books🥹🤷🏽♀️😔
Wow, I really like this novel with all those unlikable characters and dysfunctional family dynamics. If you hate so much those characters, well I think then that author made her job. Of course, it has a great premise and plot based on real event⬇️

November 2025 Book #3
I made an incorrect comment when I was reviewing The hacienda😳I already corrected it. I mentioned that there was an attempt of a forbidden romance, but is in this novel where that incident happens🤦🏽♀️Both novels have the same gothic atmosphere and tone. I liked this one too. This author was added my favorite author list. The story has a slow pace and it takes a couple of pages until I was immersed in the story⬇️

November 2025 Book #2
Beautiful Autumn cover with sprayed edges…but so boring 🥱 It is a YA story too cheesy, the plot was didn‘t go any where. I don‘t know if this will be my first time, I think, where I unhaul a gorgeous book 🤷🏽♀️2⭐️

November 2025 Book #1
There is a movie adaptation of this book, it is not bad but I highly recommend to read the book first. This is a slow pace character driven story. The book August character, is so different of the the movie one, the actor is good but not same. In the book you will understand better that great twist at the end😱Maybe there was a sensation that the story was dragged out after the half part but then…the twist⬇️

October 2025 Book #7
This is a YA retelling of And Then There were none. It was pretty good for a YA novel. 3/3.5⭐️

October 2025 Book #6
First book in a series. I really liked this story. It has obviously the murder, the mystery surrounding this murder, family drama, romance, secrets and our main character who is untraditional in his methods to investigate. It was a fast pace. Trying to find the hardcover editions in secondhand. I found the first 3 books 3.8/4⭐️

October 2025 Book#5
I like this retelling of Beauty and the Beast but love it. But I like to read retellings from my favorite fairytale. 3⭐️

October 2025 Book #4
This was so good and I don‘t think I need to talk much about this story, many persons have read it. So atmospheric, gothic read my physical copy with the audiobook and it was fantastic. 4⭐️

October Book #3
In the past a seance was conducted and something went wrong, a real spirit was unleashed. Present day Julia accepts a job offer from a stranger to take care of an elderly woman. At her arrival, something is familiar to Julia. Mrs Sinclair is confusing her with another woman. Then, strange things happens and Julia feels that she is trapped in that house, in some way she feels knows the house and some objects seem familiar⬇️

October 2025 Book #2
Third book in the series. This time the mystery takes place in a museum. Jewels were stolen and the mommy to transported for the exhibition was replaced by another body who seemed died recently. Who is the person they found in the sarcophagus? And when the mommy was replaced? Clara will use her background of chemistry studies to help clarify this mystery. Some confused details but in general I liked the mystery 3.5/3.8⭐️

October Book #1
Iris hides that she is a witch. When she is frustrated, she writes curses not intended to happen, she destroyed them at the end. But one day writes a curse for Pike after he made a comment. A bird took the paper where she wrote the curse. Now she and Pike are working together to find the bird because if it dies, the curse could destroy Pike and the region🙄It was so boring 🥱 2.5/3⭐️

Septiembre 2025 I read 9 books
Only #DoubleSpin was finished.
Best book: Storyteller by Jodi Picoult
I can say that with the exception of September House, I enjoyed all the books read. But I‘m glad I read The September House because I like to have my own opinion in books that are in my physical tbr. They are there, with me, because I was excited to read them even if later it didn‘t work🤷🏽♀️

Septiembre 2025 Book #9 last book read this month
I really wanted to like this book but unfortunately didn‘t work for me. But I read it which I wanted to. The story of a haunted house where supposedly the owner get hurst but still stays there because she likes the hoy use and the ghost was ridiculous. More a mental health issue than horror. There were interesting parts but in general not what I expected. Love the cover though 2.5/3⭐️

Septiembre 2025 Book #8
First in a series. This was part of #CBBC long time ago. Reading it late🤷🏽♀️ I took again advantage that the audiobook was free in that month.. it was good and interesting. Lena took the job to work of ghost writer with Camilla who is her favorite author. They develop a great relationship, there is a murder and what appears like the star of romance. 3.5⭐️another series I will like to continue

Septiembre 2025 Book #7
One of those books that has been in my shelf for ever🙄I took advantage that audiobooks was free. I bought some of this author books long time ago in BookOutlet when they shipped to PR, they don‘t anymore😭but I didn‘t realize they are Christian fiction which is not at all my thing. But this one surprise me. First book I read by this author. No strong religious content and protagonist is trying to continue her life⬇️

Septiembre 2025 Book #6
I wish I could have that cover, my copy is the ugly tv show edition😝I expected more due to the hipped but still it was creepy. It gives that nervousness if they are going to make it to go back. I want to continue the series but not in that ugly tv edition. I haven‘t see the tv show, have you? Sometimes tv shows or movies mix more that one book, that‘s why I will like to read book 2 first. 3.8

September 2025 Book #5
Second book in the series. Not necessarily as good as the first book in the series but still enjoyable. The mystery this time took place in a theatre. Again, Clara gets involved. In this novel we will know more aspects of Clara‘s life. 3.5⭐️

Septiembre 2025 Book #4
This one is from my #OUBC subscription, with me since 2022😳Second book I read by this author and once again, I enjoyed the story. Not a pleasant one but as the author said “we should never forget the lessons we learned from WWII”
Story is about two sisters that separated during the war. But then they will reunite. They changed so much during that period they were apart, but the war circumstances will help them to⬇️

September 2025 Book #3
Another surprise. First book I read by this author and I really liked her style. Sage assists to a grief support center due to her mother‘s death. There, she share with Josef, an elderly man who everyone has sympathy. Josef has a secret that decides to reveal to Sage and ask her for an unusual favor. Then, Sage try to know why Josef asked her to do that task. This story was a roller coaster of secrets and emotions⬇️

September 2025 Book #2
Another surprise. For a YA novel, the story was interesting. Book one in a duology. Story is about this exclusive college sorority. But in reality, they are witches. The sorority purpose is to identify new witches. It is through one initiation that Scarlett will discover that she is a witch. Many secrets will be revealed for Scarlett. Now their secrecy is in danger..tan..tan..tan..tan 3/4⭐️

September 2025 Book #1
This was a surprise. First book in a duology I didn‘t expect much since it is a YA book. But this dark academia was entertaining. Four friends, totally different, try to reveal the school mystery and the real truth behind her best friend death. 3/3.5⭐️

August 2025 I read 13 books. I was just surprised because lately my reading time is so limited 😭
Favorite book-King of Ashes
Happy to get off my shelf a couple of books, some will be sold or donated.

August 2025 Book #13 last book read for this month
The new cover can get the attention for a read who likes to read summer topics, mine is an old copy. This novel…😳was so bad for me😐it didn‘t work for me at all🤦🏽♀️If this is the author writing style and common topics, I‘m not interested then to read anything else. Sorry for the fans out there. 1⭐️

August 2025 Book #12
Beautiful cover but this novel didn‘t work for me. I found it so boring. Even with a good premise and interesting character, well at the beginning I struggled to finish it. I have found that when you have more than one author in a novel there is a disconnection if that is the correct word. I didn‘t see like an integration in the story. It was like reading chunks of different stories. It didn‘t feel like the same tone⬇️

August 2025 Book #11
Not necessarily my favorite by this author but I still liked it. This author has a magnificent way to write about family dynamics with difficult past, vulnerable environment, risky choices with fatal consequences. At the same time, even in controversial circumstances, you want to understand his characters, like Roman and his terrible choices☹️Do we need just to let people face their mistakes? Even if they are family? ⬇️

August 2025 Book #10 love that cover. I found an old secondhand copy not in the best condition but it is hardcover with the original cover 😍
I liked this story but didn‘t love it. I need to confess that not always speculative novels work for me🤷🏽♀️I was expecting something else. I didn‘t feel connected with the story because it didn‘t make sense to me why all these voodoo situation which means that I did f love the ending. 3.5/3.7⭐️

August 2025 Book #9
A cozy mystery about Gabrielle a survivor of a crime attempt had difficulties to continue with her routine work and social life. She decides then to move to this small town were she finds a job in a library. Then things start to happen.
You can be frustrated sometimes with this character and the story per se was okay. But there was some parts I liked but. It goes from meh to kay☺️3⭐️

August 2025 Book #8
I enjoyed this novel since it has a couple of twists with family drama. Mrs. MacFarland, a survivor of London Blitz event never talk about her past, but this time she requested to be interviewed by Kendra, a graduated student. Why Mrs MacFarland decided to talk now? In this two time line story we will know about Isabel experiences during the war and all about her family . 3.8/4⭐️

August 2025 Book #7
Beautiful cover. Author‘s note indicates that this novel was inspired of what happened during the Spanish Flu and what we lived during the pandemic time with COVID. This is the story of immigrant Pía who at her 13 years old start to search for her family since she lost contact with them while she was at the hospital. How Pía was separated from her family and how she survived due to her immigrat status was hard. ⬇️

August 2025 Book #6
I didn‘t connect with this novel story because it was like some kind of forced, conveniently constructed to just have something related with September 11 events. That‘s how I felt as a reader. However, during reading time, I absolutely transpited my thoughts of what happened that day and it was devastated to me. Just like I feel when I read novels about the WWI, WWII or any other tragic event. Still don‘t understand why ⬇️

Here in PR we continue with holiday festivities until mid January. We even continue receiving gifts…on January 6, which is why it is perfectly accepted to treat myself with some books😜…excuses, excuses to continue buying books🤣🤣🤣🤣

August 2025 Book #5
Danielle inherited a house and when she visited, she realized that a ghost lives in her house. This ghost asks Danielle‘s help to find out how he died. It is a simple story that reminded me The Ghost and Mrs Muir and the tv show Ghost Whisperer. Since I liked those two stories maybe that‘s why I enjoyed this book, a soft pick that I needed. Let‘s see what happens in book 2. 3⭐️

August 2025 Book #4
This story is inspired in events that occurred in Willowbrook and which were exposed by Geraldo Rivera about deplorable conditions students with disabilities and residents were living and the abuse they received. The novel is about Sage and her twin sister who had disabilities and she thought was dead but she was not. Then Sage is confused by her twin sister and is through her that we will see what happen insudecWilkiwbrook⬇️

August 2025 Books #3
A cozy mystery set in the 1930‘s where Clara inherited her uncle detective agency. I like Clara Vale character, well educated woman, likes fashion but down to earth. She has a dramatic mother who she ignores sometimes. The novel presents some issues women faced during that time which can be annoying today but we are still working in that equity. The story is funny, fast paced and the mystery is interesting. ⬇️
