Oh my stars! I love Jeneva‘s style of writing, the way she captures who the characters are, even when they are beyond unlikable, she makes them likable. I loved the plot & all the twists & turns. I figured out early on who was responsible for what was happening, but I didn‘t figure out the why until it was revealed. I was left with a few questions at the conclusion of the book, but that adds to the appeal of the book.
Highly recommend!

My goodness I never thought I would escape the mist! I entered hoping to discover how to help The Girl in the Mist, unfortunately I got trapped and it took 512 pages to make my way through! I was lead to believe that I would find romance along the way, but alas it was not the type of romance I dreamed. Now that I am finally through, I doubt I would re-enter the mist or that world!

I almost DNF‘ed this book! Not because I hated the characters or I hated the plot, I loved them! I hated the font or the many different fonts! I have read books where different fonts were used and it worked - not here and it was more the types of font used. I ended up switching to the audiobook!
Overall I enjoyed this book, but it was a bit long due to several plots going on and I felt those could have been a bit less.
Would recommend!

For the Thrills & Chills Society‘s theme, “The House that Haunts the Night”, Thrills & Chills Library and I explored the Haunting of the Blackthorne House! While it was a quick journey, and we were able to survive the meek hauntings the house gave us, we are now concerned about turtles and their true intentions… now those may just haunt us…🐢🐢🐢
I recently found myself thrown into the depths of the Thrills & Chills Society challenge, paired with the Thrills & Chills Library. Our theme? “The House that Haunts the Night.” After a spirited exchange of our ghostly haunted house books, we set our sights on Haunting of the Blackthorne House!
Hopefully we can uncover the chilling secrets lurking within those haunted walls!
You can find us over on Facebook at the Thrills & Chills Library
Let me start by saying I am not a fan of antique dolls or puppets - they freak me out! I thought this book would terrify me and at first going in I was creeped out, but as the story went on that didn‘t hold. I was more sad about the developments happening. I felt bad for most of the people involved. I was also left with a lot of questions in the end. Overall it was an okay book.

Time for another round of “What Book Should I Read Next Based on the First(ish Line?”
Okay the title needs some work, but which of these quotes strikes you as a good next read?!
Wow! Not sure what to say about this book. It was definitely not as thriller-y as I thought it would be, but it was really good. Some of the twists I was expecting, but a couple caught me by surprise. The truth is, I was left with questions once I had finished, maybe they were just small things that were overlooked in the grand scheme of the book, but I still caught them. Overall I really enjoyed this book and would highly recommend!

Be honest - did anyone know that this movie existed?! If you have never heard of it or seen it, it is amazing!!! So cheesy and fully of 80‘s music, it is a definite go to movie for me!
This was not my typical book, but I very much enjoyed it. It had a good plot, amazing characters and personally I do not love animals in romances - this one totally worked. I think it helped that I had watched the movie it was adapted into a few years ago, so I didn‘t have to think to much about what was happening and I already had a picture of the characters in my head. Overall - would recommend!

Book/Quote 2 from the poll
Not sure how I feel about this one. It had a great premise & the characters were somewhat relatable, but some parts dragged on. It felt super confusing at points because of certain plot points (don‘t want to spoil it). It was like too much was going on, but then it all came together when the big reveal happened & everything sort of clicked into place. I did not love the ending as a whole - certain parts were good. Overall I would recommend

Oh my stars! Why oh why did I put off reading this book?! I loved it! On paper (haha - books are made of paper) these two characters should not work, but they totally do! It starts off as a no strings attached arrangement, between two neighbors, but as we all know in these situations strings start to attached… I blame the dog! I highly recommend this book!

Book/Quote 10 from my poll
Wow! This book was an unexpected ride! I mean obviously I knew what was going to happen and the why was given early on, but not the full picture. The big twist I figured out before the reveal, but felt it was still shocking. Overall I enjoyed this book and would recommend.

This was Book/Quote 8 from the list I posted the other day!
I am trying to pick my next read based on the first(ish) line!
Which book would you pick?
Oh my stars, I wanted to like this book, I really truly did! I love the authors other books and was so excited to read this one, but it was so difficult for me get through! It had a great premise and the idea was there, but I am not sure if it was too many characters or too much going on, it just didn‘t work for me! I never got to the point of liking the characters or truly caring about them, so it was difficult to care what happen to them.
💙💙
I was really looking forward to this book because I love her other books. Sadly it didn‘t live up to my expectations. It was not as thriller like as I wanted it to be and the ending was a little bit of a let down. That is not to say it was a bad book - I enjoyed it and found it to be a good story with a good plot and characters who I loved. There were a few twists I was not expecting and that I found surprising. Overall I would recommend!
💙💙💙
I thought it was an interesting format - like we were studying the case and being given the little that the jurors were during the case. I kept expecting something major to happen and while major things happened - not as major as I was hoping. I would have appreciated the glossary words to be at the bottom of the page or a footnote so I knew what more of the references were as I was reading. It was a good book - would recommend!

I just started watching Yellowstone (I know I am behind!) & have quickly become obsessed with Rip & Beth‘s relationship/dynamic! Anyone have any good recommendations for books that have their vibe?
Doesn‘t have to be cowboy themed - I am open to all books with their vibe.
No triggers, but not a fan of pregnancy or children in romance books.
(I know I just made a big post about reading all my physical books - I can‘t help it, lol!)
Update for accountability purposes.
I ended up starting my journey a bit earlier than planned and knocked 7 books off the list of physical books I have either won in giveaways or gotten in book swaps!!!
I am super proud of this progress and cannot wait to knock more off the list!!! I am still using my spreadsheet and emojis to help decide what is next!!
Thank you all for the support, it is very much appreciated!!!💙💙💙💙
