How good is this book? I started it late at night, having finished Cracked, and got very little sleep.
Read for #readharder2019. Smuggled out as WhatsApp messages, the book is a mythic, poetic, harsh close up look of life in Manus Prison. The author is a Kurdish asylum seeker locked up for no crime.

At first I couldn't think of an entire series i had read twice, though I'm sure I must have in childhood. Then I realised - Hitchhiker's Guide. @EclecticReaders
Words cannot express how cute this book is. Can't wait for the next one.
Today in utterly terrible writing.
Little library haul today.
Some parts of this book seem to engage in a fair bit of cultural appropriation ("here's my take on Mongolian style folk art!"), but some of the pictures are pretty. I'm conflicted, and can't help thinking there could have been a better way.
Audio crocheting! (Huldra Sweater). #loveozya
Guess where I am? Swancon in Fremantle! Listening to Charlie Jane Anders read from this book and from a YA work in progress. Yay!
A new original shawl design I've been working on - current name A Shawl of Ice and Fire. Needs more rows on top and a plain top edging, then I'm planning a tiered dragon scale edging along the lower borders.
And the set is done!
She's done! Now I'm working on Goose.
Just need to embroider her face and make her a companion.
