pickGood. Follows the story of Friends the TV show and how it got made and it's legacy today. Even though it delved into the story of Friends I felt at times the author was just writing synopsis for episodes for chapters rather than telling the behind the scenes story so it took me out of the flow of the book.

pickGood. Switches between Italy in the 1940's and London and Italy in the late 90's. Descriptions of Italy made me feel like I was there as they were described in lots of detail. pickGood. Fantasy retelling of the little mermaid. It does start with a very close rendition of the Disney version of the story but once you get past that the story really comes into itself. The middle section is full of filler though as most of the action is squeezed into the last couple of chapters but for a debut novel it's got potential. Can't wait to see how this story progresses as the ending is left open for another book.

pickGood. Shows some insight into the films that made her famous as well as telling her life story. The first few chapters were hard to read as she came off brash but I stuck with it and it got better.

This is becoming freaky now! I read the lost passenger on the week of the anniversary of the Titanic (even heard some of the film score on the radio as I was reading it) and now I am reading Conclave on the week the pope dies. Not done purposely but it's just so weird that it has happened like this!!😲🤔

pickVery good. Full of historical detail and drama. Follows a young woman and her child who takes on a new persona when tragedy happens on the Titanic. Heartbreaking at times but also hopeful

Currently half price on #Waterstones and if you are a loyalty member you can get double points!! Can't believe it for a signed edition!!
pickGood. Very informative and impressive but also important to women to read because it shows how we have evolved. The chapters are done in a clever way as they take an aspect of a woman's life/body function and tell the evolution of that rather than just chapter 1,2 etc. Even though I enjoyed it and it was mainly very readable sometimes I did get bogged down in the scientific language at times.

pickVery good. Follows Helena Rubinstein and Elizabeth Arden and their quest for dominance of the beauty industry. Full of historical detail and drama. Even though I had heard of Elizabeth Arden before I didn't know much but this book has filled in some of my knowledge of her.

pickGood. I listened to the audiobook version of this. This was performed by three different women which added to the story and made it come alive and you could tell the difference between them. Follows three generations of Weyward women and their lives. Full of magic and nature.
