Couple of updates - finally finished the Stanley Tucci book as part of #auldlangaspine @JenReadsAlot - it was really good - and made me want to visit all those restaurants and even want to cook (and I‘m not a cook lll!)

Not bad - but way short of my goal of 90! Since life has gotten busier from the COVID years less time to read so think I will make next years goal 75. This was the first time since 2015 I didn‘t meet my goal 😞
But onward to 2023 and lots more books and maybe sticking with all my challenges I signed up for and not dropping out by March lol!

I love a good chunkster and this fits it 1012 pages!!! Love this series too so excited to spend my Christmas vacation (only 7 more hours of work to go) with this one!

Wow - this book was so well written and hard to read at times.
One of my first jobs after grad school was working with the MR population in group homes. A good number of the residents there were people who had been at willowbrook- some had no family contact and most had some significant behavior difficulties that I‘m sure came from living in that hell hole. So sad…

Not sure how I missed this coming out… but just requested it from the library!

Is anyone listening to this podcast? It‘s basically a serialized audio book (but with various actors doing the voices). It‘s sort of a loose follow up to sister stardust by Jane Green - started listening today and so far I like it - except the accent of the actor playing the main character goes in and out and is a bit annoying! Lol

Did well on my exercise/weight goals were great but reading not so much.
Lost 5 lbs (down 11 now!), exercise bike 21/30 days, walk 6500 steps 26/30 days, and read 2/5 books (life got busy but summer vacation is here! 🎉🎉)
For July: lose 3 more lbs, exercise bike 20/31 days, walk 7000 steps 25/31 days and read 5 books.
