Ready for the next one to see how this all ends. I am the minority as I liked the first book better.
I thought this was going to be more horror ghosts. But totally took a different turn. I really enjoyed the book. It was a good book for being the authors first novel. Looking forward to more works from this author.
Ready for the next one. I have to know how this ends. I wish I would not have waited so long between reading the first and the second one.
Holy Cow 7 years!!! ❤️📚📚❤️
Read this for the family bookclub. I really thought this would be more about the dictionary but it was really a coming of age story. My mom really liked it. I thought it was a low pick.
Oh I think I am in love with this book! I was not expecting to start it but my library hold came in and man I devoured it in two days.
Been in a bit of a reading slump. Trying to jump start it again with this one. I enjoyed the first one and it was a fairly easy read.
I picked this one for our family bookclub this month. The title novella was my favorite. But I enjoyed most of the other stories as well. As with every short story collection you always have some that you do not like as well as others. This sparked some really good discussions with my Mom and Brother. I will most likely read her other book.
While I still have one more to go in the series, it is pretty safe to say this is my favorite story in the series. I was not sure at first but as I read on I fell in love with it.
I wanted to wait until some of the hype died down on this book. I am glad I did so I could go in not remembering much of what was said. This was a great book!
I was surprised how much I enjoyed this it was an easy fast read. Not sure if the antics will be something I would want to read again and again. The comparisons to Stephanie Plum I totally agree with.
I think this my favorite book so far by Louise Erdrich. I love how timely it is, I love how she put herself in the book. I love that it is in a bookstore.
This was a really raw look at Viola‘s childhood and formative years. She is one strong woman!
Thank you Jenn!!!! I am so excited to read this one and Linder are awesome!!!! Thank you @MaleficentBookDragon for hosting this every year. It is my most favorite swap.
Saw this over on Instagram and pretty sure I do not agree with any of these selections. What do you all think?
@MaleficentBookDragon @Born.A.Reader My Jolabokaflod package came today. I had my husband open it and take this out so I can be surprised on the 24th! I am so excited!!!!
Extremely interesting book. 6 out of 12 children with mental health disorders. The book focuses a lot on the family and the study of schizophrenia. I would have liked a bit more about the parents and their backgrounds.
I remember this being in on someone‘s list as to have to read. I went in not remembering anything about why I had this on my to read. But I really liked the story, it turned into something different about half way thru. But I enjoyed it.
This was way more intense than I was expecting from Jennette. Lots of trigger warnings. But I am glad I read it.
I had no idea what this about going just that the cover was cool and it was shelved under horror. I really enjoyed this story. Not really scary horror but maybe cause it deals with some supernatural elements maybe.
I was really looking forward to this one. But maybe my hoes were too high and that made me not like it as well. I really wanted it to be all about all the stuff in our bodies. But there was too much about other things.
Really enjoyed this set of short stories. After I read them I noticed that they are part of a series but I thought they were good all on their own.
I did not know what to expect going in. I was not even sure what the book was about, just that it was always recommended. This is one of those books that will stick with me for awhile.
This was a cute book. I wish I would have read it when was younger.
This was a nice seasonal novella. Still really do not like Nesta. Lol.
I like this series so far, not as much as her other ones but it is good. Now Nesta is about to drive me crazy!
This is a blame it on Litsy read. It was super interesting and pulled me in right away. It is a nonfiction book that reads like fiction. Highly recommend.
This was not what I was expecting. I really enjoyed this tale of a young boy and his uncle.
Super interesting. There were several points that she made that I had not thought about.
Not totally book related - One of the ladies I follow on Instagram paints cartoon dogs. So I had her do my Sheba and Zelda reading.
This was not at all what I was expecting. However I pulled me in and made me have feelings that a book has not done for a while.
Was pretty good. Could have done with some editing to get the length down.
I think I would have liked this more but the main character drove me insane with how whiny she was and how she went on and on that she was crazy. Really distracted me from a lot of the story.
I just really love Phoebe. She reads her own books and they are great.
Well I was the odd one out at book club last night. The other four did not like this but I really enjoyed it.
This was my first Krakauer book and will not be my last. It was an interesting story about a young man who was from a well off family who goes out into Alaska to investigate a new life for himself.
Once one suspends belief and allows the book to flow, this is a good story. I enjoyed the audio version.
Well I was not really wanting to read this, but the book club picked it so I started it. And then I was pulled in.
I just discovered Ali‘s comedy last weekend and I knew I had to listen to this book. It is a memoir written as a letter to her daughters. If you like her comedy you will enjoy the book.
I had no idea what to expect going into this book. I really enjoyed the different story lines and how the author weaved them together.
I think I liked the first one better, However it was interesting to watch Darius go through growth in different situations this time.
Loving this series! I am totally flying through them!
Forgot to post this :(. This was a great fast read. Totally was engaged from the beginning.
