Somehow I put out this book months ago after reading 20%. I got notion in my mind that this book will definitely have a sad ending, brokenhearted, something that I would make me mop for days. But I was wrong, somehow the ending is fitting, some say it was anticlimatic, but for me it's just perfect.

My 1st reread since forever. I don't know why I always put aside the idea of reread maybe because of my mounting TBR, or I'm afraid I'll lose the feeling I got when I first read it. But I'm glad it's not true. I still feel it, I cried as hard.
Lesson learnt, not every story end happily, but how the story changed us as a person is what matters most.
It takes a special kind of book to make a person reflects on life, and this is it.
Finishing the 2nd story in the book, I cried so hard.
The 1st story gives me hopeful love.
The 2nd story is a whole new world, a roller coaster of emotion. An unconditional love 😭😭😭
It's a reread for me, and yet I still feel the emotion so strongly.

This is a hunger games with magic, more blood and gore.
There're teenagers from 7 families competing to death every 20 years to gain exclusive access for the one and only source of high magic in the world.
Although we have 7 teenagers, there are only 4 POV but they are all magnificent and unique.
If you're looking for dark fantasy with no protagonists, this is it.

I love how the book portrays the extend of love between father and daughter.
Alice woke up on her 40th birthday in her 16th body in the past. She is reliving the day of the her birthday for a chance to see her father young, healthy and happy again.
This is the story of taking chances and moving forward in live no matter what.

I think I come close to completing my goals this time, i managed to read 3 books out of 4, the 4th book around 88%. I got my 1st bingo after finishing Malibu Rising. As for my goal for reading 100 pages a day, not accomplished but i did managed 4 days out of 7 so it's a great progress 🤩🤩

This is a debut YA Fantasy by KayLynn Flanders, truthfully I fell in love with the cover, the storyline is not new or unique among YA Fantasy. But I love how the story flows, I couldn't put it down. Finished the whole book in 2 days. Love it 💙💙

pickI'm struggling to determine the rating of this book, between 3 or 4 ⭐
I love the characters, the Bassette sisters are the embodiment of handful girls with all-too-powerful magic, endless banters and always looking out for trouble. I love the magical world settings. The words are melodious and sweet but the phase is too slow. I think the action started after 50% of the book so I debated quite a few times to continue reading or not.

I guess I'm really biased for In Death series, every single book in the series is so lovable. I would pick up this series as whenever I'm feeling exhausted at reading and not knowing what to read next. I know that Eve and Roarke will be there to pick me up and save my day.
The 50th and yet still so so good and heart wrenching at the same time.
