Few hours in the hairdressers got most of this one read! Great series and always end on a cliff hanger so you just HAVE to read the next one!
#booked2020 #newin2020 - published yesterday, I forgot I preordered and was a nice surprise when I opened the kindle this morning.

In between pick and so-so. This is the third book in the series, but it has been impossible for me to get the first two. They only exist in a few languages. A dirty old perv is found dead at home. Turns out he was a really sick and twisted man and the police starts digging into his past. The Inspector has family problems of his own with his addict of a daughter. Might be a bit too vulgar for some people due to its sexual content. #Murder2020 11/14

Ben Hope on the move again! A bit different from the other books, but once again Ben is at the wrong place at the wrong time, and he ends up helping a stranger to find his officially deceased twin sister. But, they are not the only ones believing she‘s not dead. The book is about climate change and science, but from a different point of view. #Murder2020 10/13.

Tove_Reads @andrew65 we‘ve been talking about translations. This is the first one translated into Finnish. 🤷🏼‍♀️ Book nr 12... 1d
Andrew65 I‘m hoping to read the most recent one in a week or so. Don‘t understand why this series isn‘t better known or more popular! (edited) 1d

Another great one in the series- although these are marketed as a crime series these are becoming more and more supernatural/gothic. Love the stories and characters.
Used for #jennyis30 #hardboiledcrime

Ellis, the American. Jean-Pierre, the Frenchman. 2 men opposite sides, a woman torn between them. A deadly romantic triangle, a mission with global stakes. The Russians want to assassinate Masud, leader of the Afghan guerrilla force. A gripping, masterful plot which keeps you on the edge of your seat. Audio narration was excellent. Intriguing characters. It‘s a love story and a struggle for freedom. Recommended #Murder2020 8/8

Tove_Reads That‘s our February book 2d
EadieB @Tove_Reads I know and it‘s due back to the library so I‘m reading it today. On a Follett roll. 2d
Tove_Reads Is it good? I mean, of course it‘s good, but is it good for a Follett? 2d
EadieB @Tove_Reads Yes it is very good about Ross Perot and his helping to release Americans held hostage in Iran. A true story. 2d
Andrew65 I‘m a bit behind on these! 🙄 @Tove_Reads 2d

“The Needle” an enemy spy, aristocrat, and ruthless assassin. One person standing in his way. A lonely Englishwoman on an isolated Scottish Island who falls in love with him. Another Follett masterpiece. Full of suspense, intrigue, and adventure. Best WWII spy novel. Atmospheric and thrilling. A must read. I‘ve been reading Follett‘s books. Love them all! #Murder2020 7/7

Tumba Sweden. Triple homicide. One surviving witness is a young boy. DI Joona Linna asks Dr Erik Bark to hypnotize boy. Terrifying events unfurl. Dr. Bark‘s son is kidnapped. His marriage is on the rocks. Dr. Bark is also a drug addict. Dark story. Slow start. Main plot gets sidetracked too many times and makes book too long. Warning: nasty sexual language. Hope next book gets better. Translation may be the problem. #Murder2020 5/5

Erica Falck returns home to Fjallbacka Sweden. Her friend Alex has committed suicide. She teams up with Patrik Hedstrom, police, to find the truth. Old family secrets surface and someone committed murder to protect them. Nice debut. Book was slow in the beginning. Ending was a surprise. Interesting characters. Plot twists. Looking forward to book 2. Recommend to those who love mystery thrillers. #Murder2020 4/4

gradcat @EadieB I quite liked this one, too, Eadie. I think it was my favorite of the series so far (I‘ve read 6). But I do remember liking the next one very much also. @Andrew65 Oh, and guys? Sorry if I‘m repeating myself on #NordicNoir posts...It‘s hard to remember everything since I‘m not reading right along with you. Pardon me if I get boring!!! 😂 3d
