I‘m so incredibly busy and have fallen behind on photo challenges, but I saw @Gnora ‘s post about #Library30 this month, and it‘s kinda an obligation to do! Next week marks National Library Week in the US, so this is such an appropriate time for the challenge.

I‘ve been accepted into the University of North Texas for a master‘s in library science!! I‘m going to have my dream job!!! ❤️❤️❤️

Can I just say how proud I am of my local small town library!?! We‘ve never had serious librarians before, and only ever had old, outdated books. They rarely ever got new material, and the library suffered for it. We got a new librarian about a year ago and she is making MAJOR changes! She now gets all new, best selling books and is doing a library makeover! So proud of my small town library!

Most of my coworkers aren‘t cat lovers. I guess I‘m just a walking stereotype.

Help and advice needed! I‘m currently an 8th grade reading teacher- early 30s and 11 years in. I love my job but burn out is real and I just don‘t know if I have 20+ more years in me! I‘ve been noodling around the idea of a masters in Library Science, this way I have the option of staying in the public school system or branching out to work in a public library. Pros? Cons? $17k for a masters is giving me some pause...I‘d appreciate any insight!

This month marks a milestone. 40 years ago I got a summer job at the public library. My job was typing card catalog cards and working the front desk. 13 years later, I left to get my Masters in Library Science. I‘ve worked in regional, school, special, and since 1995, academic libraries. I never dreamed the little girl that ran a library of Scholastic books in her parents dining room would find her bliss as a librarian. #LitsyLovesLibraries

Woohoo! I got a call today that I‘ve been hired for a job at my local library! I‘m so excited!

Happy #nationallibraryweek to my fellow #litsylibririans! I am sporting my favorite library shirt during our library open house! Librarians do so much more than just help you find books. Libraries are a very valuable asset and resource for communities!

Littens, last week I turned that part time librarian job because of the schedule and needing full time work or two part times. This morning, I received an email that they have offered me that position with different hours so I can still temp and work in the library system! Now, to become full time!! I am beyond excited!!!!

I love my school's library... It so comfortable and cozy and fosters such a learning atmosphere!
