I loved this even more than the first. Now that we know the characters and world, we get to see them suffer through adventures and learn more about their magic. Agott is growing on me, despite her moodiness. She's got a backstory I'm interested in learning. Loving all the action in each installment, and the cliffhanger endings!

This was such a delightful cozy mystery & really just matched my mood perfectly! (It's set in summer near Vancouver but the warm sunny weather with cool breezes are what we've got going on here currently & really set the tone)
Intriguing murder to solve, fun well-written characters to meet, & a lovely new small town to fall for! I appreciated that the MC & police chief are queer so I'm looking forward to a slow burn romance in the series to follow

I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this book! I read it for a book club but I might explore more of this author's work now. It follows the stories of three women from different time periods (1908, 1934, & 1998) who have encounters with evil witches. The world building was great, I loved the interconnection and overarching themes of the three stories. The audiobook was very well done, the narrator made each time period feel distinct.

Death was born in Hell, the only son of Satan and Sin. Since before the Dawn of Time, he has ushered souls into the darkness of eternity. This is his first book.

I had a successful weekend reading during the #JustOneMoreChapter readathon! I finished the three books I planned, plus read a manga, graphic novel, and short story. And I started a few more titles to get me going this week!

#JustOneMoreChapter Wrap Up

I finished my books club book, The Weight of Blood and 89% of Lover Forbidden. Both were really good stories and I exceeded my goal of 400 pages. 466/400 to be exact 🙃.

I had a great time reading and hope you all did too.

Thank you to everyone who joined me this weekend for the #JustOneMoreChapter readathon!! It was so fun to see how much progress everyone made!! I finished two books and got about a third of the way through the tagged, which considering how much other stuff was going on this weekend, felt like good progress 😂
