Amazing falafel and eggplant combo and a book - life is good. ❤️
A little bedtime reading snack - sweet potato chips and a lavender lemon sour beer. And my awesome yard sale embroidered chicken!
Some potential #LMPBC options for Group M - still narrowing but has anyone read these? (two are re-reads for me that I‘d love to explore with someone else but not sure if anyone else is into that idea) Tagging the rest in the comments.

So not the best first week, but I traveled for work 3 days and it‘s just been flat-out. Morning meditation is harder to remember for this night owl than expected! I might tweak that goal and my step goal a bit since I failed to track consistently. At least I am paying attention and thinking about my health, which is the first step! #BFCR4 #TeamSpellbinders
Snuck away from my work trip (I had a 15 hour day yesterday so I feel entitled) to check out a local brewery and read my nook. I am the only woman in the whole bar 😆😆 The beer is good and I *love* this book so far!
I tidied up, put in a load of wash, and started some oatmeal, so now I feel entitled to chill with coffee and my book for a bit. Later I get a massage, visit my MIL who broke her ankle, and talk to a lady about another yoga job - all good things but a little introvert time is warranted first (my massage therapist and I gossip the whole hour 😆). What are your Saturday plans?
Friday night vibes. I have to say that when the MC in the tagged book wears a class of 2012 t-shirt, my gut just went “ooofff... you are so old, Ms. Class of 1997” It‘s a pretty cute story so far and a great break from the dark of the King book.
I skipped a round or two, but I‘m really happy to be back - I missed the accountability and the support of this challenge! #BFCr4
My goals this round: 12 books, 50,000 steps/week, yoga every day, morning meditation every day, and 3 different color fruits/veg every day. Cannot wait to get started!! ❤️
My to-do list and my laundry to fold. But I‘m skipping down to the bottom of the list to “read and drink coffee” first. I‘m already partway thru the bottom 3 of these, but I might be in the mood for some funny contemporary romance a la the tagged book or the one under it... Either way, not a bad way to spend a Saturday morning. ❤️
There‘s no day quite like library day. I have such an exciting stack, I‘m not sure where to start (but I‘ve got a couple I should really finish first... and I‘ve been thinking about re-reading/finally finish the series for The Gunslinger for so long!) The one you can‘t quite see is Gravity Is The Thing but I think the others are legible. 🥰
The rest of my #cozyswap from @BethM
I don‘t *need* another scarf or mask or bath bomb (which is to say I am obsessed with them, I love them all and no YOU have too many, okay??) and I am so excited to drink pumpkin spice in my own home tomorrow morning (I forget you can make it yourself! 😆) Super intrigued by the dish towel and the pecan pie m&ms equally. And the yoga deck and the cute candle and everything else?! So awesome. Thank you!! 💗🤗
Finally able to open my #cozyswap after a long day. @BethM Thank you SO MUCH! I‘m doing this I‘m two posts because one won‘t do it all justice. #Chloe is curious about the whole thing so she helped me set up the books. I love that two of these are ones you enjoyed, and I‘ve been dying for the other 2 -I can‘t wait to read them all!!
This cat castle is the best $70 I‘ve spent in a long time. I moved it out to the screen porch this morning so they can enjoy a little outside birdwatching and I can enjoy this book (I can‘t put it down) and my coffee and how much fun they are having. Amelia (new kitten) ran off to explore other things before I could snap a picture with the two little girls, but #Chloe has been hanging out and loving it. #catsoflitsy
Day 7 of #7days7covers #covercrush
This is the only one I haven‘t read out of my posts for this challenge, and I 100% bought it for the cover. My mom read it and said it‘s really bleak so maybe a good wintertime book?!
Snuggled up tonight with this book - and our new kitten! ❤️❤️ We brought her home today and the other two have a lot of feelings about stranger danger... Her name is Amelia and she is SO sweet and snuggly. She‘s a little of an older kitten - she was born in May - but not as big as she looks here!
#7days7covers #coverlove Day 2
Tagging @shellleigh33 if you want to play - post a pretty cover every day for 7 days, no explanation required.
Honesty: I took all my 7 pictures yesterday while I was thinking about it so I‘d have them ready. 😉
#7days7covers #coverlove Day 1 (it took a while to pick one!!)
Thanks for the tag @Amiable
I can‘t think of anyone I follow who hasn‘t already been tagged but if you haven‘t and you‘re reading this, you‘re it 😉 Simply post a picture of a pretty book cover every day for 7 days with these tags. No explanation needed.
I filled this bag for $10 while volunteering at my library‘s book sale yesterday. “Straightening shelves” (aka browsing) is the best part, after seeing other people all excited about books. The enthusiasm of fellow readers is so awesome!
When you‘ve had a work week (2 of them actually) like mine has been, you have a beer, eat homemade pizza, watch Clue on Amazon Prime, comfort read Mrs Pollifax, and maybe finally wrap your #letsgetcozy stuff to mail on Saturday. And you firmly refuse to remember that it‘s not actually Friday even though you need it to be.
Here‘s s hoping everyone else has a suuuuuper chill week to counteract the energy mine is putting out into the world! 😒
Thanks to starting this book, this is the first time in years that my TBR has dipped below 600.... I‘m so weirdly excited about it. Why does 599 seem so much more manageable?! August was a great reading month: 13 books finished with a couple being way back on said TBR — and every book is just better if you read on vacation.
Guys, I just bought a new car. And it‘s so. Much. Money. But my car got totaled on Thursday (everyone is okay) so... I‘m celebrating/freaking out a little with beer and a book in the backyard. Also my dad, who went with me, is loving the Honda CR-V song and wants to play it when we walk into the dealership to finish the paperwork. 😆😆
When it rains in the first morning at the lake - back in bed with coffee and a book.
@BarbaraJean - I am so spoiled! The thought you put into crafting this adventure - all the lovely instructions - was just amazing!! I‘m so excited for the books, the bookmarks are just lovely (And the squirrel!) I can‘t wait to try the tea (SO COOL)... I will add the stones to my yoga room collection and track some adventures in the Harry Potter journal. So thoughtful and fun - THANK YOU!! 🥰👏👏 (also: #Chloe approved)

Afternoon plans... I didn‘t finish out #BFCR2 as strong as I‘d have liked, but I‘m still happy with what I accomplished. I have definitely been walking more and looking for ways to get in extra steps, and I‘ve practiced yoga every day which is awesome - I tend to skip a couple days most weeks. I finished 3 books and I‘m in the middle of a couple of good ones (tagged book is ♥️ so far!). I hope all of #teamlitnfit had a fabulous last week!
Current bedside table situation (which makes me realize I need to wipe up my coffee stains more often 😬🤷♀️). Took a wellness morning off from work and slept in, read a little of this 3rd in a super cute series and also some of my chakra book from the lovely @shellleigh33 I have a lunch appointment for IET and then back to work this afternoon, but it‘s been a nice break this morning.
A bit late on my week 5 check-in for #bfcr2 #bookfitnesschallenge - but it‘s been a good week. Thanks to some great weather and fun outings, I finally got tantalizingly close to my step goal (38,000 out of 40,000). Yoga every damn day (as my current favorite teacher says). And I finished 6 books (I think my challenge goal was 12 and I‘ve read 16 so far). Pretty awesome week!
Summer Saturdays are the best. Lunch with a friend, overspending at the Book Barn (I now have holiday and vacation paperbacks to last me a couple years), an ice cream sundae, and now some beach reading. I hope everyone else is having an equally glorious day!! 📚🌊 🌴🍨
Such a good librar #bookhaul today - why do I have to go back to work instead of spending the rest of the day reading?!?? I also just saw summer reading for adults is happening at my library, and while I‘m late I hope to catch up on logging some books pretty quickly.
Week 4 #BFCR2 check-in: My insane tomato plants, which kept me company reading last night. This week I didn‘t hit my step goal because of the weather (crazy hot today and thunderstorms a few days), but I have done yoga every day, I‘ve finished 3 books, and I‘m on week 2 of the “Naturally Slim” program I signed up for at work. I‘ve also been working on self care and kindness because life can be hard. ♥️ #teamlitnfit #bookfitnesschallenge
According to Apple, I didn‘t meet my step goal this week - but I spent so much time running to catch waves with the boogie board today that I say I made it pretty darn close. 🌊 Finishing my last day of my yoga challenge in a few minutes and I also finished 4 books. I started a new eating program thru work so that goal shifted again, but still a good week for #bookfitnesschallenge #BFCR2
(Today‘s beach not pictured - this is Canary Islands 😊)
Late with my #BFCR2 week 2 check-in - but see where I‘ve been?! We walked down to the natural pool you see way down here and then alllll the way back up - and so many other hilly walks, so I definitely got my steps in (double most days). I didn‘t eat my vegetables and I skipped 3 yoga days, but with all the swimming I know I got tons of extra exercise. Squeezed in 2 finished books on our travel day yesterday. A great week 2! #teamlitnfit
So late with my week one checkin for #BFCR2 because we‘ve been stuck in airports in Madrid for two days and it‘s been kinda nuts. Finally got to Gran Canaria and settled in! I hit my step goal almost every day (nearly doubled it today) and did my yoga every day. I didn‘t track my veggies well, but I finished four books (2 I was pretty far in). Pretty good first week -and I just saw that that #teamlitnfit also nailed it!!
Got my nails done (toes too, not pictured), this stack of books ready, and basically nothing else finished before vacation. I guess I have weird priorities?! To do list is so long I want to kind of hide out and ignore it but I‘m going to be a grownup and start packing and cleaning. Tomorrow. 😉
Truly enjoying my re-read of this book via Hoopla audio - I‘ve been driving for work so much this week I already clocked more than 4 of the whopping 17 hours...I can‘t believe how much I forgot in 7 years!
My only quibble is that the narrator does this weird thing with her voice where she drags the last word of each sentence out and kind of down - I get stuck on things like that and they annoy me! Too picky... 🙄
Getting ready to practice in my newly reorganized yoga room (now with bookcase!). I didn‘t get my steps in today because of the rain and then doing errands and chores after work, but I‘m doing a little vigorous yoga flow tonight. #BFCR2 #TeamLitnFit
