I absolutely loved this book. Adult Fantasy Romance…. With a horrible cliffhanger. I should have waited for the second book to come out.

I enjoyed this book. I found it on TikTok. It was a quick read and I definitely will be reading the second one. This has some spicy scenes. I like the banter between characters and the ending really made me want to read the second one. Sadly, it doesn‘t come out for awhile.
I loved this book. It has some spice but I really enjoyed it. I got it from the library. I had to buy the second one because it was already OUT and it already had a hold on it. That‘s going to be my excuse when my husband asks. Lol NOW I need to buy the entire series. I can‘t just have the second book on my shelf.
I have been moving towards audio books. My son keeps me busy lol This was really good. It jumps from different perspectives which I like. My only complaint that I could see it getting wordy if actually read BUT I got wrapped up in the story.
I plan to start this on my lunch hour. I was really looking forward to this and I bought it when it first came out.....BUT......I was so nervous to read it that I didn‘t start it. Lol I just really like the series and I didn‘t what to be disappointed. Does anyone get like that about a certain book series?
I really enjoyed this one. I always give authors credit for writing a pirate book. It could be hard because majority of the time they are just on a boat and it could get boring. I didn‘t feel that way about this one. It‘s an all female pirate crew. It was very entertaining and I can‘t wait to read the next one.
I have been MIA for awhile because I became a mother. ❤️ Wyatt is three months. I hope he grows up reading as much as I do. Right now this is our favorite bedtime story. It‘s so colorful and has beautiful sounds.
I am always amazed what Neil Gaiman comes up with. I enjoyed this one. The ending surprised me.
I am currently reading Seeing Redd and loving it!!!! My husband surprised me. He got me a card catalog. He said that he has been looking for one since he found out about my Litsy handle name. For those of you who don‘t know 398.2 is the call number for the fairytale section. I put it on my fireplace and I can‘t stop looking at it. 😍
Woah... this was a long audiobook. It was a slow start for me in the beginning because some parts didn‘t seem necessary. It picked up and a couldn‘t put it down. There were a lot characters that I really enjoyed. Wasn‘t a fan of the ending because I had some many more questions. I just need to start the next one. 😀
I have really miss Litsy. I am a high school girls tennis coach and I work 10 hours at my regular job. That means no time for reading. 🙁 It hasn‘t stopped me buying books but that‘s another story. This was my first audiobook and I really enjoyed it. It was slow for me to get into book but I think I was still getting use to listening instead of reading.
I absolutely love this book. It‘s a Alice Wonderland Retelling. Frank Beddor does a great job describing Wonderland and I love all of the action. This is my favorite book this year. Plus I just got my new Wonderland book sleeve. Isn‘t it BEAUTIFUL?!
Reading Coraline and watching the game. Neil Gaiman doesn‘t disappoint. It‘s really good. So far I only put down the book to watch Justin. 😍
Snow White Retelling!!!! I love retellings because authors take an original story and add their version. That‘s not easy for any author. I really really enjoyed this one. It was something different. It didn‘t have the common elements like apples, prince or dwarves. I found it refreshing. I got it from the library and I wished I didn‘t because I have to give it back. That‘s the struggle I have with the library. Lol
I picked this up 10 months and I didn‘t like the way it started so I put it down. I am glad I picked it back up. It kind of reminded me of StarCrossed tv show a couple of years ago. A sea creature race is spotted and tries to take over. The author does stand up comedy and you see hints of that throughout the book. It‘s definitely a YA read but I found it fun. I am going to check out the next one to see where it goes.
FEMALE GLADIATOR! Of course I am going to read this. Love all the action and overall was good. There were parts that did hit the mark for me. I am not a big fan of books that have instant love. I am curious what other people think. Do you prefer love at first sight in books or do you prefer relationships to grow?
I passed this book in the book store. I stopped immediately and said “Hey Beautiful”...Lol I instantly fell in love with the cover. 😍 I love retellings. It‘s definitely ADULT retelling. It‘s dark, twisted and wicked. PLUS this is a series!!!!
I feel like Addison is judging me. “You just got that book yesterday and you just finished it.” Lol I am really enjoying this series. I love a good villain.
*****WARNING***** Do Not Start until all the books in the series are out. I loved this book and it has a cliffhanger that‘s killing me right now. I finished it this morning and I have been thinking about it all day. I love when “villains” have depth to them. Marie Lu did not disappoint. The first thing I did after I read this was google when the next one comes out. I am not going to be able to start another book for awhile.
I could just stare at this cover for hours. Loved this book. I am really into mythology and love Neil Gaiman so this was perfect for me. I read a lot mythology so I knew a lot of it BUT I love Gaiman writing and he really brought it life. I would definitely recommend this. (My coworker caught me sneaking a picture before I start work lol)
Wow.. I really enjoyed this book. It was a little slow for me in the beginning and I wasn‘t a big fan of Lada at first......BUT it picked up fast and I couldn‘t put it down. She‘s such a strong character and I loved how the book ended. I am curious where it‘s going to go from here. Now I just need to get my hands on the next one.
I loved Marie Lu Legend series so I was excited to get this. It was a quick read and kept my attention. I really enjoyed the blurred lines between a hero and villain. I really enjoyed Adelina and Violetta relationship. The ending definitely surprised me. I can‘t wait to get my hands on the next one.
It‘s been over a month so I can post what I got from owl crate. This is my first time trying it out and I picked an awesome month. This has been on my TBR list. Love the HP hat and the notebook with a quote from ACOT. It‘s great. The book is kind of a retelling of King Midas. I love the siblings relationships. It was a good pick for the month.
I got this new board and I decided that I am just going to put on there quotes from my favorite authors/books. I thought I start off with Neil Gaiman. What are some of your favorite quotes?
14 days of day and then 14 days of night....just as the ships are about to leave, a boy goes missing. Marin and Karin look for their friend and ended up getting left behind. They have no idea what to do until they find a note that says “HIDE”. This book didn‘t hit the mark for me. There was a lot of unanswered questions.
Dystopian Western mixed with One Thousand and One Nights! Loved the adventures and tales PLUS look at this gorgeous cover. A couple of the twist I didn‘t see coming.
Found this book in the clearance aisle and I am soooooo glad I picked it up. It‘s from the author who wrote P.S. I Love you. It‘s about a girl who does the right thing and gets punished for it. It goes thru the idea of being “Perfect” and what society considers “Flawed”.
I really enjoyed this book. I have always been drawn to cover. I found this at Books A Million for 5.97. I squealed when I saw it. It was a fun read and loved the twists. I got wrapped up in the mystery and awe of the caraval . Remember it‘s only a game.
I absolutely love this book. It didn‘t take me long to finish at all! I read before work, at lunch and all night. If you haven‘t read this you need too. I want to say more but trying to refrain from spoiling the ending.
I really enjoyed this book. Found this in the clearance section at BAM for 4.97. BEST FEELING EVER! It‘s been on my TBR list so I practically squeaked when I found it. It was a little slow for me in the middle but really picks up.
I really liked this book. It's a dark version of Alice in Wonderland. I am a sucker for fairytales. It was interesting to see where the author took the characters. Some parts were very twisted and dark but I expected it.
I finally put my decorations up. I am loving my mantel. I really enjoyed this book. It's got a hint of dark which I like. I was Team Katherine after the first book and now I don't know. I can't wait for the next one. I wish the author's book tour was near Chicago. I would love to see her again.
Wow... How does he do it? I always seem to get wrapped up every time I read his work. It's such a great story. I don't even know what to say about it... just wow.
I went out of town to Galena, IL and found this adorable bookstore. I finally got Norse Mythology PLUS a book magnet, pins and socks. I absolutely love the Fuck Off, I'm reading socks. Lol
I wasn't thrilled by this one. I LOVE LOVE retellings but this one just wasn't for me. I still finished it but there were a lot of times where I thought about stopping. I thought the dedication was really cute.
Finally getting to this book. Work and coaching tennis has taken all my time. Finally taking a vacation with my family and it's time to relax and read. I really like this introduction. My grandfather is on vacation with us and I love that I am so close to him. My family can't believe I plan to finish books at a beach house. Come on.....like I would go anywhere without books.
Watching my Cubbies and reading the second book in the darkest mind series. So far it's really good... if the Cubs win it would make my Sunday even better. 😀
This was such a fun book. It's made up of short stories by different authors. Each author was given a "challenge" by a booktuber about a different example of villainy. I enjoyed some more then others. All time favorite was The Blood of Imuriv. I wish Renee Ahdieh would write a whole book about it. Soooo good!
New book and Hocus Pocus is on!!!! Awesome Sunday night! I heard they are going to make Darkest Minds into a movie. It's been on my TBR list for awhile.
I got a BOM membership for Christmas. This was the last month of credit. I decide to pick a book that I wouldn't buy myself. I haven't read any kind of thriller so this was new to me. I LOVED this book. I only read it during the day because my imagination sometimes gets the best of me. lol I definitely recommend it.
I found the main character refreshing. Sometimes in books you get the "Mary Sue" effect. The character that has all the answers and is great at everything she does. This main character has doubts, isn't the best and doesn't even want to be queen. It's her passion that makes you want her to succeed. I really enjoyed this book and I can't wait for the next one. I should've bought it instead of getting it from the library.
Happy 4th of July! I work today but it's slow. My desk is filled with Captain America stuff. Someone heard that I liked it and now people get them for me to add my desk collection. lol I am excited about this book. I really enjoyed the movie The Librarian. I am hoping it's like that. Has anyone read this?
Working the weekend again BUT on the bright side I was able to start and finish this book. I don't know why it took me so long to notice the cover. Lol That's clever. It was a pretty good book. I was glad it wasn't filled with Romance. I am not a big fan of Rhee but I liked Aly. He was entertaining. Sometimes it felt like a lot was going on and I had a hard time keeping track of everything. I would read the second book.
"Another one bites the dust. And another one gone, and another one gone. Another one bites the dust" Just knocked out A book of Thieves and The Darkest Magic on my TBR shelf just in a couple days. The series is told from multiple character point of views. I thought the author did a good job keeping things interesting. I didn't feel the need to jump chapters just because I liked a certain character more. The book jumps the modern world to fantasy.
Such a great idea!!! ?
1. Chicago
2. I saw this Facebook post called "Great Apps for Book Lovers". It's become one of my most used apps.
3. I enjoyed reading Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. The movie was pretty good. Also loved the TV Show (NOT the movie) Series of Unfortunate Events and tv show Shannara Chronicles. Loved those books growing up.
4. No turtle. Not really a reptile person.

This book wasn't for me. It was my Book of the Month pick. It took me awhile to finish. I never like to give a bad review because authors put so much work into it. I always feel bad. It just wasn't for me. The conversations seem to ramble but at times it made it seem real. It had more paranormal then I thought it would which wasn't a plus for me. I thought it would focus more on the family feud kind of like the Hatfield's and McCoy's.
Went to Lit Fest in Chicago. I have been going the last six years and always make a weekend of it. First day I had my "Reading is Sexy t-shirt". I bought that shirt for my all girls book club. I get comments on it whenever I wear it. Lol The top picture is all the books we bought. There's so many books I am always in a frenzy lol. I am really looking forward to Sleeping Giants.
This was my BOM pick for last month. I finally was able to get to it. I picked it for a spy aspect. I gave it a so-so because it's not what I was expecting from a spy book. Once I realized that it was a slow beginning for me but it started to get good and a lot of shockers. Now I want a spy book.... Does anyone have any recommendations?
I had a horrible day at work. I enjoyed Red Rising and felt like another Sci-fi book. I heard great things about this one.
