Thank you Misty and Leigh for this package in honor of Sharon. 💙 I look forward to reading this book now that the temps are getting warmer. @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
Another cute rom com with a good representation for mental health. This revolves around a Bachelor like show where Charlie goes on, not to meet women and get married like the show calls for, but to get back into his tech world. His handler on the show Dev believes in the shows Happily Ever After story. What happens when these two develop feelings for each other? We also get good rep for Charlie who has OCD and anxiety, and Dev who has depression.
Finished this audio last Wednesday. It was so creepy but in a good way, not too scary. It's like a myatery/thriller/detective/paranormal/occult/psychological story. The ending was completely shocking to me! Five friends in Scotland go camping for a weekend. But one by one they disappear and Heather thinks it has to do with this broach they took from cairn. Then, she is the only one left and ends up in custody. Will anyone believe her story?
Finished this last Monday. It was a great book and had great representation on mental health. Ari is a tv meteorologist and Russell is a sports reporter. They team up to try to get their bosses back together because the friction at work those two cause is making everyone miserable. But in the meantime, Ari and Russell start having feeling for each other. But Ari also hides a part of herself from everyone. It was a great story.
Finished this ebook today. This was an adorable second chance romance of a couple who haven't seen each other in ten years but find each other again at a pre-wedding party and yep, they're both in the wedding party. And, they both pretend to hate the other but really, may still love each other. I really enjoyed this one.
Book #4 for the #FabulousFebruary Readathon.
@Andrew65
Finished this one last night. It was between a so-so and a pick but am rating it a so-so. I was interested in the story but did not like Dylan from the past, or Marcus in the past and present. So... But not a bad second chance romance.
Book #3 for #FabulousFebruary
@Andrew65
This was a cute audio about a single mom moving back to her hometown to be close to her family with her 4 year old son. She meets her brother's best friend and sparks fly. But her brother does not want those two together. This was a funny and quick story.
#FabulousFebruary @Andrew65
I had never heard of this before trying to find something to listen to on Scribd. This is a YA about this girl who has always seen numbers on everyone's forehead. Turns out, it's their death date. When she's 16, this "gift" becomes a curse when she and her best friend become the prime suspects in a couple murders in her town. I really enjoyed this audiobook.
Finished this last night. I feel this is an under hyped romance between two radio show talents. Almost an enemies to lovers trope. But this was a great story, a fun read. I thought there was also good underlying representation secondary to the romance in workplace seismic, grief, and even anxiety. Loved this one.
Finished this book last Monday. It was a great one. Loved the STEM aspect. And what a funny journey. Kinda a grumpy/sunshine trope. The hype is real.
Also finished this one on my Kindle. It was an enjoyable, fun read set in Alaska. A crew from L.A. come up to film a documentary of Moose Springs, but the residents want nothing to do with the filming. However, River is not to be deterred. Enter Easton, who winds up roped into all kinds of "help" for the crew, including taking them up Mount Veil,
Recently finished this audio. While I enjoyed the mystery and didn't see part of the ending coming, I was a little annoyed at the main character, the mom. Because some of what she did just didn't seem realistic. Like, as an adult, as a mom, she should know better than to do some of the things she did. But they had to happen for the book to move forward. And it did keep me guessing for awhile at who we could trust as the reader.
There has never been a Jill Shalvis book I haven't loved. They are all comfort books for me. Jane and Levi have never met but end up stranded together on a gondola during a horrible snowstorm. Faced with the possibility of dying, Levi calls his mom to say goodbye but can't do it so instead tells her the one thing that will make her happy - that yes, he finally has a girlfriend. When they make it out alive, Jane agrees to be his fake girlfriend...
This one felt like a slow story but did keep my interest enough to finish it. I didn't see the biggest twist at the end coming but did see one twist about Pastoral. I would call it more a commute than a cult many call it, but maybe it's just me. At least in the beginning. It wasn't the best book and wasn't a favorite like it was for others I've heard online. But wasn't too bad. Between a pick and a so-so.
Finished this a couple weeks ago on audio. I really enjoyed this dark academia. I actually think I enjoyed it more an as an audio then if I read the physical book because of all the Shakespeare the characters speak. But the narrator in the audio did a wonderful job.
I just wanted to mention here, since many of you have become good friends, that I lost my grandmother just over a week ago. She was in her 90s and l8ved a wonderful life. I used to spend my summers with her and my grandfather in the Poconos and they had all the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys books, and I remember reading them every summer. She was a beautiful soul and while sad, I am relieved she is no longer suffering. Thanks for reading. 💙
Finished my 3rd book for the end of the #JoyousJanuary Readathon. I think that's pretty good. I also listened to a good portion of an audiobook, but didn't get it finished. But the three books I did finish were all good so I'm happy.
@Andrew65
Finished this last night. It was a good and quick read about a woman whose father was arrested 10 years ago for killing 6 girls in her small Louisiana town. Now, girls are starting to disappear again, just like before, and Chloe ends up unwillingly drawn into the case. A good debut thriller.
We got quite the snow here for the south so I'll be hunkered down inside reading this book, which I'm already about 100 pages into. Hope everyone has a good weekend. #JoyousJanuary @Andrew65
I missed it yesterday but wow, 4 years on Litsy! ❤
Another great thriller. Lucas, a college student, decides to base his capstone project on a podcast he starts, which he creates of a three year old disappearance and murder of a sorority girl at his college. What happened to her while she was missing a week before she was murdered? Who murdered her? Can he help solve this cold case with the help of a former US Marshall who also takes an interest in the case and ends up needing to protect Lucas?
Finished my second book in the #JoyousJanuary Readathon! This was a great thriller. On to book number three.
@Andrew65
I didn't see this until tonight. I did finish one book yesterday (having read half of it in one day) and started a new one. And since I'm thankfully off work tomorrow for the MLK holiday, I plan to read most of the day. So it's a good week to for this readathon for me!
#JoyousJanuary @Andrew65
#5 Finished this one last night. I really enjoyed this book. It is a book that was translated into English from Finnish, set in Finland. About an Investigator Jessica and her homicide unit given a new case of a murder with a series of missing persons, who happen to be social media influencers, and trying to figure out how they connect and what is going on. I enjoyed it a lot. There is a previous book of this author's I now want to get.
#4 Listened to this on audio. It was a good book, though sad at times. This one is hard to describe. It's about a girl in school in England. She likes to sleep and blog. And keeps to herself a lot after an event that happened with her brother. Then there is this unknown character named Solitaire who is doing weird things at her school that are escalating. It is interesting and I loved the audio. But it does have some trigger warnings.
#3 well, I know everyone has loved this book, and I enjoyed it. But I didn't love it. Yes, the twist at the end was great and I did that see it coming, but I sort of got annoyed at times with the characters during the story. Maybe we're supposed to. But is was good and did keep me reading to find out what was going on. Another good, snowy read for January.
#2 This one has gotten mixed reviews but I enjoyed it. I think maybe people thought it was slow? But I liked the suspense. It's about an old abandoned Tuberculosis sanitorium that has been turned into a minimalist hotel. And it's in the Swiss Alps. A detective on leave goes with her boyfriend to meet her estranged brother and his fiance but then things start happening. It's a good thriller! Especially for winter!.
#1 I haven't posted any reviews this year. Working in healthcare and this new Covid varient has left everyone so shortstaffed this year, plus having so many people testing positive coming into the clinic us leaving me mentally tired and weary.
But this was a quick read graphic novel, the first in a series. Enjoyable. I've seen many on BookTube love this series. I just liked it. Maybe I just am not a graphic novel person as much as they are?
Perfect #thinkpositivebepositive as we're in the middle of an ice storm today. Staying inside to read, catch up on my Litsy reviews I need to post, #LitsyLove replies, and praying we don't lose power. @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
Misty, thank you, my friend! I did open this at Christmas but then got sick and forgot to post. I love Jlthis author and the note pad is adorable. You are the bestest! 😊 ❤❤❤🎄📚 😘

Sarah, thank you for this surprise package I received in the mail! I love this author and this was so very sweet of you. ❤
Almost made it. I think I made it to about 19.5 hours at the end of the night last night. Yesterday I got some audiobook in to and from work, about a chapter in during my lunch break, and about 45 minutes in before bed. But I am still not feeling great, however feel I did good considering! Lol
Thanks for hosting @Andrew65
#20in4 #NewYearSpecial
From last night I got to 17 hours. I may have 20 hours by the end of tonight. But I finished another book and got started on a new one. Still need to put in reviews but went back to work today and still not feeling the best.
#20in4 #NewYearSpecial @Andrew65
As of last night, I finished another book, a graphic novel, and am almost done with another novel. We'll see what I am able to read today as I head back to work tomorrow.

Thought this was a good, positive lost for a new year. Here's to a great 2022 for everyone!
Just finished this ebook. Due to being sick all week and having a headache, it's been easier to read on my kindle so I can keep the lights low. This was a cute romance set in Alaska. I loved Ulysses the Moose, and Jake the dog. But the main characters were good too. I quick, fun read.
#20in4 #NewYearSpecial @Andrew65
I'm going to try to participate in this #20in4 #NewYearSpecial as I will be home and nothing planned, as long as my headaches from my being sick this week will allow. Can't believe the year is almost over but praying for a better 2022 for all! ❤

Again, I am tagging everyone because I really liked this message. Found on Positivelypresent's Instagram page. 💛🎉
Finished this audio on Monday. Been sick since then. Not Covid or the flu, thank goodness, but an upper respiratory infection. Ugh. Anyway, this was a fun listen and I really enjoyed a book on Hanukkah and the Jewish faith in general. There were some laugh out loud moments while listening too.
Great way to finish the holiday weekend. This was the most charming, sweet, wholesome story. A bookstore in a small English town may not make it past the New Year but they still send out 6 books in a random acts of kindness gesture to people struggling this holiday. And we see how books and community can help heal hearts and loves. I just loved this book.
#thinkpositivebepositive @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
To everyone on Litsy! Merry Christmas Eve to those who celebrate. Happy weekend to everyone in general. We are almost to a new year and I hope we all look to take care of ourselves at the end of this year. It's been rough for everyone. Sending love and positive thoughts to everyone.
Want to also tell you all that this is the sweetest, most charming Christmas book. I am about halfway through so far but... wow. True mea ing of how powerful books are and how they can truly change lives. And set during Christmas. 🎄 And the cover is just so cozy and lovely.
An anthology of three holiday stories by Jill Shalvis. She is an autobuy author for me so when I bought this book, I did not know it was an anthology, lol. I normally don't read these as I always want more to the story. And I did here as well. But I still love anything Jill writes and this was no exception. Three Christmas stories of reconnecting couples. Loved all of them.
This was an overall cute ebook but there were some things that got on my nerves. The characters were a little over the top at times but still a nice, easy holiday read.
Listened to this on audio and think I enjoyed it on audio more than if I had read it physically. Though it's been a bit since I've read fantasy, so maybe that's why. Only Mages in the kingdom of Rose can possess magic. Others who do are called Wilders and are rounded up and killed, which is weird to me. But I liked the main characters and again, the audio was good. Between a pick and so-so
