I really loved The Mask. I'm still thinking about it. 🤯 The first 4 stories are the only ones about the king in yellow and are the strongest, but I did enjoy Demoiselle d'Ys, The Streets of the Four Winds, and Rue Barrée.

This worked for 6 readathons, which I'll list in the comments, for #WinterGames2021 and was a TBR read. #MistletoeManiacs @Clwojick

Let the #ornamenthunt begin!

1. Ornament I wish were life-sized - Captain America (no explanation needed 😂)
2. Ornament that has a character on it
3. Ornament with a picture frame on it (our dog Bailey, who crossed the Rainbow Bridge in 2015 😭)
4. Ornament that sparkles
5. Ornament that represents sports
6. Ornament that is bookish (my great friend @MallenNC gave this to me last year 😊)

🤍 I have a collection of mostly children‘s Christmas books that I get out each year and keep in a big basket. I love sitting and rereading them all!
⛄️ This is a tough one! It would have to be the Mary Engelbreit version of The Night Before Christmas.
🤍 Today I am grateful for meditation, which constantly surprises me.

Also, that book in the photo reminds me of Snowy Day, which is wonderful!

Eggs #1 - me too!! Thanks for playing ❄️☃️ and # 2 - I love that one too! (edited) 6d
DarkMina Thanks for the tag! I need to think about number 2 and then I will post mine. Nothing is coming to mind at the moment. 🤔 5d

Safety deposit box…interesting the history was there?

It‘s interesting Margot‘s take on Koreans vs Korean American. It‘s differences are stark. Why if we are the land of everyone do we not allow it to be so? Interesting thoughts for what is American this week.
Do you ever ponder it?

Sargar114 This quote feels quite fitting for these times and can see the application in the story. I love that Margot has all this information about her family to move forward with. 1w
AmyG Lincoln is correct. We are at war with ourselves. White supremacy is our #1 probem. I will never understand those people that view others as “alien” or below them. We are all human. No one is more entitled than another. 😔 (edited) 1w
TheBookHippie @AmyG I so agree. 1w

Karisa @AmyG Reminds me of the book Caste and what has been shown by the last presidency. It‘s all about protecting the perception of pecking order and power. So many contradictions in what is accepted when so much really comes down to race in this country. Having to navigate it like Mina on her own would be very difficult. Her story illustrates the “each for themselves” mentality. Mrs. Baek was there but only to a certain point 1w
AmyG @Karisa I have Caste on my TBR. And it‘s always about power. Or money. 1w
DebinHawaii @Karisa @AmyG I swear I will read Caste this year. I have the book. And yes, it‘s that hunger for power & money that will continue to ruin it. (edited) 1w

1. I just want to spend more time reading and less time playing games.
2. Dressing/Stuffing. It‘s just another form of bread and I love bread (and cookies)!

#Two4Tuesday @TheSpineView

Bklover 1. Me too. Good luck!! We‘ll both try! 2w
Aims42 Yesssssssss to ‘less games, more reading‘ 🙄👏🏻 No, I don‘t want to play Scattergories for the 274th time, I‘d rather read my book that is getting realllllly good 👍🏻 And yes to stuffing, it checks all the boxes! 2w
TheSpineView Good luck on #1. Thanks for playing and happy Thanksgiving 2w
