I Am Ozzy | Ozzy Osbourne

I'm torn on how much more screwed up he could have been to get kicked out of Black Sabbath than the rest of the band and I think his going solo was the best thing for him.
Question 5: Do you think it was fair that he got kicked out? What about his name change suggestion of Black Sabbath II? And which do you prefer Black Sabbath or Ozzy solo? My favorite is his solo work 🖤
#PrinceOfDarknessReadalong

TheBookHippie I think going solo was best for him. I do prefer him solo as well -but some of the Sabbath songs are my absolute favorites. As for the name I‘m not sure. It was so so moving to see them all together right before he died. 1d
peaKnit I think I really became aware of him and appreciated him during the Randy Rhodes years. I‘ve read Ronnie James‘ book, he was a class act in many ways so it worked out for Black Sabbath. I get his disappointment that should have had a 2 after the name - it‘s kind of indicative of his child like thought process at times. 1d

BookwormAHN @TheBookHippie That was amazing 🖤 1d
BookwormAHN @peaKnit I think even though he made it seem like everyone was equal, that he probably felt like he was Black Sabbath. 1d
peaKnit @BookwormAHN I think you‘re absolutely right! And it kind feels like if you me. He was the original #1. 1d

Whisper of Death | Darcy Burke

Pickpick

4 Stars • In A Whisper of Death (Raven & Wren #1) by Darcy Burke, set in 1868 London, Hadrian Becket, Earl of Ravenhurst, gains psychometric powers after surviving a stabbing. He teams up with sharp-witted private investigator Matilda "Tilda" Wren to solve his attack and her cousin‘s suspicious death. ⬇️

suvata Their investigation uncovers linked crimes, missing funds, and family secrets, with a cunning villain behind it all. Blending Victorian mystery, paranormal elements, and subtle romance, the novel builds slowly but delivers a gripping resolution, setting up the Raven & Wren series.

1. Quite by accident I discovered that my little handheld fan has a light-up feature.
2. I went to a different exercise class this week and was still able to walk the next day.
3. One of the eateries outside Nationals Park has an upstairs dining area with a lovely terrace view.
4. I‘ve wanted a phone charger on my headboard for years and was finally able to make it happen.
5. Vet‘s office sent a card.

I have read a lot of reviews that said this book drags on too much. Maybe it‘s just me, but I can‘t get enough of it. I‘m enjoying every last bit.
#CosmereBuddyRead

Meshell1313 Same! I‘m easily becoming Sanderson‘s #1 fan! Ok here‘s my part 1 thoughts! Jasnah is alive! Woo! And what do we think about the bomb that was dropped to Shallan- that Kaladin killed her brother. 2w
JacqMac @Meshell1313 I had a feeling she was still alive. I can‘t wait to find out how. And I wonder how she will feel about Kaladin now. They had such a fun relationship. Like brother and sister. (edited) 2w

rabbitprincess Whew finally finished Part 1! The scene with the Midnight Mother was absolutely chilling, very well done! And I happened to be reading this on the bus when I hit the illustration of the creepy spren lurking in the darkness 😂 YEARGH!! 1w
rabbitprincess I‘ve been finding this one a bit slower than Words of Radiance, but not sure how much of that is the book and how much of that is my thesis work kicking into high gear and leaving my brain mushy 😅 1w
JacqMac @rabbitprincess 🤣Great timing on that. I‘m finding the Dalinar parts slow. Not the flashbacks, but the visions. I could kinda do without them, but I‘m sure they are important, so I‘m trying. Lol (edited) 1w
Leniverse I've started a new job with a steep learning curve, and I've been too tired to even contemplate starting a 1200 page book, even though I've been really eager to continue the story. Today I finally decided to get started. I read until the end of ch. 17 in one go 😅 Not a pace I can maintain during the week, but I feel confident I'll be able to catch up. Love it so far! 1w
JacqMac @Leniverse It‘s so big lol 1w

Framed in Death | J. D. Robb

Pickpick

This is the 61st novel in the 'In Death' series. I have read them all and still find them to be both great police procedurals and very entertaining. This one revolves around the art world and does a great job of illustrating the work and research that goes into catching a killer. If you like mysteries with strong female characters, I highly recommend this series but start with #1 “Naked in Death“. Thanks to Edelweiss+ for the ARC. 4.25/5 stars

My favorite film of all time. Loved the book, too, but it's not my #1.
