Good morning Litsy! New book day. Imagine Sherlock Holmes in outer space along with being a sorceress. Really like the fun of this book so far.

Happy Father‘s Day to all the fellow dads out there in Litsy Land. Been reading this one for past couple of days. Really, really like it. Basically it‘s about (and this is the ultra short-doesn‘t do it justice snippet) a rogue alchemist trying to bring magic back into the world by capturing logic and math in two children. Very good!

Twice as nice! Not sure which cover I like more. The one on the left is shiny and iridescent but the one on the right is a BOTM club edition. Decisions, decisions...

Started this one this am. Premise is some no name rock band suddenly explodes on the scene and their music has the power to enrapture and control people in different ways. It‘s a short novella but pretty good. Takes the perspective of a music blogger who follows the band around and witnesses first hand what is happening.

This trilogy has been some of the best fiction I‘ve read in a while. Very well written and surprisingly thoughtful. If you like mystery and dystopian literature then you would love this.

Schlinkles I really enjoyed these too. Ben Winters writes a good book! 2w

Halfway through and loving the atmospheric feel to this book. 80‘s vibe mixed with time travel with a hint of Stephen King in it. It even has Dungeons & Dragons!

Wasn‘t to sure what to think about this book but it looked interesting. So glad I gave it a try. Such a story of family and finding ones way in the world. Also, full of magical realism as the main character, Rose, can actually taste a person‘s emotions and know what is happening in their life simply by tasting a food they have made or prepared. Really enjoyed this one and stayed up late last night to finish it.

Sounds interesting. People begin to get infected with a strange new illness, a sleeping illness. Those that fall asleep can‘t be woken up. But, doctors soon find out that their brain activity is heightened and more aware than when awake. So, the question is, what is going on, what are they dreaming about?

Woweee wow wow! This book was so good. It‘s one of those ones that makes you really think and reevaluate. Very thoughtful and meditative for me. Plus Satan was in it and duly named “Aloha” for his dressing in Hawaiian shirts. Take time to read this small novel. You‘ll be glad you did.

Reading tonight. Set in both a future America, where the state controls all aspects of life including your ability to question and in 1959 Wisconsin, where those dissenters are sent for rehabilitation. By a master of storytelling, so I‘m excited to be reading it.

Finished this last night. Pretty good story about a rebellion within a government agency that controls aspects of each city. The rebellion rocks the very foundation of society in the quintessential American city, Metropolis. The main character is sent to squash it along with his sarcastic, alcoholic artificial intelligence co-agent. Don‘t worry, it‘s much better than the description I just gave 😎
