I'm very surprised at how much awe I feel toward this work. I never thought I would read King - too much violence, gore, horror. But I was interested. What makes him so special? There were moments of gore, but there were also moments of beauty and peace and the terror that swept over you was deep and unexpected. I will definitely read more of his sci-fi work. This was amazing. George/Jake and Sadie. Love. #alternativehistory #BBRC @LibrarianRyan

Day 229.
Here I will note 365 books (or as many as I will have before I get tired) that have shaped my taste in literature. No explanations, no reviews. Just the cover of the book.
I do not challenge anyone. You are all welcome to take part.
Day 2 of #tarottakeover is all about our past and how we got to the current sitch with the Nine of Swords. The card drawn is the Two of Cups....reversed....makes sense.
Sorry guys we know the tarot is never rainbows and sunshine 😂😂
Typically this signifies disharmony and conflict, often associated with issues in love or commerce depending on your spread and your conflict.
My book explanation is below!

Although this is technically a diner and not a #Cafe, it's close. 😁 Al's Diner is the location where Jake Epping is able to time travel to try and save JFK.
This is one of my favorite King books and I recommend it all the time, even to non-King fans.
#audioworking tonight. Any of my author friends out there use storiad? It's kind of an interesting outreach tool. Has lots of potential.
@smalldogs_bigbooks2419 and @AmyG you got it stuck in my head 😂😂 restarted it today. Still totally love it.
Never in a million years, did I think I‘d become such a huge #stephenking fan. Now comes the million dollar question. Should I read the book first or watch the series first?
Thank you for tagging me @Texreader 😊
1. I'm very interested in history, so I'd definitely go backwards. There are so many interesting happenings, I wouldn't even know where to go first... 😅
2. Tagged. Even though I was thinking of several Dr. Who novels at first... 😉
I'm tagging whoever comes along and wishes to join 😄
#twofortuesday
1. I think on balance would like to go back to some key time periods in history, and witness key events.
2. Would have to be the tagged book and the yellow card man. Loved this book. ❤️

I tag 👇
#Two4Tuesday @TheSpineView Thanks for the tag!
1. I would like to travel 🧳 back to the past. Go to Croatia 🇭🇷 to visit with my grandparents‘ families.
2. The tagged book 📖 back to Kennedy‘s assassination in Dallas Texas which is my favorite Stephen King book.
Friends and Family gave me some book Recommendations for the new year. Looks like they know me pretty well and I‘m super excited to talk about it with them when I finish.
Been reading this a couple days now! Loving the concept of this book so much and really enjoying it!
Making my way through this one slowly, but surely. I‘m just past the half way point now and hoping that a nice warm bubble bath will help me read a decent chunk tonight! Happy Saturday everyone 🛁🕯📚
This is the third or fourth time I‘ve read this chunkster and I really just am amazed every time. I prefer the print to the audiobook, but audio works when my hands are busy. #20in4 book 1/4
Just realized I started my re-read of 11/22/63 on 11/22/21.
“Also, I‘m angry. I know life is hard, I think everyone knows that in their hearts, but why does it have to be cruel, as well? Why does it have to bite?”
My #BookSpinBingo list is ready to go for November 🎉 @TheAromaofBooks
If you‘ve been here a while you know I love a good Stephen King novel. I‘ll go periods of time where that‘s all I read. Here are my top five Stephen King books so far. Let me tell you, narrowing it down to five is not an easy thing to do. But I‘m going to ask you to do it anyhow. 😂Tell me your top five in the comments!

was a bit dubious at first..I mean... traveling back in time to save JFK?! 🤔 Definitely not my usual kind of book, for sure. But this book slowly grew on me and sucked me in. I became invested in Jake/George and the other characters in this novel. At times King definitely took his sweet time getting to the actual events of the title of the book, 11/22/63, because we don't actually get to the day in question until part 5.
Woot, part 5!
At this rate I'll be finished with this in the next 2 days and still enjoy a couple of these vacation days 🙃📖🤓
11/22/63 Stephen King
Since social media was bupkis all day, I got as much reading in as my eyes would handle. I'm over 500 pages into my book now. 🤓📖
Off until the 11th
I'm not a King fan. I've heard high praise about this so here's hoping... Green Mile and Rita Hayworth are on my want to reads list as well, but a dear book friend was kind enough to send me this copy. I've just been waiting to start it so I could actually read more than a few pages/chapter at a time. Work is at it's busiest right now, so I literally get home and only have time to eat before it's basically bedtime.
Oswald Bragging?
Of course this book sent me down a tiny little rabbit hole. If this is true (math can always be wrong, and times are never given), this is trippy.

This door stop was my first Stephen King novel and will probably also be my last. The story is compelling. King really makes you care about the characters from the very beginning. It‘s almost ridiculously long, though.
👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻
Welcome to America!!! We got a TON of these. Probably more today than there were immediately after the assassination.

🤣😂🤣
They still sell this stuff. It‘s still very popular.

SERIOUSLY?! Seriously?! Does Stephen King seriously not know the MOST FAMOUS INTERSECTION IN DALLAS?! He was 16 bloody years old when this happened in the present. Did he seriously FORGET THAT INTERSECTION?! HOW?! As a high school student (2001), I knew exactly where I was (it was a little spooky) when I was on the Elm St bus, crossing Houston St. FOR. THE. EVER. LOVING. LOVE!!! He‘s trying now.
#StephenKing #112263 #audiobook #fail #seriously
One. Bloody. Google search, King!!! Seriously, he didn‘t even try.

Total BS. The Spurs originally were in Dallas under a different name, but not until 1967, 4 years after this story is happening. Never mind that big screens showing basketball (or any other sport - they started in baseball in the US actually) weren‘t even a thing until 1985. It seems like King isn‘t even trying now. For. The. Love.

🤣😂🤣
This book is pretty heavy in places, but then it has these little nuggets of comic relief.
#StephenKing #112263 #audiobook
This is driving me NUTS!!! Why is King continually referring to DFW as “Central Texas”? DFW is NORTH Texas. 🙄 Did he write this before there was the internet? Before there was the ability to watch a local newscast online? That‘s seriously all it would have taken to get this important detail right.
#StephenKing #112263 #audiobook
This is a really heartbreaking part of the book, but this line is just great. Maybe it‘s the way the narrator delivers it that makes it so funny.
#StephenKing #112263 #audiobook
I keep feeling like he‘s referencing IT, but it took me all the way until he was in Dallas to realise the same person who wrote IT, wrote this.
#StephenKing #112263 #audiobook #RandonQuestion
This is SO accurate about Dallas. I had this feeling, too, when we first arrived in Dallas. It‘s weird. It‘s funny that I‘ve been to almost every single location mentioned already. 🤣😂🤣

While Stephen King novels are a hit or a miss for me, I thoroughly enjoyed 11/22/63! In my opinion, you must be a talented author to write a book over 800 pages & not lose your readers. The story was slow, but didn‘t necessarily feel like it was dragging. I would not recommend reading 11/22/63 if you're in a reading slump, but it's the perfect book to read over time. It‘s nice to read a little every day because I felt more invested in the story.
I love the little details throughout this book. Even his old cell phone and wanting to trade it in for an iPhone.
#StephenKing #112263 #audiobook #JohnnyDepp
I‘m taking this for a spin. I‘ve never read Stephen King before, so I‘m a little nervous, but we‘ll see.
#StephenKing #112263 #audiobook
Really well done. Got off to a slow start, but the suspense & plot twists built up as it went along. My favorite King so far (I don't like horror, but I'm really enjoying his other work). #fiction #alternatehistory #timetravel #JFK
I got this to read over my vacation next week, but couldn't keep myself from starting it! Up to page 156 and really enjoying it so far. #fiction #alternatehistory #timeslip
My girlfriend and her father said this was a “MUST READ,” so of course I read it. I was in no way prepared for how brilliant of a story it truly was. There was never a dull moment. I was craving more every second. It is phenomenal and is absolutely a must read!!
