You know when you're sick and nothing feels like a good read. I have started and stopped 3 books the last few days. 13 books loaded on my Litsy right now. I wanted a cozy read but now I'm not sure.

Suet624 I‘m sorry. It‘s tough when that happens. 2mo

AnnCrystal 💕Rest. May you feel better soon 🙏. Do you have any graphic novels? When I'm under the weather, they're really the only type of story I can focus on. Not sure if it will work for you, just wanted to share. 2mo

It occurs to me that our story, whatever it might turn out to be, is far from over.
“Sorry I‘m late,” he says, shrugging a little shyly. “I needed to finish the book.”

Assuming it stayed fairly accurate to true life, the parents and family of Helen sure didn‘t help, as they just gave in her tantrums, feeling badly because she was unable to understand why they might deny her what she wanted. It‘s short, but it has made me want to read more, probably nonfiction. I liked that there was a broad continuation at the end of the book that quickly explained more of Helen and Annie‘s lives together.

Pickpick

This YA fiction book based on true events was such a powerful read.

Two high school students protest an assignment about Hitler and the Final Solution. The impact this has on not only the school, but the community around it shows how important it is to stand up for what's right.
