3✨ Nancy finds herself in another mystery after she almost runs into someone standing in the middle of the road on a stormy night. More fakes being made of priceless pottery. Not a bad story. #NancyDrewBR @Librarybelle
3✨ Danielle‘s cousin comes to town in order to seemingly make her life miserable. They don‘t get along, and Danielle thinks she is there to take away half the inheritance from their grandmother even though the will was clear, the mind of their grandmother may not have been. Walt is still present in this book and there is a lot of funny moments. I‘m really enjoying this series.
3✨ This was a cute romance, and sisterly love book. I laughed at Phoebe‘s clumsy ways, and cringed at interactions between other characters. While her sister was not with her through a lot of the book, it made it more interesting with the interactions she made with three other characters. When the sisters were together it‘s the type of relationship all sisters should have with love and acceptance. #LittensLoveRomance
F found this book in the free books at her school and got it for me. 🥰💛
3✨ This is not something I would have picked up for myself. I struggled with the teen pregnancy and the girls were cared for, but not well. One character was so young and her story was difficult to read. The imagery in certain scenes was graphic and hard to get through. I felt like I was closing my eyes for a scary scene in a movie, but peaking through my fingers to actually read that scene. As a mom this hit me really hard. #FableBR
3✨ This was not my favorite book in the series. For one I like Chaol and Dorian as a team with Celeana. They don‘t have to be romantic interests just helping each other. Now there was growth in the characters, and Dorian finds a healer that he might be able to trust. The ending had me crying, angry that they killed a character that I liked, and excited for the next book. Major mixed feelings, but excited to see what happens next!
5✨ Telling you why this is a high pick for me would give away the ending! So instead I enjoyed this one slowly. It had two POVs one being a guilt ridden boyfriend of a missing girl, the other a girl that lost her memory. While we follow his effort to find his missing girlfriend we also follow her path to remembering herself again. The ending! I thought I knew what was happening, but Lally surprised me big time! #HTBookClub
3✨ Anne leaves college to pursue her career. There are lots of challenges outside of green gables, but she finds friends everywhere she goes. No matter the challenge Anne is always ready to take it on.
4✨ Following a pregnant woman to a store to get the crib she should have got a long time ago it seems like any other day. However, a massive earthquake causes disaster to strike her town. The only thought on her mind is to survive and find her loved one‘s. I enjoyed this book and the consistent flow it had. While the ending was good I would have liked an epilogue of what happened after that last moment.
3✨ Trigger warnings for suicide and bullying. Marjorie is back with Wendell and we meet Mr Duncan‘s daughter. She doesn‘t really fit in with the popular crowd that Marjorie is hanging out with. She is interested in photography and ghosts. Marjorie befriends her, but only when the popular kids aren‘t around. This was deeply emotional and can show how you can help someone facing deep depression by the end.
3✨ This is a chunkster of a book that goes over a lot. We have a few main characters throughout as one little girl grows up. Did I follow along the whole time? No. I was interested in the people and how they grew, but there was quite a bit of battles that just didn‘t interest me.
3✨ Enna‘s brother comes home and learns how to make fire using power inside of him that he didn‘t have before. When tragedy and war break out in their country Enna is at a crossroads in what to do when she learns the fire power too. It is the second book of the Goose Girl series and does feature characters we met in the first book.
3✨ The second book made me laugh just as much as the first. Especially, when Kingsley the frog is in the scene. We get more backstory of the villain, Kingsley and others throughout. The villain seems to be losing or having trouble using his magic. Sage and the villain not admitting they like each other even though it‘s obvious was a little much, but overall I really enjoyed it.
3✨ I felt that this was more about mice and rats than a zoo. It had quite a few side stories, and it was apparently after the giant snail ride. #DolittleDiscussion @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
My best book is Dog Man! I‘m going to need another cutesy graphic novel as my break from heavy books. I‘m thinking investigators.
3✨ This was the last book I was able to read in July. I wasn‘t a fan at the beginning, and just couldn‘t focus on the different POVs with who was who. I enjoyed many of the animal scenes, and by the end I was understanding what was happening. I appreciated the discussions from #Camplitsy25 which helped me to figure out the roles of the different characters and finish this book. Honestly, since I started work that was more my issue than the book.
This author is just amazingly hilarious. I got this email via a Goodreads review, and I‘m excited about this new book because he promised Brownies if we ever met. 🤣
I should finish the tagged book this month and then hopefully narrow down my growing que. it‘s caused because I keep reading new series and not reading my other books. 😅 #BookSpinBingo @TheAromaofBooks
Yay! That email made my day. 😍 Can‘t wait for the gingerbread book in September. 🥰💛
I can‘t believe July is coming to an end already. So many more books I wanted to read this month, but just didn‘t have the time. But as we close out this month, I want to introduce the new books for the #FableBookClub. If you like the thrills and chills, join us at the #RoaringWolfFrightNight. If fantasies more your speed, join us at #TheWyvernScrolls. Check out @Littlewolf1 ‘s post for the links! 🥰
We had open house just now and tomorrow is the students first day back. I might be more absent, but I‘m excited to make myself proud, and my students excited about my subject matter. 🥰💛 (Toilet paper is my tissues if you were curious) 🤣
4.5✨This was a really fun read. It had fantasy with magic, deep sea scuba diving for ship wreaks, crazy unexplained natural phenomena, and a couple of plot twists. There are 3 main POVs that help tell this story and it is mapped out really well. Since there is a time line change there is quite a bit of characters which I struggled with, but it was everything I hoped for. 🥰 #HTBookClub
3✨ It helps provide perspective to different walks in a trans persons life. As a cis person I don‘t know what this feels like, or the struggle. I like the strength that Abigail had in this book to be herself. I also like the support she found. While I struggle with the teacher/student dynamic in this book. I also know that it was more about how there are people who want to understand, and time and effort are how we can get there. #CampLitsy25
1.) F took her karate belt test and did really well! 🥋
2.) Went back to school and even though I already know I have challenging students I realized we made connections in summer school! 🥹
3.)S got her hair badly cut by F and still had a good attitude. 😬😱
4.) Tess and Monica learned to sit!!
5.) In my back to school picture I showed off my new Scooby Doo lanyard! 😍

3✨ I liked that they talked about taking care of the animals better in circus‘. Dolittle is constantly getting himself into jail because of his animals. There is only a few side stories this time so it follows one main plot. Not a bad read. #DolittleDiscussion @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks
Yes! 🙌 I found all the #WickedWords @AsYouWish
4✨ This was the cozy ghost story I‘ve been looking for! I‘m so excited that I got to read this books and start this series. Marlow at first doesn‘t know he is a ghost until Danielle, who can see spirits, lets him know. She inherited the house which was passed down from Marlow in a very unconventional way. They work together to solve the mystery of how he actually died, and what happened to the people that were closest to him. #FableBR
We do not care we are staying home, being very unproductive, and wearing pjs. It‘s our last day of summer break, and we have to report back to school tomorrow.
Prayers and good vibes though. I struggled significantly last year with behaviors of students and my own self worth. I love teaching, but it‘s taking a toll on my mental health. I‘m hoping for a love of teaching to spark in me again with a good group of kids. @dabbe #WDNCW
5✨ I love Dog Man! In this one we have references from: Star Wars, Mr Roger‘s Neighborhood, scripture, Stan Lee, and Monty Python just to name a few. Big Jim is such a bright character, and it looks like this starts a new series! 🤩
3✨ A new take on a vampire story was a fun read. Our female lead is smart and is trying to find a cure before her brother who was infected becomes a full vampire. She meets Blade who will be able to help her with more than just answers. While I didn‘t love it, I did like how different it was to continue the main series. #LittensLoveRomance I have to return to work Thursday so I wanted to make sure I‘m finishing up some July reads. 🥰
5✨ Now the kings champion she must do his biding, which is taking out his enemies. As we progress in this book we grow stronger relationships with her friends, learn more about the past, and find out there is a more pressing adventure that needs to be accomplished. By the end we find out a huge truth. I was confused for a long time, but to tie it all up into a nice story to continue is really exciting! #LittensLoveSJM I know I just couldn‘t stop!
3✨ I really liked the fantasy concept in this story. We have a woman that is strong and her finding a way of breaking a spell on a demon. This causes them to go on an adventure to free other demons controlled by the goddess. Getting spicy really quickly is not my favorite type of romance, and the plot was a great idea. I wish we would have gotten more of the story itself. #HTBookClub
3✨ Trigger Warnings for mental health and suicide for this one. A very smart young man suddenly becomes overwhelmed with self-harming thoughts and admits himself into the hospital. He learns much more about himself and how lucky he is. It was a good story about overcoming, and how you need to take care of you. The author went into a psychiatric hospital and has woven a story that the path to happiness is not always so clear. #Roll100
DNF- I was having trouble wanting to pick this up. I was excited to read about a dragon, and it does have the dragon, a wolf, a cat, a magician, and a strong woman with a past. Everything you could want, but there was mention of men‘s work, woman‘s work, and she is in hiding because maybe her husband who abused her? I went 100 pages in and it‘s just not grabbing my attention. As an inherited book it‘s time to let someone else enjoy it.
3✨ I had a lot of questions while reading this first book. There was a lot going on, and quite a few characters. There was also a lot of secrets to keep you guessing. I enjoyed the bond of that characters and the magical world that was created. #FableBR
I found so much in this last set I was super excited about. Prisoner of Azkaban was $15, but because I got so many it was FREE! Then the Dear America‘s are really hard to find. 😍
This was my first book haul from Bookman‘s in Tucson a little closer. The illustrated Harry Potter books were only $25! 🤯
4✨ We find ourselves about a year later from the first book. The warm and cozy feelings in this entire series are amazing! I really like that it focuses on grief taking time. It also reflects on being there for someone when they are going through grief and just loving them. Along with encouraging someone that is on a new path with a major life change. Honestly, it‘s hard to sum up all that this short book had to offer. Highly recommend!
