My book haul from Black Friday shopping and from Goodwill during my first set of Christmas shopping. I‘m pretty happy with these selections. 🥰

Here are my #CasttheDie picks for December. I decided to lower my Audible reads. This is all audiobooks I have. 😬 Sad thing is I have loads more. 😅 @PuddleJumper

5✨ The second read through made this a lot easier to love even more. So much is happening to keep you engaged in the story. Like with Dorian! Edge of your seat type of material. #LittensLoveSJM @StayCurious

5✨ This is one of those books that you want to say why you love it, but you would spoil the best parts by doing so. Our MC is a ghost writer and she can also see ghosts. Her parents own a funeral home, and life seems to be falling apart for her love life. When an event brings her home she finds herself helping a ghost who also is helping her. #HTBookClub

We do not care that we are focusing on tackling our debt. I found perfectly exquisite toys for 2/3 kiddos for Christmas at Goodwill for $60 and hit up Facebook Marketplace for a few other things ($50 on a 5‘ Frozen dollhouse!) Focused on debt payoff and finding affordable toys that are new to them is the goal this year. 🥰💛 #WDMCW @dabbe

3✨ What I liked was the main plot, mysterious, and creative. It was better than the second book in my opinion. Now it basically just ended and we have to wait on the next one. There is also a major love triangle in here that I really don‘t like. If it wasn‘t for the plot I would probably stop reading this series.

I did a lot of audio cleaning today to prep for Thanksgiving at my house. Still a lot to do, but wanted to show my self made Dunkin‘ Wicked cup. 🥰💛 I was able to get the straw toppers and munchkin tin, but the tumbler was not available both times I tried to get it so I got a pink tumbler instead.

A bit late, but I did enjoy one book this last week. @Read4life

Really not liking this love triangle situation. At least I can enjoy the outside now. It‘s been raining for 3 days straight. Not common in our Arizona town.

4✨We follow the relationships of friends all four years where Autumn our MC is dating Jaime. They are in love, or does she even know what love is?
Meanwhile, she is learning and growing, gaining new tiaras along the way. This book had me invested in these friend‘s lives. While I don‘t think life should only be about relationships with others it made for a really good story. By the end, I was happy for our MC however, the ending also gutted me.

2✨ I‘m going to say “meh” for this one. It has hunting, soldiers, and an adventure to find the White Stag provided by their gods. By the end we learn of Attila the Hun‘s birth and development to be the man that many of us have probably heard of. #Roll100 @PuddleJumper

DNF- The dialogue in the book between her and other characters was great. She got great advice and that advice could be helpful for a teen girl to think about if in the same situation. Then the MC ruins it by a self centered comment after she's away from the other character. I wasn't able to continue being in the mind of the MC, but the ending helps to show the consequences of actions made and a little prayer can go a long way.

“I had spotted it first….But I could see that Shawna wanted it too, so I just backed off and let her get it. Talk about self-sacrificing.”
Ugh, I‘m remembering why I took a break from this book. I get that the point is she gets jealous, but every interaction she has she thinks she‘s better than the other character. I think I‘m going to read the last chapter and call it a DNF. 🤦♀️

2✨ I‘ve had this book for a long time, and while I‘m glad I finally took the time to read it I‘m not a fan. We have our main character trying to lose weight and writes complaints about ordinary things. There is a lot of bombings throughout the book, and I honestly thought there was an out of body experience going on, but it has an even stranger ending.

Not a contest! I loved this book. While I didn‘t give it 5 stars that is solely how the author left the ending of the book and I can‘t get the next one because it‘s not out until May 2026! 😭😍💛 @Read4life

4✨Okay, how can I talk this book up. Because guys! It‘s a fun ride. Rae is literally on her death bed from the cancer that is consuming her while her sister reads her their favorite series. Then she is given the opportunity to be the villain in the story they were reading who also is not supposed to live. Where nothing is real she has no problems being the villain when everyone in her real life was abandoning her. Long live evil. 😍💛 #DogsofLitsy

2✨ This book hurt. We have a demon that loves her city that is destroyed. An angel helps her rebuild, but more happens that caused my personal heartache. It is short in jumps through time a lot because of that. Then it hurt. 😭 #FableBR @Littlewolf1

3✨ I struggled with the racism in this book. Especially, when a certain character dies because of hands that should protect. This launches Black Tom into what he becomes. It is pretty dark and gory, but I like the connection to Lovecraft that gave major creep vibes. #FableBR @Littlewolf1

My daughter F kept finding these axolotl‘s mystery characters because she likes axolotl‘s, but never got any. Today she tells me there was a bookish one! I got two and crossed my fingers for it and the zombie one. First unbox was the bookish one, and the other is a traveling one. Now I‘m on the hunt for my zombie cutie. 🥰💛

I‘m going to try to be more present, but this school year is overwhelming. Not only do I teach 3 different subjects, but I have my two out of three kiddos that need help with homework this year. I‘m still reading, but having trouble doing much else. 🥹

3✨ My regret with reading this book is I was finishing a very stressful grading period and I don‘t completely engage in stories as well. This was a fun read and has a cliff hanger so have the next book ready. I was getting confused with the characters since there is three POV characters. There is tea, vampires, and an elaborate heist. #DogsofLitsy “Dice”

4✨ This book was another really good one. There was a wow factor like I have been seeing from this author in other books, but I wasn‘t as blown away. I was suspicious of one character and then he ended up dead. I was treading lightly with the other characters wondering if they could be trusted. #DogsofLitsy “Tess”

My worst book of October. Not because it was bad, but because it wasn‘t for me.

3✨The three odd sisters were a similarity among all the books so far. This was their origin story as well as recapping what happened from them in the other books.

4✨ The ending has you wanting more. It‘s pretty good. Just a little too spicy for me.

3✨ This is a concept that I never fully understood. Trying to look your best so much that your life revolves around chasing the fountain of youth. The fantasy element and time jumping had me a little lost, but our narrator was confused too. The ending had me scratching my head, but overall a nail biting story. #HTBookClub
3✨Classic! One I will probably keep re-reading. While I know the story I feel like there is more depth each time I read it. 🥰🧟♀️💛

3✨When I read this I had no idea how to describe it in order to review it. The writing was beautiful and almost poetic. The main story line was interesting, and while it was based loosely on fairy tales it was very unique. Now with that said the triggers in this book were ones I didn‘t know I had! The main character was very hard on herself and self destructive in a non-permanent way. Overall, a good book yet off my shelves. #FableBR

4✨ Another great book in this series (Book 5). Anne and her husband share their first years as a married couple in this little house. They make new friends and receive letters from old ones. They experience a lot in these few years. I smiled deeply for them, I had to take a break at a few sad moments, and am encouraged to read this again as a cozy comfort.

3✨ An interesting read of an immortal who is supposed to save the world from the dark. I think I couldn‘t get past an eleven year old being so wise after reading the book he was destined to read. While the story was entertaining. I personally feel a kid should be a kid and I felt he changed after reading the book. He also had moments where he had to act different. Yes, he is the last old one, but for 11 years he was someone else? #roll100

3✨ I can see why so many of you have enjoyed this book. We have a patriarch who ends up hospitalized and in a coma. His three children are very diverse where the daughter is taking care of the homestead, the older brother lives far away making his life, and the younger brother who is down on his luck and makes bad decisions. They have a family crematorium which adds to the action we see in the book, and a lot of secrets.

3✨ The second book in this series follows different characters while checking in with our previous vampire like couple. We learn more about the world and the people in it, but learn the more werewolf side of this world. I felt more steam punk in this one than the first. I think I liked it a bit mrore than the first book as well.

4✨ I was encouraged to read this one by @Littlewolf1 who knows my reading style pretty well. It was an action packed, hate to love, and an amazing strong female lead. I liked so much of this book, but I would have to say the banter between the MC‘s caused me to laugh loudly. While the intimate scenes made me blush. The overall story line and that ending made this book unique and enjoyable. Man I can‘t wait for the next one!

4✨ If you know anything about this book you know it‘s a hard read. I remember as a kid watching this movie as a “Friday Fiction Movie” my teacher (Dad) always put on classic literature movies every Friday. This one was so memorable that I wasn‘t able to read it until now. The hurt that we feel for this young man who worked hard for his dogs, cherished his dogs, and was saved more ways than one is timeless.

Now I would t say this is the worst so it won‘t last long, but I had a great September reading month. 😅

Last day in a 4 day weekend. I‘ve been a busy bee detail cleaning everything. Today‘s mission the fish tank in my new reading nook, the kids rooms (giving away and throwing away), and the front bathroom. If I have time in the middle there putting away the laundry and the back bathroom. Reading the audio tagged and I have the next Anne of green gables book ready to go.

New reading spot after I rearranged two rooms (not quite done). I need to detail clean under furniture so why not! Listening to the tagged while I‘m cleaning and rearranging.

4✨ I was not a fan of how this started, but after it built up some background it was non-stop excitement! The world creates its own version of human, vampires, and zombies (young vampires). Poppy is a maiden that could help the people that raised her. She is a strong and emotional character that goes through a lot! When people around her start dying she ends up being guarded by the handsome young guard she‘s secretly had her eye on. #HTBookClub

It‘s still September! Here is my TBR for October and #ScreamTeam I couldn‘t decide what to read to be honest. I have so much I want to still read. 😅

3✨ Some say this should be the first book, some after the third book. Wherever it is placed it hurts. It‘s shows us the depth of our main characters hurt.

3✨ This was not as good as the books before it, but it does leave off in a great place to be excited for the next book. Have to say Kingsley is why I keep coming back though. 😍

I‘m not sure if you know this about me, but I love zombies! 🧟♀️ As reanimation goes Frankie is my monster. I‘m curious if anyone would like to read along with me as I reread this one in October. 😍

3✨I watched the animated version many times. I was happy to see it was really similar, but also that caused me to not have any major excitement. Solid classic. 🥰 #Roll100 @PuddleJumper
